Friendly, great customer service. Had a lot of work done on my truck. Which it so greatly needed! All the issues I ve had for a while with it was like poof gone. Feeling like I m driving a new car is wild. Definitely going to continue bringing and recommending them to others.

They seem like nice guys but I feel like their operations are suspect. I paid over $4,000 for a "new engine" yet my car has been non operable since shortly after getting it back. Prior to that I had them fix the buttons to my driver's side window because one the windows wouldn't respond. First off, they installed it backwards. Then I realized it was not a new part but a used part. The bill reflected a new part. Smh. I really wanted to like these guys but their results constantly made me feel like I was being taken for a ride.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Had an incredible experience. Both Steve and Henry are great!!! Honest, reasonable, and hardworking. I definitely recommend anyone who has issues with their car to go to them. You will be very happy with their service and attention. They are now the only place I will ever take my car to for any service or maintenance. Thank you both, I truly appreciate you!

I have been going to this business since it opened. We have taken everyone of our cars to them and they have been of all makes. I had a Honda CRX that no one else could figure out the clutch and they did! They have also taken really good care of my 2019 Mini, so they are very diverse. I've been going to S & H Automotive for all my mechanical needs for at least the past four years. Steve and Henry are very professional, courteous and knowledgeable in their trade. There's peace of mind knowing that your car is being taken care of with a trustworthy mechanic that is hard to come by these days. The owners Steve and Henry are awesome people! This place provides great customer service at a great price. I highly recommend bringing your car to S&H automotive, you will not be disappointed. The owner and their employees put their heart into their work and love what they do, and it shows in the quality of service they give. I ve been coming here for more than 3 years and I will continue to have them as my mechanics Keep up the great work guys!

They listened carefully to me and then walked me through all the alternatives for my SUV which needed major repairs. I was able to choose the most urgent repairs and was given a total on my estimate that fit in with my budget. The work was done quickly and I drove away completely satisfied. I highly recommend them to anyone needing auto repairs and servicing.

I found this shop in google it was 4 min away my car was park and was not starting no ignition noise at all. So i called this shop and ask if he was willing to come to me and see if he can get my vehicle started. He actually told me yes. He showed up and found the problem. The problem was that the owne before me had a kill switch and some how it got activated but it only had the receiving piece. So he charged me $95 and removed all that wiring that was conected to my starter. Overall he is a legit guy and honest mechanic has decent price. I recommend it. I actually told him i would write a review but i dont know if he did beleive me. I even gave him a $5 dollar tip its not much but its a soda n chips for sure .

Ask for Steve or Henry. These guys are cool dudes and are very honest. Had my car serviced here a few times with stuff like a basic oil change to fuel pump replacement and they do an excellent job. They can tell you what's wrong just by letting them know what sounds you're hearing or what you're feeling when you drive. Best mechanics in Downey.

Amazing service! These guys know what they are doing and are very polite! 1 year warranty for their services. Never felt confident to leave my car with someone and fix the problem it actually has. But them i do trust. Would recommend to anyone.

It is extremely rare in this day and age to call a mechanic trustworthy, but Steve & Henry are the first and only mechanic shop that I can honestly say earn that title. They are professional, polite and have the best price around. It's not just about having the best price they also have the most knowledgeable and great workmanship. They recently fixed my starter. I leave every time knowing the repairs were done right. I trust no one else to work on my Acura rsx. These guys are the best. If you need work done it would be a mistake not to go to S&H automotive!

The mechanic told me exactly what was wrong gave me a good price and had my car done at the time he said it would be. Also was 100 dollars cheaper than what he originally told me it would be. Definitely will be going back.

I was referred by pep boys so I decided to take my car there. I explained to them exactly what's going on with my car. He just said they have to do a diagnostic for 100 bucks. I was skeptical about it, because I felt that a mechanic should have some knowledge if you give them information on a certain problem. I took it to another shop where they told me immediately what it could be without a diagnostic. Got it fix less than 15 mins. With the high reviews of this place I just wish they would of known of the issue instead of me paying for a diagnostic.

The owner was honest and helpful even tho my car did not get serviced here. I think his name was Steve. He helped me out and gave me great information. Pep boys referred me to this shop for electrical work.

These guys have been here a long time. The place used to be Downey's first fire station. Theyre honest, show you the parts they replaced and work well as a team to fix what they need to fix and give you a time line for what you might need in the future.
