They charged me $150 to diagnose my Pathfinder...but wouldn't credit that cost towards the final repair cost...which I really wasn't happy about as most other shops will usually credit the diagnostic fees towards the final repair bill. However, what garnered my low rating was the fact that they wanted to charge me over $1,300 to replace the ignition wires and spark plugs! I asked if I could supply the parts and have them charge me for just doing the repairs...they said they could do that BUT would have to add additional costs to offset their loss on the profits they would have made on their supplying the parts and labor! I ended-up buying the ignition wires on Amazon for less than $250 and City Automotive supplied the plugs and labor for around $260 bucks for a total of about $510....in other words, I saved around $750! I cannot say how good or bad the folks at DHS Auto Service are (as far as actual mechanical aptitude is concerned), but I can say that with their prices being so high...I'll never have the chance to find out.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I was very pleased with the service I received. My headlight burned out on passenger side and required removing the bumper to replace it. Mike gave me a good price and did a great job with the repair. Yogi the owner went out of his way and dropped me off and picked me up again at my house when my car was ready for pick up. Save your money and go to a shop we re they actually know what they re doing also we re it s cheaper. Firestone in cathedral city worked in my car when this shop couldn t for a much decent price and better customer care. They supposedly found an issue in my car and couldn t proceed so they kept over $100 when they looked at it for no more than 10 minutes. Ridiculous. I would rather much trust the negative reviews here than the positive ones bc other people have told me bad stories about this shop which I didn t believe till i came.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Yogi, Mike and Mark have been a life saver to me. Since they moved here they have worked on my car several times and the repairs were perfect and the prices are very reasonable. Last week they did what I had been told by the dealer was impossible - they were able to diagnose and repair my 2007 VW so that it would pass a smog check. I couldn't be happier. We had a last minute need to get our brakes repaired and they were able to get us in right away. Fixed within a day and let us use a coupon! I brought my vechicle in for brakes and tires. The price I was quoted fell in line with what I had expected for a complted brake replacement front and back and 4 new tires. The $2 spark plug installed wrong here cost me $300 plus in repairs and $100 in parts.Mechanic said he did what the scanner said and led me to beleive it was diagnosed.They broke the air intake on my car too.Dont trust these people

Went in to get an alignment was told couldnt be done because of the rack and pinion installed wrong was charged 120$ for their time wich was 10 mins of inspecting it . Said it would be credited to my bill of 270$ for an alighment tire rotation and balance ... their wayyyy over priced they charge double prices of a normal mechanic shop. Who charges 120 for rotation and balance ? ...dont go here save your money and go somewhere else their trying to charge dealer prices when their forgetting they only have like a year or so with their bussinuss

Went in to Get a Smog check, Mike the technician came out and told me because I had Tape around the air intake boot that he couldn't pass me. I said The tape is not affecting any emissions related. So I said OK, I will take it off. He saw me take it off only Takes about 5 seconds, Then he said no he didn't want to do it. He wasted my time. I know I know they don't like me because they tried to tell me my motor was blown one time and I told them it was a tensioner they didn't believe me. charged me a $120 for a Diagnostics. I paid the fee but I told them I was gonna come back when I Fix the tensioner and then he can give me my money. After I brought the car back 2 days later after I fixed the tensioner he gave me my money back. I only went back to get a Smog check because how hard is a Smog check.

I went in for a flat tire repair, THEY CHARGED ME $50. It would have been cheaper to have just bought another tire. Their repair held for less than 100 miles. My tire is now flat again. So now I have to have AAA come out to put the donut on so I can drive to a REAL repair shop and just buy a new tire. I wasted over an hour and $50 just to get jerked around. Just set your money on fire if you are even thinking about going there. At least it will save you some time.If you live in DHS, keep an air pump and a new can of fix a flat in your trunk. Or call AAA to put the donut on. Use that as a temporary fix to get the heck out of DHS and to a real tire repair place that won't charge you $50 to make it worse. Now that I have already wasted $50 to have the tire ruined, I have to get AAA to come and put the donut on so I can drive to Cathedral City and just buy a new tire. The tire was only 6 months old when I got the nail in it. DHS overcharges because everyone gets nails in their tires driving here and unless you do a temp fix/donut, you can't drive to a REAL tire repair place. They take advantage of this and price gauge AND worse than that, THEY DON'T EVEN FIX IT!! IN LESS THAN 100 MILES IT IS FLAT AGAIN!!Service: Tires

Reliable & trustworthy service. Individuals complaining otherwise are really just people that can t afford service & drive around vehicles that haven t received maintenance in who knows how long. Take your car anywhere else please they wasted so much of my money and time . Owner just wants your money and when my car wasnt fixed they charged me even more 100% recommend anywhere else they were very rude and had horrible customer service

$150 for a diagnostic. No it doesn t go towards your balance. Rick the mobile mechanic charges $80 and it goes towards your balance and he does a good job.

Went here cause my brakes were having issues, they were trying to charge 2000 bucks and didn t add my inspection fee towards the cost, they said all my brakes needed to be replaced and couldn t explain why, total rip off told me I couldn t drive the van home, trying to scare me into getting ripped of , went to Eddie s smog and repair, great customer service, saved 900 bucks going with themService: General repairs & maintenance
