Josh and Hunter really helped me out and came in clutch when they fixed my issue on a Cadillac SRX 2006. Take your vehicle to City Automotive if your in DHS and need some basic work done they are legit. Thanks again 5 star ratings.

City auto is a great place to take your car. It is conveniently located. The shop is nice and cool. Cold drinks are available and a very clean seating area. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The service is quick depending on your service needs. Jeff is a great family kinda guy.

Wow! Came in with a computer code and they told me upfront what it was, what part to buy and how much it would cost to get it replaced. I did go to get the part and they replaced it in less than an hour. Jeff introduced himself and gave me a very prompt and honest service with a very good price. Will definitely come back any time I need car repairs.

The guys at City Automotive are great, they genuinely care and I can always count on them for my automotive needs. They can fix most things and if they can't they'll tell you the truth. Thanks Jeff for years of consistent service.. Highly recommend.

Jeff and all of his mechanics very well trained. Get down to the root of the problem without putting a band-aid. Probably the cheapest labor per hour cost you'll find in the desert. And one more, could you ask for a cheap oil change third of the price of jiffy lube without all the pressured sales for windshield wipers?

I had some transmission problems while I was on vacation at desert hot springs and really had no clue what or where to turn to for help. One of the locals recommended this place and was very happy to find them. Very nice and professional team and they got my car taken care of at a fair price.It would have been very easy for them to jack me on the price as I was from out of town but they treated me like an old friend and the finale price was very fair. No complaints at all and I would recommend this place to anyone.Service: Transmission

If you live in the area and need an honest personal mechanic then go here ... they will let you know and give you the best work and the best price.. hard to find an honest mechanic these day .. just go say HI.. they like that too so

March 30 2023. My day started off bad. I was not feeling well and my bones hurt. It got worse when I wanted to run to the store for something to make me feel better. Went a block away from home when I hear a loud bang and metal grinding from the front of my car. I believed it to be the end of my car forever. Called AAA and tried to find a mechanic who could diagnose and possibly repair it. It's Friday and midday. My chances are slim. I called 4 repair shops who gave me kind rejections. I don't really trust mechanics that much because of my past history with them. Getting ripped off. I had one very good one but i guess age got to him and no more with him. What to do? Then this one opened and i went to it and been a customer of theirs since they opened. Haven't had any problems with them at all.

My mom takes her car here all the time. Jeff is extremely friendly and HONEST which is so hard to find these days. He never tries to up-charge her and does a great job.

Best place to take your vehicle to get work done and excellent prices. Jeff and his staff are very nice. I recommend if you're going to do a oil change to get there as soon as they open.

I was very pleased with CA. I thought I was going to need a new air conditioner oh, and it turned out that it only needed to be serviced. Seems like an honest place to take your car. I paid what was quoted and in the time they said it would be. What more can I ask for thank you City Automotive

Jeff the Owner is both Honest and prices Fair. I've taken diff company vehicles to City Automotive..for repair ...I was used to taking my vehicle into a dealership... He's able to do what dealerships do. Once I had a prob.. with unusual sound coming from under hood it was a lose wire..I wasn't charged for the serv. Jeff could of told me anything had he been dishonest..I will continue to take Co vehicles to City Automotive..Many Mech.. today are corrupt..good ones hard to find! One Happy Woman Customer! Been going to them for years and was very happy with the service. Had a problem after last oil change and had a large leak. Tried calling them for 2 days after and left a message and also called throughout the days and still no response. I won't be going back.

Thought I might need brakes took my truck in he checked everything out and said I still have half the life on them. NO CHARGE!

Excellent customer service, honest repairman. The AC on our pickup went out and they thought the compressor was bad. When they worked to repair it, they discovered a lesser problem that cost much less to fix. A dishonest mechanic might have put in a new compressor. We highly recommend this place!

Great mechanic I've been going to Jeff for like the last 4 years and I tell you I wish I would have found him a lot sooner cuz I sold a lot of cars because I didn't want to take them to mechanics he's totally changed my whole View on the mechanic customer relationship really good dude bring him a carrot cake if you can he loves them thanks Jeff for all your work man really appreciate you and the crew

If you need an oil change they offer a coupon on the back of your stater bros receipt !! Also if anything is wrong with your automobile they are honest and fair and super friendly !!

My RAM 2500 towing a travel trailer broke down near Desert Hot Springs about 3 years ago. The engine was replaced by City Automotive in DHS. They suggested to replace the clutch, too, because of the high labor cost involved. When I got my truck back I could not see any improvement with the new engine. On the contrary, there was a loud noise that had not been there before (exhaust manifolds). I returned the vehicle several times, but nothing was done. In fact the truck performed so poorly that my wife never dared driving it.When I drove up a steep incline later, towing the trailer, the engine came out of the mountings, because the nuts holding the engine in place were not tightened enough. When I had to replace the starter, it was only fastened with one instead of two bolts.After about 6000 miles later the truck broke down again, because the clutch release bearing was defect. I had the damage repaired at Quality Auto Repair in Hemet. They replaced the exhaust manifolds, had to put in a new crankshaft position sensor and a new clutch release bearing, labor cost US$ 940. If all this would have been done when the engine was replaced, it would have saved me all this money for labor, not to mention the inconvenience plus 575 $ for towing. Quality Auto Repair also fixed the 4 WD which had not been working after the engine exchange and told me that several bolts on and around the engine were missing. Now the truck is running just fine and the mileage got a lot better.I think at City Automotive in Desert Hot Spring they did a very poor and sloppy job. Maybe putting in a new engine was too much of a challenge for them.
