Went to get quote on brakes and tune up. The owner "Oui" pronounced (Y), was a breath of fresh air. I only waited twenty minutes for his response and to my delight I was informed I did not need brakes. The quote for tune up was very reasonable and the time estimate was acceptable as well. I had stopped in at a chain auto shop for same estimate and was told I needed brakes. That estimate for tune up with brakes was well over a thousand dollars. I'll gladly take the mom and pop experience over big box anytime.

Amazing service! I brought my car in with a flat when they were about to close and they took my car in anyways so I wouldn t be stranded. They quickly found the nail and patched my tire so I could drive home safely in the rain. Absolutely recommend them!

Had an issue where a stud for the left front lug nut broke off on when I was trying to remove a tire with a nail in it. Mr. Y did a great job of repairing my vehicle and making sure I got it before the end of the day on Saturday. Also compared to other places his quote was very reasonable. Will pay him another visit in the future if I need further work done on my car.Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement, Auto maintenance

As a long-time customer of Palace Auto Service, I am deeply disappointed and dismayed by my recent experience. My loyalty to this service center makes this situation particularly distressing. My visit was supposed to be simple an oil and filter change, along with a quote for replacing wiper motors. After agreeing on the terms, I left my vehicle expecting the usual reliable service.To my surprise, upon picking up my vehicle, not only had the wiper motor not been replaced, but I found that the rear brake pads and rotors were replaced without my knowledge or consent. This unauthorized service was a shocking deviation from our agreement, resulting in unplanned expenses and a breach of trust.This incident is a stark contrast to my previous experiences and showcases a serious lapse in communication and professional ethics. It's disheartening to see such disregard for customer preferences and authorization, especially from a service provider I used to trust. This unethical practice has not only caused immediate inconvenience but has also made me reconsider my future dealings with Palace Auto Service.I urge others to be cautious what once was a dependable service has now shown a side of unreliability and poor customer service.

I had a very good experience at this shop. I had work done on my 2012 Honda Civic before a cross country drive and the mechanic that worked on my vehicle was very friendly and helpful. They did not charge for more work than was needed and were very helpful.

Unfortunately, today we had a bad day with this Mr. Y :(Our car broke down, invited by a friend to this shop . Before we tow our car to here . We called the shop , talked on the phone about the problems and pricing. Boss Y estimated $4,400 for rebuild the transmission, labor.. with warranty 12.000 mile . We re okay. We contacted the tow truck and ready to go , we called him again to get the exact address and he said he gave the wrong price . It s has to be done for $5,200 . Okay, that s fine too . We need the car to be fix asap and don t have much time to search around.2/ Yesterday tow truck was delivered our car there. Today , We went back there to see if he can do a small job on our other car , then see some new scratches on the back of the broken car . We just to let him know that were some new scratches , so he can make more attention on it , not meant to make him to fix or pay for that scratch but he doesn t respect he said he didn t do anything with those scratches, that s not he fault , he feel uncomfortable to fix this broken car for the first time with complaints like this I said I knew my car , I always checked it around every day because I got stolen my both license plate a few years ago. I knew what is new mark on it . . I showed him that I also had a picture I took from yesterday when the tow truck on the way to here . I said I don t meant you did it but it might be hit by some of your workers while they move it. He said nobody has move it since yesterday the tow truck just unloaded on the road and he let it parked on street NOT in the shop .. okay, now we feel disappointed. We ask if you park it on the road and accidentally someone hit our car , and you still said its not your fault that s it , more then enough. We don t need this service anymore without respect and responsibility .After a few searches and calls we found a good place , with the same price but they included TowCar, warranty 24.000 mile double than Palace 12.000 mile . Estimated 5-7 days instead 2 weeks (Palace)Guys , please shop around there are many good choices nearby . Don t be like us ;)

Very honest mechanic. No frills. He writes down in a little notebook what you want done. Dropped off car at 8am. Front brake pads and rotors for $276. Car was ready for pick at 12:15 ish.

They are the best and most honest car repair in the Bay Area. I live in Oakland, and have my car towed across the Bay when a repair is necessary. Honest -- This review is especially for women. They are honest and will not CHEAT you. They will also work with you.They have been my car specialist for 10 years. Would not go anywhere else. These guys are fantastic! I got a quote for almost $4k at shop in the mission. Then I took my CTS for a 2nd opinion at Palace. They quoted me for less than half of what my first place said, its been 3 months now and my car is running smooth. I cannot recommend them enough, especially for luxury cars as well.

Fair and honest. I have been using them for years now. They fix my German cars better than the dealership. They are not just regular parts changer, they are mechanics! The fact that they will also take time to check your car problem and won't even charge you if it doesn't need to be fix. Most place always charge you for the initial inspection.

They do great service. We've been going here to service our vehicles since the day they opened. It would be nice if they could expand because they could service more vehicles.One down side is it is on a busy street and close parking can be hard to come by.

Very friendly and honest. I use to go to another place and they would always over charge me and something else would be wrong when I picked up the car. Someone referred me to this place and have not had problems since taking it to them. Have used them twice since then and have been satisfied each time.

Had a flat tire, went to the Costco tire center and it took them a day to *not* fix it. Then, went to this place, and it took 5 minutes for them to fix it on the spot.

I've been going to Oai's (Palace Auto Repair) for several yrs! Friendly, knowledgeable service can be found at this shop. They're honest & professional. He lets you know what needs repair & doesn't do unnessesary repairs.

Great shop. Came here due to a recommendation from a fellow co-worker/friend and I have enjoyed their service. They know what they're doing and they get to the point/issue. They did get me a street cleaning ticket but they reimbursed me.

Mechanic who goes by the name Y has always been great. Brought multiple flat tires to him and he gets them done within an hour. Great shop with great customer service.

The Little Man who runs the shop is Bias! The work they do and the price they charge is pretty reasonable compared to other places, but it's obvious the owner (who appears to be Filipino) puts far more effort and courteous attention towards other Filipino customers.

Best mechanic ever ! Never rips you off and is very honest ! 2007 Acura TL needed motor mount replacement . Other mechanic quoted $1700. He fixed it with oem parts for $800 with transmission mount . Thanks oai!

Taken my car here countless times, best auto shop you can ask for in the whole Bay Area. Fixed so many of my nails, oil changes, etc.
