Pete is awesome. Most of my kids friends have taken their driving test with him. Not all have been good enough to pass, but he is very professional and personable and encouraging. Thanks, Pete, for making my daughter less nervous while taking her test and correcting her for not using her blinker, yet she still passed! Making an appointment is the way to go!

Bring a book or something to do while you're waiting to be called; even having an appointment may not save you from having to wait for your turn at the window. It does save you from having to wait in an extra line, which can add up to an hour to your time there. That said: the staff are friendly and efficient folks that do their best to get their transactions done in a timely manner.

Went in to renew my ID and make it a REAL ID, this lady helped me and said I ll receive it within a couple of weeks. Been 1 month and a half and it never came in. Went back to wait hrs in line just for them to tell me the process was NOT even finalized even after I submitted the documents and paid for everything .? So anyways I told them to finalize it so i can receive my ID. 3 weeks later, I did receive my card but it was a regular ID although i requested for a REAL ID TWICE. Now I have to go back in for a THIRD time waiting for hrs because im either getting trolled cause these people are just racists and want to waste my time or they just can t do their job right. Now I have to play the waiting game again and pray to god that they actually do their job right this time .?. Either way, horrible experience and if the manager sees this post. Please train ur employees better, thank you.

I was dreading going to DMV with my husband who had to renew his license. He did the online test, and couldnt get an appointment time before his birthday. We were walk ins at about 1:00 today and were out by 1:30. I was amazed. And the interactions with the staff were pleasant. They even thanked him for having everything taken care of and making their job easy.

Ridiculously understaffed, I didn't have a appointment, I don't have a problem waiting in line, hey it's the DMV it's expected right? So the guy gets up from his station & goes to about 3 or 4 other co-workers & then walks into a room & for the next 38 minutes not one person moved in line, nobody replaced him, a lady 2 stations down finally called next in line, probably the worst visit ever, do yourself a favor & make the drive to Reedly or even Mariposa, this place is very poorly managed.

The two gals at the non appointment desk were awesome! The person I talked to obviously knew her business, and was very very thorough with everybody in front of me. She understands the DMV process and is obviously a valuable, DMV employee. Great job!

Good experience...the Clovis DMV office went above and beyond even staying after for a long time to solve my DMV driving issue. I recommend them as a place for good service. Be prepared to wait however because we were there over 3 hrs on a Monday.

Extremely slow service. The lady that issues numbers in the non-appointment line is the rudest most unpleasant person to deal with. She really needs to be in a position away from people. Her customer service skills are trash at best. As for the rest of the place, it's so slow getting anything done. Waiting 3.5 hours just to get an ID card done is unsat. This place needs to do better.

It' s really bad u can not schedule an appointment!!! 21st century! COVID!!! It shame, guys!There is an avarage 1.5 hour waiting line any time.But if u come to the opening it will be twice-three times bigger.I would come 2-3 hours before closing it is best way to catch the smallest line.

The lady who issues numbers is really rude and she s not helpful at all. My greencard recently expired and I m going through the process of getting a citizenship but she just told me I couldn't take my permit even though I googled about it and AB 60 literally exists

Google Live said: Less busy then usuall. 13 people in line when I entered. 63min. In line to 1st window for info. 8 min. In line for 2nd window, then 13 min. in line for 3rd window. 84mins to get a number to be served. There were 2 numbers ahead of me. 1 being served, 1 waiting.. 23 min to 4th window where actual service given. Actual time to renew lic. and attach a mail address(2nd time attaching same address) 12 min. TOTAL TIME 2 HOURS. Could of been done on-line but DMV required 5 days for address correction before it could renew the DL. First address correction was ignored and notice renewal notice mailed to wrong address. 108min in line, 12min. of service.

Went there this morning September 11th 2023, the line was out the door, two lines so I ask the security guard who was chatting with some lady if the line I was in was for non appointments, he responded there s signs really rude, Mind you I m outside and the signs are inside, Then the older lady with glasses at the help desk tells me I have to do an application on line and to come back to the line again when I m done. The letter I have said I COULD NOT DO AN APPLICATION ONLINE to come in so I did. So she sends me away. The person before me she asked the same thing they didn t do their application on line either, she still gave them a #.I get back in line OUTSIDE again and when I m almost at the front again I hear her asking the same questions to different people and they also didn t do the application online BUT STILL GOT A # and didn t have to wait in that long line again like she told me to.Then people with NON APPOINTMENTS are in the appointment line and she still helps them and gives them #s instead of directing them to the line they should be in like the rest of us who has been waiting for over an hour, she let at least 4 NON APPOINTMENT in the appointment line get #s.And when I was up next she then started calling the appointment line only, she called at least 9 people from the appointment line who by the way didn t all have an appointment. The way she would talk to certain people was very disrespectful, I feel like she favored a certain race and age. Other people in line along with myself were in disbelief by the way she was talking to people. If I didn t have to have my license renewed by tomorrow I would have left and went to a different DMV, I will never go there again, The people who work there have a really bad attitude.

Went to pay for registration at the kiosk this was on Fri getting close to 4pm that leaves me with the weekend to fix this. In the meantime I driving with no insurance ?pretty crowded so the machine was fine until I did not receive my change nor my tags some kind of insurance issue I had no knowledge of so I'm still trying to get ahold of someone (insurance agent). Here's a punch in the gut, Insurance company's are no accepting monthly pmts. Tell the world this should not be a suprise.

Even though it was not crowded, it still took a long time for a basic Real ID update. I was in 3 different lines. Not even a small mirror in the line for a quick check before photo is taken. I will say that the people were overall friendly, which helped. It was clean and organized too.

Place has people who hate working their. If you take your driver's test their, be careful, she is a rude person. It doesn't matter if you work for the city or not.

First time I came to this location and their where signs on the windows that the clovis dmv was closed. It was a Thursday day at 1pm or so and parking lot was empty and construction workers where doing their job. I asked and they said it was closed location. The parking lot had spots that were cut open so I had to be carefully while I exited the location. Had to go to another Dmv location.

Great service if you have proper paperwork. Suggestion: Get on website early in the day, wait for a text notification to "come to the entrance", it'll be 5-30 minutes before your reservation shows up on offices' television screens to direct you to one of 20 counters.

This is a really good place to come too??? I had trouble doing renewal on my phone, they gave me a info how to do application on my phone, but I got booted out while there, prior I couldn't Access my Application on line to just go in pay for my renewal wait my turn take a picture, and out the door... But in this life you have a struggle getting things done and at least finally after all that the lady tells me you have to go to the back and fill out application on our computer and sure enough I was able to pay my renewal, do eye test, and take a picture and then out the door I went!!!

I went in September to take my written test. They told me that I had a fraud birth certificate, told me that I was going to receive a letter in 2 weeks for that which took a month and a half. Now they are making me wait 2 more weeks. I m upset because I waited too long already. My birth certificate was never fake and I even paid for it and still hasn t taken it.

I've never had any issues with staff at this location or any location but that could be because I'm extremely patient and I have the understanding that the staff has absolutely nothing to do with California laws and paperwork requirements. They're only there to assist us the best they can and if you're patient and understanding and don't act rude with them they will help you as much as they can. We're all human and deserve to give each other respect. Research ahead of time what you might need and try to make an appointment so things will go smoothly, after all your unpreparedness does not pose an emergency on their half.

Went there this morning to get medical forms, stood outside 45 minutes along with 6 elderly people. It was 89 degrees at 9:30 and you made people in their late 70s stand outside on the walkway with no shade just because they didn't have an appointment, the guy at the door tell a lady she needs to wait in the line. Every store in this state was required to provide shade when they customers standing outside during the summer because of covid but you are somehow exempt from doing that I guess.

Ok.. Call me nuts but this was the most painless DMV experience I've ever had!I was in & out of this DMV inside of an hour!Now... It Was a 12:45 - 1pm arrival making it right about the time that many employees are getting back from their lunch's & before dang near everyone else gets off work
