Patrick is very knowledge and honest, he has a lot of experience!He explained thing about my car that nobody ever took the time to explain before. As a young single female, I'm always hesitant to get quotes and take my car to get serviced.. This guy is very trustworthy!

I have had both my and my daughter's car serviced at Patrick's Auto Repair since I moved to Claremont 8 years ago. He is always fair in his quotes, will be extremely honest about what is actually needed immediately, versus what you might be able to put off for a bit, etc. In this day and age it is still incredibly hard to find an honest mechanic. I recommend him to anyone in the area.

Patrick was honest and very fair. He changed the transmission fluid in my 2022 Camry and charged me less than any other place while doing the work very quickly. I will gladly go back.

Patrick is a very knowledgeable and reasonable mechanic. I strongly recommend this repair shop, he always gets to the root of the problem without having to sell you unnecessary things. Is pricing is more than fair, what is definitely worth your money.

For full reference, this was the only mechanic I went to for about 1.5 years after seeing all the perfect reviews. I assumed all advice was trustworthy because of it and it s only until I went to another mechanic did I realize how much better other mechanics could be, that maybe I was being either scammed or just being told incorrect information.I went to him for- inspections- radiator installation- oil changes- brake checksI had brake issues. Pat said my brake lines were rusted and leaking and that I would need to replace them, and told me the part numbers because he couldn t find them and said to buy them myself. They were easy to find and upon buying them, paying a lot of shipping, I bring them to Pat and he said only then that he didn t have the proper car lift to install them so I had to find another mechanic.Upon going to another mechanic they looked at the car, sent me photos of all the issues and explained thoroughly all the issues with the car, and they said that Pat had either been trying to scam me or just didn t know cars. I needed much more than two brake lines - My fuel lines were also rusted through (a huge safety hazard that Pat never let me know) as well as numerous other issues that made this car incredibly dangerous to drive - and Pat had just told me the car would probably be fine to go drive to LA from Claremont .The new mechanic also let me know that the price Pat charged me to buy a new radiator and install the radiator and refill my coolant was about $225 over what he should have charged.I will say that he did fill my oil for a reasonable price, so he is good for this.This is my experience with this mechanic - and I only wanted to write it because I went to this place because all the reviews were perfect. I don t doubt others have had great experiences but my experience was, as the other mechanic put it, life threatening.

10/5 Stars.If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy and reliable auto shop, you need to go here, they are very knowledgeable, and helped me with more then just the reason I was towed in for. I live in the lake arrowhead area, and will be going to Patrick's shop for any of my car problems in the future.I have never been to a better auto shop in my life. The owner is incredible, his shop was the only one open and willing to help me, in my company vehicle that got a flat tire. Very professional, moral, and all around great.

Patrick is a truly an honest and reliable repairman. I dropped my car off earlier this month and he did a check-up and gave me an assessment. We agreed to have a part replaced. After finding out that the problem required more than just that part, he suggested I go to the Toyota dealership because the speedometer cluster was not something he can just order. He didn't charge me a dime for it. Prior to Patrick's, I dropped my car off at two other locations and each time I didn't have a good feeling because I'd leave the place paying extra money and the problem still remaining. So I ended up going to the dealership and getting it fixed. I wanted to leave this review because it's not easy finding a reliable and honest auto shop. I'll definitely be back here the next time I need to get repair done.

This is my first visit to this mechanic. He has consistently received 5 stars and l can see why. He is competent and offers very reasonable prices. The place is really simple, there is no seating area. But if quality and fair prices are what you are looking for when your car needs repairs l am certain that seating is of no importance. At least it's not for me!

Best mechanic I've ever been to. I've been to him several times, and he is very thorough, fair, and friendly. He's clear about pricing, and I've never once felt I was being overcharged or hustled. In fact, I always feel like I'm not paying enough which has part to do with the fact that my issues were smaller than I assumed, and he's just that fantastic. As long as I'm in Claremont, I will never go to another mechanic.

The best experience I've ever had with a new mechanic. Patrick is honest and fair and that is all you can ask for in a mechanic. I can't say enough good things. I will take my car to him for the rest of my life, since my uncle passed I've been looking for someone to take my car to and I think I've found it. This might sound corny but oh well! My car is running great.

This guy is the best. He's very honest and fair, offers good prices and is a very smart mechanic--he really knows his stuff and has a lot of experience with cars. I've gone to him for a year now and I've never had a single problem with his services. I've also never felt that he was trying to swindle or bs me, which is usually the feeling I get from other mechanics.

Patrick was awesome! Super helpful and explained everything. He fixed our 2004 Nissan s headlight and topped off the oil for a super reasonable rate. Most important, I feel that he is an honest mechanic. He could have easily overcharged us by doing unnecessary work, but he didn t. For example, I thought it was the lightbulb but he tested everything and it wasn t, it was a faulty ground wire. He fixed it but didn t replace the bulb because it was fine - I would have just paid for a new one but didn t have to. I also asked him to please check the oil. He showed me that it needed to be topped off but that it wasn t dirty so didn t need to be changed yet. He could have said I should change it and I would have paid him for that too. Sorry for this long post, but just want to explain how friendly, efficient and honest he is. Will definitely be going back if I need car repaired again and highly recommend him.

Patrick is the best. Like with all professionals you have to distinguish between people that follow a routine to get the job done then their are the gems that can actually diagnose a problem like an art. Patrick is the latter. Not only will he diagnose your problem in front of you but also explain what the difference would be if was working and wasn't. He did this with my wife's car and my own. both have an AC problem but he demonstrated that mine would require a new compressor and my wife had a small leak. Guy sets a great price for his service. The only downside is that he is limited to two cars at a time so early bird gets the worm here. call ahead and see if he has the room. Good honest auto dude. I highly recommend him. will be my go to guy from now on.

One of the saddest days in Altadena was when Patrick left to open shop in Claremont. The good news is I now work there and got my mechanic back. He has repaired all my cars of every year, make and model and also my children's cars through the years. He made them safe and the price was right. Do not hesitate to bring your car to Patrick. He takes care of his customer and his prices are fair.

Can't praise highly enough Patrick's work, he's patient, reasonable, and (as others have said) fair with pricing. He's my go to mechanic, his business is efficient and thorough.

Finished the job efficiently, with quality work.I don't think he could even charge any less than he does and I wouldn't want him too.Checked the box for everything I look for in a mechanic.Note: There is no waiting area, unless you don't mind walking to the nearest coffee shop like me
