This review is a long time coming. I've been bringing my cars to Nitesh at Zip In Auto for many years now.Any adult with a car will tell you having a competent, honest, fairly priced, reliable mechanic is gold. Very much like a having a contractor or hair dresser or plumber with those qualities. If you find a good one you keep them as long as possible. For a long time we had a close family friend who owned an auto shop as our mechanic. It was the best. He never over charged, always gave us his honest opinion even when that opinion cost him money and was a great mechanic. He treated us like family. When he retired I went on a search for a good mechanic.We took our cars to a few different shops in that time. I don't have any horror stories about the other places we wnt to but I also didn't get the warm fuzzy feeling you get from someone who you know has your best interests in mind from any of them.In comes Zip In Auto. Our car broke down on the street and the towing company recommended Zip In. We didn't have a go to mechanic at that time so we said okay. When I found out Zip In was right across the street from the tow yard I admit I was a little suspicious at first. Was this a good mechanic or was it just super convenient for the towing company?Well that warm fuzzy feeling I was looking for was instant from Nitesh. One of the first things he said to me was he always strived treated his customers like they were family. His motto was to treat people fairly and good things will happen. It's not a money grab, that will backfire in the end. That has been my experience with this shop. All the work he has performed on our cars has been great, fairly priced and honestly evaluated. He has told me "don't fix this now" or "this isn't needed" a few times. He reminds me of my old family friend mechanic that did the same for us. I highly recommend you give Nitesh and Zip In Auto a try.He's a pretty busy man but if you ask him the story about how he acquired the shop it's further proof of what a stand up guy he is and what he has tried to create with his business. 5 stars.

FREE SNACKS! Thanks Nitesh for everything! So friendly and professional, and FAST. Plus, the folks there are just awesome. They treat you like family from the moment you walk in.And talk about knowledgeable! They really know their stuff. I've gone in with all sorts of car troubles, and every time, they've diagnosed the issue quickly and explained it to me in plain English. It's so refreshing to feel like you're not being talked down to.But what really sets Zipin Auto apart is their dedication to going above and beyond. They've squeezed me in for last-minute appointments, kept me updated on repairs, and even gave me a ride home once when my car was in the shop longer than expected. That's service you just don't find everywhere.Bottom line: If you want friendly faces, expert advice, and top-quality service, look no further than Zipin Auto. These guys are the real deal.

Best mechanic experience by far! The owner, Ntesh, is such an amazing human being. Very thorough, helpful and quick to get things done. He's been my #1 go to for automation issues for the past year and I will definitely continue going here. 10/10 highly recommend

I ve been bringing my vehicles to Zip in auto for over 20 years. Most trustworthy and honest place. Natesh is unbelievable. Very good guy and great knowledge. Does great work. I drive from Palo Alto, and I always get great service and trustworthy work. Great prices.

For years, have been looking for "no fuss" auto shop that went above and beyond to deliver amazing customer service. I think I finally found one. Had my engine light on on Chevy Volt. They gave me a no-fuss appt. Checked it right away upon arrival. Spent 45 mins diagnosing the issues and replenished empty battery coolant and asked me to return after a couple of days if I see the issue reappear. All this for "No Charge" despite insisting that they charge for the time they spent. Highly recommend a clean and welcoming place with good people working on the floor. Thank you!!

Owner is super nice and the service is very solid! The bottom plate of my car fell off and they checked and fixed it right away without charging me anything. I will definitely come back in the future for further assistance.

Zip In Auto is our favorite auto shop in Campbell/West San Jose. The owner and his staff are excellent, and they genuinely care about you and your vehicle. I have 4 cars, and we wouldn't take our cars anywhere else.

Family owned business. Great customer service, knowledgeable mechanics, trustworthy, and good pricing! They are usually pretty open to walkin, but recommended to schedule appt. Wait time is minimal and a comfortable waiting area is available. Overall, awesome experience.

I have been a customer of Zip In Auto for 3 years now and I have nothing but nice things to say about Mr. Nitesh and his staff. I have 2 cars, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and a 2013 Kia Soul. His expertise on the Crown Victoria really impresses me. He also handles my Kia without issues. He is very honest, never tries to oversell AND always tells it like it is. His shop is very transparent as there are large windows in the waiting room overlooking the shop, so you can watch your car. His Assistant Manager, Jessie, is very competent and honest, like Nitesh. I have used Zip In Auto for everything including battery, suspension, AC, Mirror, tires, alignment, alternator, tensioner, etc. They can handle it all! Honorable Mention, Vindia. She is one of the owners and helps out at the shop from time to time. These guys are the truth. It matters how you re spoken to and handled especially when you are having issues with your vehicle. They are fair and honest. And that is appreciated. The day I came in I was anxious about what I was going find out about my Benz and this guy s wife was there and she helped me initially. It was her who made my experience from the beginning good.I had a shop I regularly go to but it s far. Nitesh is everything you need and want in a mechanic. He is trustworthy, fast, efficient and thorough. I was and am impressed with his services. He also takes the time to explain and show me everything and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that! To date he has done some extensive work on my truck and I have been very happy.

I had some repairs done here. Nitesh, the owner, is the absolute truth. He's trustworthy and I didn't feel like he was trying to get over on me one bit. He won't tell you something is needed when it's not, like some other places. I highly recommend Zip In Auto, and will definitely be back the next time my car needs anything. Nitesh is the best! I called Friday and got my car to his shop the next morning and he took only less than 10 min to spot my check engine light on issue without even charging me a penny! And he also gave me great advices on my AC issue. He is professional and very technical. Will definitely visit if there s anything wrong with my car in the future! Thank you! Excellent service done by ZIP IN AUTO I took my car because my brakes were making noise .the owner Nitish Kumar had his guy open all the wheels and showed me my brakes why it was making noise I really appreciate him showing me taking his time I would highly recommend this business. The brakes were installed excellent price.And all the parts came with a warranty parts and labor other companies they don t tell us that. Really appreciate that. My car is a very old car and had a little noise when I was driving so my friend recommended checking if the exhaust manifolds is leaking or not. So last Saturday 8/20/2022 I stopped by Zip In Auto shop from online search and the owner showed me that the exhaust manifolds screw was very loose. After he fixed the screw and retested, there was no more noisy sound. The owner kindly did not charge me. I'm very appreciative and he is very honest and nice guy. He has more than 20+ years experience. I highly recommend Zip In Auto repair shop.Service: Exhaust

Nitesh and his wife Vindiya have the best custom service. I have been going to there shop for many years. Nitesh is a very honest about every problems in my cars. Excellent service and super friendly staff. I ve opted for AC service. They found a crack on the condenser. I had part coverage insurance so I decided to take the car to a place they can process the ins.ZIP IN auto folks charged me $0, even though they did the diagnosis.Also, my car had some sort of rattling at auto gear change. After the oil change at ZIP IN, surprisingly rattling disappeared! I think they took care of it, though I did not particularly tell them. Thanks zip in auto!!

Quick repair times, Nitesh and the other mechanics know what they're doing! Nitesh was kind enough to even show me the broken parts affecting my Saab 9-7x's rear suspension, and explained in detail why my car had issues in the first place. Prices are fair, transparent, and even discounted when possible. Will be coming back in the future for my car repairs!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Always hard to find a good, reputable mechanic. And my experience here exceeded my expectations.The price that was quoted over the phone was the price that it was in the shop.And the shop truly loved up to its name. I needed to have my starter replaced and it was done in little over an hour.While I don't live close, they've earned repeat business from me.

Netish is a very thoughtful shop owner that doesn try to nickle-dime you. He is upfront and honest when you come in to work within your budget and let you know the priority things that need to be fixed first. He likes to help people however he can but many have taken advantage of him unfortunately. I've remembered his kindness but he has shown to me appreciative that there are still honest mechanics around! He is proactive also in that he noticed a brake light was out as I was leaving from getting other service done and he just popped it in and fixed it for me so I wouldn't get a ticket. He's got very flexible hours and is very easy to work with!

This is one superb auto repair shop.I rec'd a reasonable quote from Nitesh on Yelp, I took my Jaguar to his shop and he replaced a broken sun-visor for me in about 10 min.Nitesh can do it fast and at reasonable prices because he has tools to do repairs on Jaguars.I would highly recommend this place

I've been coming to this shop for about 5 years now. Started with oil changes and eventually graduated to the big ones like tire changes, struts, suspensions, and have even recommended my boss who then did about 1500 worth of repairs here.In every case, I have to say Zip In/Out is the best bang for the buck because it is both cheaper than other auto repair stores AND the repairs are well done.Its a pretty no frills repair shop, no TV, no coffee, no anything, but there's a park nearby so you can drop your car off and go for a nice walk.

Netish responded fast to my inquiry about getting my Hummer H2 looked at regarding my transmission taking a long time to shift. I had it checked out by other shops and before they even ran a diagnosis on the transmission to be certain of the issues, they already determined that a new/rebuild of the transmission was needed and quoted me $1500 to $1800 for the repair. Netish told me to bring it's down and he will run some check and let me know what it will cost me. I dropped my Hummer of at 10pm that night and the next day around 11am he told me what it was and what it will cost to fix, and guess what.... It didn't need a new/rebuild of the transmission!! Imagine that... It cost me a 1/4 of what my other shops told me. Needless to say, Netish did his thang and by 4 pm my Hummer was ready and running/shifting smooth! I highly recommend this shop. He is confident in his work, transparent, and affordable. I will definitely be using his shop time and time again, when my Hummer need service.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic
