Our family has been taking our VWs to William for years (15 maybe? A LONG time!) We are always impressed by his high level of attention to details, the clear communication and his sense of urgency in getting the repaired car back in our hands. We trust William to provide us with trade offs in terms of cost & risks of doing a specific repair or not. Great guy & team! Highly recommend.

The customer service was very professional at the front desk and after speaking directly with William (Manager) on the repair. I was convinced he was an expert working on Mercedes systems after discussing in-depth the initial diagnosis from the code I pulled from the vehicle. The final bill was very close to the estimate and based on the repair that was completed it was a fair price for the work that was performed. I will be taking my Mercedes back there as William has earned that trust based on our conversation and the depth of his knowledge on this vehicle. I highly recommend this organization for quality service and repair.

Bay Area Motor Works (BAMW) has been my "go to" service center for many years. William S. is extremely knowledgeable and clearly committed to providing outstanding technical / mechanical services. I have owned BMW's for many decades and BAMW is, by far, the most competent and reliable service center that I have ever used. BAMW excels at understanding these highly complex performance vehicles. My experiences over the years with BAMW have been consistently excellent and I highly recommend this company.

Hats off to Bay Area Motor Works for staying true to their 26-year mission of providing THE HIGHEST quality automotive care. I've been a customer for a couple of years, but today they went above and beyond to help me out of a jam by completing a repair on my Audi A5 without an appointment. Their pricing is very fair and their team is beyond professional. Thank you William, Denise, and Lenka!

The team at BAMW was extremely professional and thorough in their services. I had my vehicle towed there and back and they handled everything so well and I wasn't even there in person. They sent pictures, followed up and their quality of service and prices are really good!

I have moved to San Diego but still need to post how well William took care of my cars all 4 BMWs so i post again ...No one and I mean NO ONE. ______Period!!!!!!!!!!TOUCHES MY TOY, but William and his group, here In this valley.sorry dealerships.His group is very Knowledgeable of German engineered sports cars.Need I say more, OKThe shop is Immaculate the crew are Efficient, Reliable, focused on Awareness & Cleanness. My Audi A4 was losing coolant, but could not find the leak. Brought it to Bay Area Motorworks and William found a leaking hose and replaced it quickly! Great service as usual!

These guys are awesome and fast. My job was quoted far below that of another shop I typically use. I was able to get done what I asked for and add a bunch of upkeep items to the list with confidence the job would be done correctly. What I didn't expect was the speed of turnaround. William provides great service. He details what is going to be done, what is essential and what can wait and does so in an understandable (for us laymen) way.Update 12/15/22: Once again William and his team have been great. William managed to fit me in with a last minute appointment for a brake job. While he was at it he performed my annual oil service. The work is done quickly efficiently and most importantly in a friendly manner.I have moved out of the immediate area of BAMW but will continue to take my car to them for all servicesUpdate September 2023I recently bought a 2001 German car and took it to William to look over. As usual,, he was thorough and professional. He explained the issues with my car (minor) made recommendations as to what needed to be fixed immediately and what things could be monitored on future visits.It is always a pleasure to deal with William and BAMWServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

No longer live in the area but I do owe this review. I brought in our Audi for a known problem with the suspension that hits at around 60K miles. The estimate was expensive. I did check other providers and they said the same. I tried to push for a short cut but the owner said that he could not stand by the work if we did that and refused. That, actually, was a good sign for me. He was willing to lose my business. We did do the repairs, and the car is still running like a champ. The owner and techs were more knowledgeable than the dealers (not much to say these days). If you have a problem and have had others fail to fix it, I recommend you bring your car to BAMW. They will find the problem, explain it in detail, and give you intelligent alternatives. (I'm an engineer by trade, and these guys know their stuff!)Service: Steering & suspension repair

So glad I was able to find Bay Area Motor Works through the recommendation of a mechanic friend. I was so fed up with service from the BMW dealer and now I feel like a valued customer rather than a sales target for services I don t really need. Honesty and fare pricing is what I was looking for. Found it here plus quality work.

I ve been coming here for several years for repairs and maintenance of a 2007 X3. William is super knowledgeable and explains issues in an easy to understand way. He always gets to the root of the problem and doesn t recommend band-aid fixes that don t fix your issue. He could be called a BMW whisperer! I also appreciated his advice to use higher quality fuel (Chevron) and have noticed less quirky German car behavior. Prices have gone up at pretty much all business' over the last few years. Bay Area Motor Works has always be a bit more expensive than other shops BUT, this is the only repair shop that trust. This shop has never suggested any questionable repairs and I've never had any mysterious failures on my car since come to Bay Area Motor Works. I'm very happy with the work performed and will continue to come here for all of my service.Services: Brake service & repair, Oil change

William has done an outstanding work on my car ( Porsche 996 Tiptronic transmission), he had repaired the leaking tiptronic transmission, and the job was well done; He also took time to inspect in details other things, to make sure the car is safe to drive on the road. BAMW has been my trusted mini cooper mechanic for about 6-7 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car.If you want your car to be fixed right the first time, then take it to BAMW. I have been taking my Audi A4 to BAMW for many years. They always do an excellent job on all service/maintenance/repairs. They are honest and are experts on this kind of car. They always fully explain what is needed and there are no surprises. I made the mistake of taking my car to another repair place once. It seemed like it was cheaper, but after multiple trips to redo the work, etc, it ended up being more expensive and very stressful. Not so with BAMW. Owning a BMW is not cheap. Dealerships charge the highest prices for service once the warranty period is over. William provides better service with complete honesty, excellent communication at a lower price than dealerships. The quality of dealership service is often low, but service with Bay Area Motor Works is ALWAYS exceptional. William loves BMWs and will not sugar coat problems; he wants you to enjoy your car at its best performance level. He knows BMWs inside and out. My check engine light turned on in my fiat and I needed someone fast. I called in the morning, and they were able to help me out that same day. Not only that, but they managed to fix the problem that same day too. From the receptionist to the mechanic, they were super professional and friendly! I'd recommend them to anyone who owns a fiat :) 10/10

I ve been having my car serviced here for at least a couple of years. Excellent work and honest. Totally trust Williams s advice. His office staff are super professional. Texted diagnostics with pix, billing is easy. If you have to go to a mechanic it s pleasure to go there.
