Great charging spot at the resort available to the public, no requirement to be staying at the resort. There are bathrooms at the Sur House restaurant up the stairs and through the parking lot above the charging area. Beautiful views.

Beautiful views, it is just outside of the resort for public access and has a 90 minute general parking rule. There are convenience stores going mostly north up the Pacific Coast Highway, stop at the Big Sur Center before going to charge for the pro move to chill out with an awesome sandwich from the deli while you charge.

The good:a supercharger in a remote location with great views. The bad:no facilities at all.Hotel staff are really rude just driving in its like you are going through airport security asked questions about your intentions and letting you know there is no facility access up front. I missed the charger turn because a cop car was kind of blocking the charger entrance and the guy was super rude.It s a slower show charger. I was getting about 325 miles of range per hour.

Nice charger and view, but the The Sur House won't seat us on a slow Tuesday afternoon without a room number even though there are open tables on the patio. Additionally, the nearby Smokehouse is closed Monday and Tuesday. So nothing to eat here.

Folks, it's ok to get out of you Tesla. It will still be there when you come back (: Never understood people sitting in their car and charging for an hour..It's a 10 minute walk down to a decent BBQ restaurant. It's got bathroomsAbsolutely breathtaking views here, but it ain't a shopping mall if that's what you're into

This was a disappointment. 2 years back we stopped here and were able to visit The Sur House for a quick refreshment and bathroom break. That area is now closed to casual visitors, appointments required!!!It s nice to have a Supercharger along this portion of Hwy 1, even though charging rates are a bit limited, but ..going in the bushes is not fun.

Creepy remote location! Off road in the middle of Ventana Resort. Resort is closed off unless you are a guest. They make it very clear that Tesla owners waiting for a charge are not welcome. No nearby restrooms, restaurants, stores, trash cans, nothing. Not an ideal location unless you re a guest at resort or desperate for a charge.

Secluded and peaceful, quite a spot for a supercharger up in the hills off the coast highway. 72kwh max = slowest supercharger model, and there s not a ton to do nearby if you aren t staying at the fancy hotel. Still, taking a walk up on those scenic cliffsides is an amazing way to pass the time.

No access to restrooms or food. The hotel staff we met when asked about simply getting a cup of coffee were very rude. It is very obvious that Tesla owners are not welcome!

Only 72 kW. Also the Ventana hotel bans non-guests from their premises, from their restaurant The Sur House, and from their bathrooms.Plan to bring a picnic or pick up food from nearby restaurants ahead of time such as the Nepenthe restaurant that is just slightly south of here (see menu in pic). Slightly down the hill from the charging station is both a vista point, as well as a hidden grove containing tables and chairs in the shade (see pictures).

In a small gravel lot next to the Ventana Big Sur resort. Depending on how crowded it is, can be difficult backing into the spot.

Nothing around. No shade on or near the chargers. Also next to hotel employee parking and the employee that we met was very rude.

Ventana people will not let you wander around or use the bathroom.
