I've been going to a variety of auto repair shops that Patti has or is running. Always honest with repairs and advice. You may think you need some part or service and if not needed she will tell you why and not do it to pad the bill. Recently she said I needed tires, which she does not sell, and looked up range of price. So nice to have a woman explain auto repairs. Satisfied customer for about 40 years.

Looking for honest, kind, fair and truly the mechanic of your dreams? Patti's is the only place to go! Beyond her diligent problem-solving, she insisted on making certain that I left her shop with a SAFE car, beyond my original problem without adding expense and time. I left feeling like Patti and her daughter Melissa (Patti-in-training) genuinely cared for my well-being. I had thought that kind of customer care was a thing of the past-sometimes it's great to be wrong!

This was the second time we brought an old 2003 Lexus in for work. Just like the first time everything was fixed at a reasonable price. Really appreciate the high quality of service. Can t recommend Patti s Autocare enough!

My son and daughter-in-law have been going to Patti for years and recommended her services. Patti was really friendly and diagnosed the issue with my car and much more within 10 minutes of my arrival at her shop. She charged a super-reasonable price for the work. Just moved from another place where I had a mechanic for 20 years. I will be going to Patty as my regular mechanic from now on. I'm really happy to have found a reputable competent honest mechanic in the East Bay already.

I had read excellent reviews about Patti's and I'm pleased to say they met and exceeded expectations! Both the mother/daughter pair are pleasant to work with. Patti's expertise in cars is evident. She helps break down what's happening in a way that's understandable even for car novices.Will happily return again with any issues with my car. PS, they work on Hyundais when other mechanics were turning me away! Thank you Patti and Phoebe!

Car wouldn t start and Patti s team quickly assessed possible problem but instead of charging me right away, did due diligence and looked at other options discovering I had an outstanding recall on a part from the car manufacturer. They suggested I try replacing the part under warranty first i agreed and they didn t charge me, sent me on my way. I got the recalled part fixed (unfortunately didn t solve the problem), but their honesty and professionalism made me come back willingly. Car is now fixed, timely and at a fair price and they now have a loyal customer.

First time customer. Had a nail in my tire and Patti's was close and had extremely high reviews. They were incredibly busy when I walked in but they bumped me up to fix my tire and did so in under an hour. No upselling and incredibly reasonably priced. Nice people, quality work and affordable. Will be using them again.

Patti and Phoebe do an amazing job and they know their stuff they do. Their mechanics are also very caring when they deal with your car in common and sensitive issues. Their motto is to get you back on track at reasonable price. The extra mile Patti went on my 10 years old VW has made it to last me another decade or more and it drives like a dream. The photo of valves and intake manifold cleaned up shows it all.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

My experience at Patti s Auto Care totally exceeded my expectations! My son s neglected car needed urgent attention and major work for a safe road trip to Texas. From the initial phone call, Patti s daughter Phoebe inspired my trust with her warmth and efficiency. While the vibe at the shop delights with generous snacks, comfy seating and Patti s furry fan club, boss lady Patti is very serious about delivering excellence to each customer. Patti is a savvy veteran mechanic who is passionate about cars, meticulous with details, and wise with budget-sensitive advice. Her integrity is palpable. I own a 2010 Outback 3.6R Ltd which I have diligently maintained over the years and is still driving and running great. After a 6k unnecessary repair recommendation (2@2nd opinions) from the dealer as well as what turned out to be misdiagnosed alignment issue and my independent post dealer mechanic going out of business along with being past due for a minor service, I searched and searched for a shop that could take care of my 2010 Subaru Outback. Luckily I decided Patti's fit the bill. It was the only shop that repaired multiple makes that actually reported how many and what types/years of Subarus it has serviced (quite a few!). They do indeed know Subarus! I had my first appointment this past week for a minor service and to look into the alignment issue and perform some other non-urgent repair that I had deferred. First, let me say that Patti is a delight! She really knows her stuff, doesn't talk down to you and is exceedingly generous with her time explaining what needs to be done and why. While no expert, I am knowledgeable enough about auto repair in general to be confident about her credibility and integrity. And her pricing is quite fair and more than competitive especially knowing that she pays her mechanics good wages. As it turns out, the alignment problem was identified and addressed so that my quite expensive Michelin All Season tires would stop wearing improperly, my car would finally not pull slightly to the right and I would be driving with the confidence that she took a good look at the car during the minor service she performed so I could hit the road knowing it was unlikely I would have any issues before the next service. Since it was finally snowing in the Sierra, she also winterized the car for me. Note that my hatch struts had failed some time ago (the deferred repair) and she replaced them with new parts and they are working like new! As to the unnecessary repair, she confirmed that it was not only unnecessary but misdiagnosed. I am just back from the High Sierra and the car drove great, alignment was spot on and hatch didn't bang me in the head when I am taking my skis out. I feel like I have found a shop and owner that have my back. Thank you Patti - I will be back. PS: Her shop exterior is an exercise in cool and creative graphic design.

Great service. Good rates in my humble opinion. Very personable and friendly. They give you time to have your questions answered. Good communication after dropping off the car. This will be my new place to service my 2012 MDX.

I had a check engine light come on suddenly and after stressing out a bit I have Pattis Auto a call, they offered to have their scan tool see what the message is about that same day for free. They saw that it was due to a gas cap not being tightened enough. I felt relieved and decided to schedule a transmission flush that I had delayed since they earned my trust. They scheduled me on the following business day and kept me updated on the process. Overall I had a great experience with them and will go with them since I feel they won't charge me for unnecessary fixes and are trustworthy.Service: Transmission

Very pleasant front office people (Patti and her daughter, and various dogs and cats) -- but as important, they are thoroughly honest and don't inflate the work that,'s needed, nor the very reasonable bill at the end. I'm a long-time customer, and now you know why.

Patti has been my mechanic since 1989. My 1987 Honda made it to 318,000 miles under her care and mechanics. She is fair, honest and transparent. Patti's Auto Care is my go-to place. Once I discovered her shop, there was no going back. She and her team are knowledgable, affordable, and trustworthy. I know my 2010 Honda Fit is getting the best care possible, and I walk away from normal maintenance to specialized repairs understanding every charge and what my options are. Patti is a great individual! She is probably one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to car issues. My 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid has had many visits at Patti's and her team knows how to take great care of my car every visit. I've got my oils changed, transmission changed, engine changed, and other maintenance. She has the cutest environment in the office and I love dog therapy she provides. 100% recommend her because her team will do a great job with your car.

I took my car into Patti s to have my oil changed. I had made an appt so my car was taken care of quickly. They were very busy, and I noticed everyone who came in seemed to be a repeat customer. I will be going to Patti s Auto care for all my future car maintenance/trouble! I really like Patti. She knows her stuff. She will tell you what is wrong and what needs to be done. No sugarcoating.
