Mixed feelings.. they had done some work to my car and done a good job for a good price. But the other week my car started cutting out, i was going to take to them again but they told me 9.30 and I waited till gone 10am and left tock it to another garage, they did the inspection and work and it was a wire that this garage did not rote properly when doing my timing belt last year that was causing a short. A simple mistake that void of had a very bad outcome.

A mixed feeling from reading the review before I went. My 1987 W124 e300 having an issue with o2 sensor(nothing major), but I don't want to do it myself. My sensors changed with an original part for a little more money which didn't mind it. The car run much better which I expected but more importantly is I found a shop that I would take my oldie to now. Norik who is a guy of long experiences in Mercedes that talk less, do more. I like the local small 40 years shop and want to see it around for more years!Service: Auto maintenance

Another typical mechanic shop don t bother. The shop was closed upon my arrival to retrieve my vehicle during business hours after they called me, vehicle towed there, I spent money to travel over 20 miles in a ride share to be charged $300.00 for a battery. Over the phone I explained to the owner/manager he began to yell at me that I was playing games and that he would just take the battery back even though he chose to close leaving me outside on the corner in an unfamiliar setting, phone dying, I was scared that something bad could of happened not to mention paying to go back over 20miles, Just to be told come back.Where is the humanity & accountability? What if this happened to your daughter?

Realized when looking him up again I never gave a review. The mechanic here is not only trustworthy, but is a mechanical engineer so he understands how your car actually functions, besides how to repair it. This leads to him having insight on what to do without going through a lot of nonsense first like most mechanics. Saves you time and money.

Best mechanic ever! For me trusting my mechanic is the most important thing. He never does extra or unnecessary work on my car. He always recommends me the best solution for me and my pocket! He is always available for quick stop and answer questions. I don t trust anyone else with my car!

Before I bought the 84 Mercedes 300d I have, I took it to Auto Alpina to test drive and give it a once over. For no charge he drove it around the block and quoted me what it would take to make it road worthy. After I bought it he did all the work for the quoted price and with a quick turnaround. Ive brought the car back a couple times now to get work done and the service is always performed quickly, affordably, and most importantly, with expert care. Not only that, but the owner is incredibly friendly and honest. I'll definitely be taking my 300d to Alpina for as long as I own it.

Thank you so much Auto Alpina! They saved me a huge headache with a pre purchase inspection.. I got a call around 1 hour later telling me the timing chain on the Mercedes C230 I was about to buy had a bad timing chain and repairs would be in the upwards of $5000. Free inspections highly recommended.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repairServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Auto Alpina is run by Norik a very experienced, honest, highly competent proprietor/senior level technician. I have been using Alpina for about 10 years and will not bring my car anywhere else. The one downside is that because of his popularity Norik s appointment schedule does get backed up at times so call in advance if you can and call before you come to pickup your car to confirm a time the job will be completed.

Tldr: this was a mixed bag for me. The owner is sweet and obviously quite knowledgeable but disorganized and a poor communicator. He performed work on my vehicle without first giving me a quote.I brought my Mercedes 190D in at opening and waited five minutes for the owner to arrive, on a Monday. My car had a broken parking brake, potentially old engine mounts, and an urgent coolant leak. The owner said that the parking brake was probably an easy fix, suffering from a common issue with that particular model. He said he'd look at the car and call me with a quote at noon.At 1:30, after not hearing from him, I called and he said he hadn't been able to get to it yet.At 4 I called again, but it went to voicemail. At 4 the next day, after still not hearing from him, I called again. He asked me to call back in ten minutes. I did, at which point he asked me to call back in five minutes. I did, and then he told me that they were almost done with my car. They'd fixed the coolant leak by replacing the auxiliary pump and the parking brake was a simple fix as expected. I asked about the engine mounts, which he'd evidently forgotten about. He said they would do that this afternoon. I asked how much the work was going to cost, and he said maybe 400 for the work that had been done and another 400 or 450 for the mounts. I was not pleased that he had done work without quoting me first, but the cost was less than what I expected so I let it go.Wednesday, i called and he said they had replaced two of three mounts, but needed to order the third. He hoped to finish it tomorrow if the part was easily available. At the end of Thursday, the car was apparently ready for pickup tomorrow. He said the part had been found easily but installation had cost 150.I picked the car up Friday around noon. The tab was 1200, 350 higher than what he'd quoted. He explained that the parking brake fix was easy but required two hours of disassembling to access the part that needed fixing, and went through the other items line by line. This was about the amount if originally expected to spend. My car was in good shape and he gave me a chocolate. I paid him, thanked him, but noted that I didn't appreciate that he'd performed work on the car without first giving me a quote. He was surprised and suggested that I was mistaken, but acted apologetic anyways.Frankly, I was not impressed at all with his organization or communication. He seems like a good, earnest, and knowledgeable mechanic, and I got exactly what I came for at the price I expected, but poor communication like that is a recipe for trouble. This may be the first Google review he has received along these lines (hence my surprise at the experience), but later investigation on Yelp showed that others have had similar experiences with his shop.

I worked for norik at Auto alpina for two years. He is the most honest mechanic I ever worked for. His shop is a mess and it's hard to make an appointment, but he'll do the best work on your car using the best parts. This shop is the only place I recommend to friends. I worked in 4 different shops before auto alpina and they were all crooks. Norik is the most honest man and will fix your car right.

I can't believe how generous and polite Mr. Nourik was. I needed a used car I was thinking of buying inspected, and he charged me almost nothing. If I ever have issues again, I will definitely be coming to him!

Auto Alpina is definitely one of the best auto repair shops in Bay Area. Mr. Noorik, a knowledgeable mechanic with a great personality will take care of your car at very reasonable and affordable price.

Honesty and Integrity rare virtues in the car repair business. They may not have a $2000 coffee machine ; but the fair value and customer satisfaction ratio (100%) is Priceless.

These guys are great. I was from out of town, my tail-lights weren't working and they fixed them for free. It was unexpected however it was really good karma :)

AAA jumped my car backwards and it ran horrible after that. Auto Alpina changed a fuse in the firewall that brought the computer back. It was done on the street and they didn't charge me anything. I didn't get a favorable response from AAA so my friend got me connected with Auto Alpina.
