it was ok, but i waited too long almost the whole day to fix my car 12 volt charger, got 2 busted 12 volt charger but they only fix one,then i left.the lady in the front desk was very nice 4 stars service and also the mechanic guys were also nice.

The folks at the Barstow Car Clinic are kind and thoughtful and their service is very affordable. Here s what my experience was like:My low tire pressure alarm went off on my way back from Vegas to LA. I stopped at a gas station and put more air in my tire. 5 minutes later, the alarm went off again. I knew something was wrong so I navigated to the nearest auto shop which was the Barstow Car Clinic.Turns out, I had a popped tire (pictured) that was far beyond repair, and my car does not have a spare. I could not drive to a tire shop so my only option would have been to wait for emergency services. Luckily, the folks at Barstow Car Clinic were kind enough to call around to find my specific BMW tire, and then send one of their guys to drive over there and get the tire. I paid for the tire at cost with a $25 service charge. The tire was much less than what I would have paid at a chain tire place. This was a total lifesaver and we were back on the road in no more than 1 hour.Thank you so much to the folks at the Barstow Car Clinic!

Such great service, they added a freebie to my car for the wait, but I didn t mind waiting, I hadn t gotten maintenance for my car in a while so I knew I was going to wait.

They tried to convince me that my car had two oil pans that needed to be replaced. Wanted to charge me almost 1k to replace a gasket and drain plug.

Had an emergency on nearby freeway and BCC was quick to diagnose. Staff were great about explaining options. They were friendly with having my dogs wait with me in lobby. For having an emergency and my arrival near their closing time, I thought everyone on staff was great.

We were 2,000 miles from home when we needed service to replace broken stabilizer links, and the local dealer for our brand was unable to properly diagnose or repair the problem. On very short notice Barstow Car Clinic was able to look over the car, give us a price, and begin work. The next day we were back behind the wheel of our well-repaired car. The people at Barstow Car Clinic were professional, and very nice to work with. It is always a pleasure to recommend places like this.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Traveling to California from Nevada. Than, the car belt broke after investigation when we pulled over. Called several shops. They refused to work on a Mercedes. After a phone call with Barstow Car Clinic. Manager tells us to bring the car in and they will look at it. Lucky, they were only a 5 minute drive away. When arriving at the shop. They were busy, plus it was after 3pm. Thank God, they still took the time to diagnose the car. They even told us where we can get food across the street. They gave me a call several minutes later and explained the repair needed. I told them go ahead and repair the problem. Less than a hour. Car was done. We were back on the road. Made it smoothly to our destination and back home. No issues. They also texted me the next day to make sure if the car was good and we appreciate that. Thanks again, to the team of Barstow Car Clinic.

My car broke down in the desert and had to get it towed to Barstow which was the nearest town (I live in LA). Lawrence was extremely communicative, I felt I could trust his team's diagnosis, he really went the extra mile several times to get the job done right and accommodate me since I was not present during the repair process. He even came in on Saturday when they are not usually open so I could pick my car up since my rental was due back that day.Service: Transmission

This review is long overdue. In fact almost a year. This business deserves 100 stars, in my opinion. I was driving from Arizona to San Jose on Saturday. The AC locked and broke my belt. I waited for several hours for Geico road services, and they took me to Midas very late in the day. The guys there did not have a belt for me. So I was stuck in Barstow with my cat. I had a plane to catch on Monday very early to see my mother. On Sunday morning the towing company took me to Car Clinic. I explained the situation, and the owner took care of making my car running again by noon. I drove without stop to San Jose, Got my luggage ready and was at the airport at 5AM on Monday morning. Unfortunately, I could not arrive on time for seeing my mother alive and attended her funeral. I would like to thank from all my heart everyone that works at this company that were really understanding, helpful and really nice during this very stressful time. Excellent service, reasonable prices, very professional. Really recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have to say when i drove to the car clinic, I was in need of help as I was traveling to Vegas. They attended me quickly. With a diagnostic and was able to find a rare part in town to fix my car in a timely manner. They shared information that explained the issue in detail which made me feel at ease. I called and I got a appointment for the same day. They diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. I came back the next morning and they gave me a ride home and they were done in the early afternoon. It's running great Kevin your service writer was very helpful and informative. We were driving from LA to Albuquerque and smelled fuel as we were approaching Barstow. It was Sunday so we worried we wouldn t find anyone to take a look, but this place was open so we gave them a call. They told us to come by and they immediately inspected our car for leaks or other fuel issues. Thankfully there was nothing wrong, just an overfilling issue, but Kevin and Lawrence were so quick and so nice to immediately accommodate us to ease our minds and get back on the road! Great service that can t be beat.

Excellent service and had the brakes fixed in no time. I was a la to work with by phone and they were very professional to work. They had it looked at and fixed in no time. Great overall service, it took them a little longer than the estimated time to rebuild my engine, but now it runs great. I'm pleased with the quality and cost. They are friendly, upbeat, and can fix your issues from oil changes and overhauls to tires and transmissions. Just don't be in a hurry...

Horrible place while my car was on their property it was broken into window smashed in an items stolen! They told me that it was just the battery charged me $285 to install a battery not even a little bit of a discount because my car was broken into and then I get back on the road to travel to LA another 2 1/2 hours and the battery light comes back on!! Not even sure if I should believe them that the alternator is OK and they wouldn t drive 5 miles to come pick me up from the hotel I had to stay in so I had to pay a cab to get to my car absolutely horrible place do not trust them!!

Very happy with experience. Second vehicle we have had serviced at Barstow Car Care and both times very pleased with results. Staff attentive to issues and very courteous and willing to accommodate customers. Price was reasonable and in line with industry standards. I was really in a pickle and Lawrence and his team saved the day. My girlfriend, dog, and I were driving from San Jose CA to Sedona AZ, we planned to take a break halfway between in Barstow. My engine light had been on for a couple hours due to what would be determined as an issue with an engine oxygen sensor, and i was sweating every second. Barstow Car Clinic was miraculously within walking distance from our hotel and the only shop open on Sundays. They let me in without an appointment and listened to our story that we wanted to get on the road as soon as possible because we'd made a reservation. All the staff were extremely friendly. The full repairs would've involved a replacement part that wouldn't arrive for several days. We didn't want to wait that long, so we asked Lawrence what could be done to help our car make the next 7-8 hours to Sedona, where we'd presumably be able to find a mechanic who could take his time. Lawrence and his team were super understanding and accommodating, they diagnosed the bad air sensor and also an issue with transmission fluid which they were able to fix, helped us understand what the issues were and what we could expect from the car, and got us back on the road in just a couple hours. I'm super thankful for Lawrence and his team's patience and expertise. They really helped us out.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Very friendly and quick.Car broke down while I was traveling. Was towed to the shop. Walking distance to motels, eateries, stores, we even took in a movie while we waited.They had the car done in a few hours and we were on the road again.They even followed up with me the next day to see if there were any issues with the repairs/car!!!Inspite of the circumstances, it was a good experience.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Had my car misdiagnosed by another "local" shop. They were claiming transmission issue that they couldn't fix. Found Barstow Car Clinic saying they did transmission work. Mr. Sanchez and Alejondro were able to determine that the issue was not transmission but rather damaged axel/CV. Repairs completed in a few hours at a fraction of the cost of transmission. Excellent staff including receptionist whose name I didn't catch. Highly recommend them as an honest and extremely efficient shop. They now how my business when in Barstow! Thanks for getting us back up and running so quickly!

My a/c converter went out on Friday, of course when it s 100 plus degrees outside and I went up and down Main Street looking for someone who could fix it before I had to go back to work on Tuesday! This shop right here saved me!! They got me in the next working day and had my baby back up in running by Monday!! Absolutely amazing service and very quick!! This will definitely be my new place if I need work done!! I recommend them to everyone now!! 10/10 Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

We were wrapping up a 21st birthday in Vegas and we re heading home. It was warm, over 100 degrees. Our overnight stay was Barstow, a good drop off point for one of the party-goers, and our kids wanted to visit Calico ghost town.On our way into Baker, our second vehicle s(2009 Hyundai Elantra) battery light came on. It was still warm, 95 sh, I immediately suspected the alternator. We had a choice, as it was 19:30(7:30 pm), sun was getting low, with maybe an hour for sunlight, either stay in Baker for the night, or trudge onto Barstow, Barstow it was.15mns out of Barstow, running on barely lit lights, the power steering began to give way, and turned into a struggle . Thankfully, we made it to our hotel, where the car stayed till time to move it. It was still warm, 90 sh.The next morning I ran my non-mechanical diagnostics test and figured I could change out the alternator myself in a close-by auto parts store parking lot, with their permission. I figured it would take me 20mins or so once I got the parts. Being a backyard mechanic at best, 2 hours later I still hadn t removed the disfunct alternator, in order to put in the new one.It was now 11am, and the shade from the gracious auto-parts store was now gone. 90 degrees and rising. My wife suggested the Car Clinic as it was open and able to get the car in. Though I presumed it was going to be more expensive than the gallon of gas and lighter I considered torching my new project with, cooler thoughts prevailed, I was able to get the hobbled vehicle a mile down the road and parked in the lot. After brief introduction, and diagnosis , the Car Clinic welcomed my business and got to it. Two hours later we got the phone call our vehicle was done and ready to go.. What?!I had no sooner cleaned myself up and finished lunch when we got the good news of the vehicle being ready. The timing and service was perfect. The price was cheaper than I thought! Especially for a Sunday!!Overall it was much cheaper than torching a vehicle on private property, having to go to jail for arson, then having to pay for a lawyer to get me out.Overall, the Barstow Car Clinic was a God-send and I thank them very much for their promptness and professionalism!!Sincerely,The Cain sService: General repairs & maintenance

I typically dread taking my car into a shop but when your transmission dies 2 days into a week long road trip you re short on options. I found the owners of this shop at 4:30 on a Friday and they worked on my car until after the sun went down. At the end of the day I knew exactly what was going on with my transmission and Daniel and his wife made sure I knew exactly what my options were to deal with it. I decided to replace the transmission, only because they have an awesome financing option through SNAP. They told me about some of the motels in the area and got my car in at 8am the following morning (on Saturday!). So a broken transmission turned into a night in Barstow rather than a night in Fresno, and our trip continued, I can t thank these guys enough! Awesome mechanics and honest shops are few and far between and I m sad I can t come to their shop every time I need work on my car.

Barstow Car Clinic was a God send. Fuel pump went out 40 miles out side Barstow on way home to San Diego. Barstow Car Clinic diagnosed and repaired in under 24 hours. Was back on the road home the following morning. Staff were professional and honest. They even texted me a day later to confirm we were home safe and repair worked. They really went the extra mile. Barstow car clinic is a great mechanic shop! Very professional and the cheapest in town! They will beat any price other shops have, ive gotten new tires and timing belt/water pump done cheaper then any other shop, they are military friendly also! Great people who work here they know how to treat their customers!

I was referred to Barstow Car Clinic from O'Reilly's automotive. It was a great referral. They were quick to fix my cars issue. They also kept me up to date on the status every day. Very friendly and professional.

Well my car and three other ones got broken into so I'm going to say I did not like the location nor the service because my car was still broken when I picked it up. I would say no stars but I didn't have a choice.
