AJs is my go-to auto repair shop. I've got 3 older cars (Mercedes, Audi and Honda) and anytime I have an issue with a check engine light, smog issue, fluid leaks, etc. Joe and Ernesto are able to quickly diagnose the issue and fix it. Cost is always very reasonable. It's a good feeling to know I've got a great place to go when I have a car problem. Highly recommend AJs.

Really appreciate all their fine work. I arrived at AJ's with a car whose paint was severely eroded everywhere: its condition was such that the car had been reduced to its bare rust underneath, especially so on the roof, due to many years of neglect.The self-work for which one would have to do to restore their car to even a moderately decent condition would have been all too imposing, and I am not at all a professional or even the slightest bit knowledgeable about cars and their maintenance. Such a formidable task of restoration certainly requires a trip to a mechanic or auto-body repair shop, and I am delighted to say that AJ's was exactly that business.I arrived nervous and intimidated about the prospect and cost of such work, but after a consultation, AJ, named after father and son, Avo and Joe, respectively, assured me that they would restore the car to quality condition, just as one would have beheld when buying it the first day. Upon examining current and previous reviews of customers, it revealed that all testified to AJ's quality service.And AJ certainly upheld those testimonies.Although the cost was high to restore the paint in all areas of the car, the end result was absolutely worth it. Now, whenever I walk to my car and see it, I can look upon it with relief and joy for the new life and energy it has, and be with it in public, knowing that eyes will not judge and perceive my character to be of apathy, laziness, and defeat. I am now a new man, ready to sit in and drive my car with redemption and determination to care for it much better than I have had before.Now, about the interior seat covers... that I got to address.

Do not trust any of the bad reviews!Joe and everyone here are the MOST HONEST mechanics I have ever encountered. Everyone is always so kind, gracious, and most importantly, they know their stuff! Joe will go out of his way to make sure you know what s wrong with your car and is super honest about how much everything costs. I ve even seen him fix things for free when it s small. Such amazing people!This is the type of shop you tell everyone about and bring all your friends and family. In fact, they make you feel like you re family here and I would trust nobody else with my car!!You won t regret it!

Joe and Avo are the absolute best! They have been my family s go-to mechanic and auto repair shop for over 15 years. We don t trust anyone else with our cars, and I literally drive all the way from west LA to get my car looked at by Joe. You won t find a more reliable, honest, or trustworthy mechanic in the greater LA area. I recently took my 2011 Toyota Prius to Joe to get the battery replaced and I was prepared to leave my car with him overnight since this process can typically take some time. I dropped my car off at 9:30 AM and Joe called me at 1 PM on the same day to let me know the car was ready. In that same time, he also gave my car a full check up to make sure everything was working properly since I was driving from LA to Seattle less than a week later. Joe has always been straight up with me and my family and takes the time to not only show us what the problem is but also explain why it s happening and what he ll need to do to fix it (in basic terms that we can actually understand). Joe and Avo are the best mechanics with the best prices and best service in town by far!

I was trying to help a friend buy a Hybrid Prius but they were misrepresenting everything about the salvaged car. The car is shown on line as had been totaled but the sales guy lied & said it wasn't. Then he said the plug in Hybrid was in great condition & you don't need the battery. The car runs great without charging the battery. He also said It only takes 15 or 20 min to charge but on line it says it takes 3 hrs. I don't believe the battery was in good condition because the more I asked about how long it takes to charge the Hybrid battery the more he said "the AC is real cold".They also said we had to pay full price to take the car to a mechanic to inspect the car . After I argued & said that was unreasonable he agreed to allow them to leave their car while they took it to be inspected.After so much drama, my friends decided to forget about taking it to the mechanic because they didn't like all the trouble & lies. They didn't pay $12,000 to someone they didn't trust.

I do most of my own work on my vehicles, and don't trust many mechanic shops, but when I do need someone to work on my cars, owner "Avo" and son "Joe" are the ones I trust to do the job right and for a fair price. Avo is a gruff guy with a big heart and a strong accent, but when you get to know him you will love him as I do. Joe is the workhorse of the shop and you can absolutely trust his integrity when he tells you what's wrong with your car. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Avo & Joe are AMAZING! I started taking my sons car to them because I wanted to make sure that the car I got him was safe! Of course my 19 year old sons concern was how the car "looked and how it sounded". Both Avo & Joe listened to what are individual needs and wants were and both gave their expert recommendations. This place is not about making an extra buck they will never charge you for unnecessary things, they are HONEST!! AVO & Joe went the extra mile with us, Joe spent time explaining things to me and even took my son to the side and explained to him what he thought he should do! They treated us like family. Now when my son and I disagree on something new he wants to do to his car he is quick to say "Lets take it to Avo & Joe" because he knows I trust them and because they are the BEST!!Services: Exhaust, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Air conditioning, Oil change

I would only suggest you go here if you don t mind disrespectful customer service and broken cars. No wonder why only 14 of their customers have left google reviews over a span of 8 years I would only expect 14 cars to have actually gotten fixed in that time!After explaining the issue I had with my car, the mechanic just looked at me and said You re wrong, as if I was lying about my experience with my car. I repeated my story, and he said, again, You re wrong. I wasn t lying about my experience with my car, so he immediately lost all my respect and credibility. I took my car to another mechanic, who understood exactly what the problem was. Now, the issue is resolved and it would not have been if I stayed at this mechanic.It s worth noting: I took my car to an auto parts store to identify the problem before going to a mechanic. The associate at the auto parts store identified the same problem that this mechanic denied and the second mechanic identified. Imagine an associate at an auto parts store being more useful in finding a problem with my car than a supposed five-star mechanic

Ajay's always takes care of me! Recently, just saved me a lot of money. On the previous oil change at another shop, the wrong drain plug was inserted into the drain pan. My car was losing oil. There was damage to the threading of the oil pan. Ajay's was able to find a proper drain plug and save me hundreds of dollars for replacing the oil pan. Needless to say I'm very thankful and will not be going back to the other shop. Ajay's is always honest and will not try to raid your bank account by performing unnecessary repairs or drastically inflating the price of the parts. Ajay's saved me again!

Knowlegable, experienced, honest. This adds up to a wonderful experience in any business. Joe is practically a magician when it comes to diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues. Their prices are very fair, and they strive to fix your issue as fast as possible, but balanced with quality of workmanship. Professional all the way!

I was referred to Aj's by AAA Arcadia. I initially contracted the to work on one of our box trucks that had trouble accelerating. I had one garage look at it when we pulled off of the freeway when it started happening. He thought it was an air flow meter problem but couldn't confirm that because the machine that told him what to do wasn't working. We drove the truck back and took it to a garage in our area who replaced the air flow meter and fuel filter and the same thing happened. He said just drive it around and it will get better. Hmm... These f-ing guys nowadays can't figure a darn thing out without the computer telling them what to do, and the computer obviously isn't always right. Took the truck to Aj's and they were able diagnose the problem without even driving the truck or attaching it to the computer. Fuel pump! Rocket science huh! They said it happens all the time on these trucks and it is very common. These guys could have told me it was anything and I would have paid it. Time is money in our business and we needed our truck fixed, not half way fixed. They are honest, knowledgeable, and hard working. Trustworthy beyond belief. If I didn't live or work in the area, I would travle to use their services. Simply the best!!!
