Asian dude up front was hella cool. Smog failed but he told me what I needed and I was able to get the part and get it resmogged/passed the same day. Highly recommend

The technician Tay was so friendly answered all of my questions because I like to ask a lot of things he even offered me water was very kind and helpful. He has great Customer service skills and a sense of humor. Made it a pleasant experience . Thank you

To me this is the best and most reasonable smog shop in the area. The smog tech is knowledgeable and gets you in and out fast.The Smog Tech at this shop needs a "RAISE $$" with the amount of people he deals with and he does it by himself great guy!!!!!

As others have mentioned this place is a scam. They offer Groupons then don t let you use it. Went there to get my car smogged, the tall African American tech(no name tag) says do you have any papers? I stated no and that I just need a smog test done. He said no problem he can do it for $90, I presented my Groupon and all of a sudden the can t do it without proper work. Smog is smog, all you need is a car! I verified this by going to 2 other shops. Got my car smogged and test at another shop without all the hassle. They lie and scam you, so be aware!Service: Smog certification

My review for this place is long overdue... and I am very sorry for it. About 6 months ago I called to set up appointment and found out there were opening in matter of 5 minutes. In about 20 minutes I was on my way with paperwork being sent to DMW. Thank you very much for the quick and professional service. 5 stars no question asked. Would absolutely recommend!

The best smog place in the area! I didn't have an appointment, 2 other cars were there and Abraham was able to multitask with all of us in 100 degree heat. Super fast, great customer service and excellent price! Thank you, Abraham!

Fast, efficient, and courteous. This place has taken care of all my family's cars for about seven years. I think they've had a few change of ownerships, but the staff have always got me in and out with minimal wait. Its a small shop with good people.

Jose is an amazing person which made the service amazing. We have 4 vehicles of which 3 were up for smog this year. He was the tech each time and it was such a pleasant experience. 5 stars indeed

I just left A Star smog on A St in Antioch, CA. and I have to say the service I received was A+++.When I arrived I was greeted right away by a person who was very courteous and polite. I had concerns as to whether my car would pass the smog test but he reassured me about a pre- test to do an initial check on the car. Long story short my car passed.I would like to say the service I received today was top notch! The person helping me provided me with GREAT Customer Service and did it all with a smile. If you live in or around Antioch CA. and need a smog test, A Star Smog on A St in Antioch gets My HIGHEST recommendation.

Excellent. Just had smog check of my car from A star. The guy (Ibrahim) welcomed me on first instance and give me reasonable price. Very quick and great place. Definitely come again in future. Thanks A Star

TO SUM UP THE STORY : PRICEY SMOGSo I already have a regular smog place and I just decided to try this new one just for experience because of all the 5 star going on on the net, now I checked their website and found a smog discount 20$ Off coupon so I thought that this will be a great deal since I am spending 40$ on my old shop smog. So I went down here the guy seems not so friendly at all long hair spanic guy, so I gave him the coupon 20$ off and told me it s a 63$ for the smog (straight face).and I was like NOPE and decided to go back to the regular smog shop that I always go. It s on Railroad near KFC.

Let me start by saying i normally don't fill out reviews because i am generally too busy to take the time, but i felt i had too because i know there are alot of you out there that are like me. First i called around on this sunday morning to find a star certified smog station, and this one was the only one open. I asked if i could make an appointment for today and how long it would take? them man says it would take 15 min and to bring it down. Upon arriving the man was smoging another car in another bay and as i pulled up he didected me to an empty bay next door. He had me fill out some paperwork while i was still in car as he plugged into comp. And popped hood then he said the test is started and went back to other vehicle. 7 or so minutes later he comes back and says to follow him. He told me about a 20 dollar coupon that he will use even though i didnt have and rang me up and that was it. I have never had a smog test done that quick. The man was professional , and efficient and told him he earned my business on all three of my cars from now on.Just thought you would like to know where to go if your in a hurry

Wow, I wish I knew about this place before!!! They provided great customer service and I was in and out pretty fast. I am taking all my cars hey grin now on. The price is also very reasonable.

I TRY to use nothing but Chevron when I have to pull up to the pump because their gasoline burns longer than some of the other places. I know that people think that gas is gas and it doesn't matter where you get it from. However I know that Chevron is really good because I've actually watched my fuel gauge after fueling up at other places and it burns up like a cup of water spilled on a sidewalk during a hot summer day in palm springs. It not just this Chevron that I stand by with such a good rating but CHEVRON IN GENERAL.

An unfriendly employee ran a presmog test on my car and refused to smog it because he felt it would fail. I took it somewhere else and it passed. Poor judgement on their part which makes me feel like they don't know what they're doing. Proceed with caution.

Not only did the tech struggle with my old truck which didn't pass, needed to replace the CAD but he charged me for the smog certificate too. After I had the work done and came back for my FREE retest they couldn't preform it because their dyno was down. I came back 3 days in a row dyno was still broken or they just didn't want to give me my free retest or the something. Not sure about this place anymore. Seems like it's changed a lot under the new ownership. Went to NAPA on sunset BAM passed with no problems.

This place is crooked. The Russian guy that works there is completely incompetent and sounds like he's just throwing out prices when I asked him how much it was going to cost me. I was there before anyone else showed up for smog yet he started helping all the other customers. So I shut the hood and left. Absolutely a joke buisness and crooked.

Service here was great and quick. Staff was very friendly and professional. They were very respectful of my vehicle and provided excellent service. Defiantly recommend to take your car here for smog!!

Very unproffesional, drove up too the front and didnt see the guy sitting behind his desk, didnt sit up or anything. Very angry tone when asking questions. Snatched and slammed my card down when he was done with it. He wasnt wearing a mask and had no social distancing rules in place.Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Fast and friendly service. They need to add the fact that they require you to pay with cash for the certificate. It should be added to the Groupon instructions.
