I've been going to Steve and Bavarian for about 8 years now. Steve is terrific: amazing knowledge of my BMW, fair pricing (way better than dealer), never tries to oversell, fixes things right the first time. I wouldn't dream of taking my BMW anywhere else! Steve has bent over backwards to help me on several occasions when I had health issues and a car problem at the same time. Just recently he quickly responded to a battery issue I had, couldn't have asked for better service from anybody. I've been getting cars repaired for about 55 years now, and my experience with Steve have been far and away superior to what I've encountered at any other repair shop, bar none. He's a great guy, too, and incredibly nice. If you take your German car anywhere else, you're missing out on the best car repair experience you'll ever have. P.S. I think of him as a friend, but we're not related!

If I could give 7 stars I would.. Steve came to my rescue after fielding a call at 630 in the morning when I noticed my sprinter van had sprung an enormous oil leak whilst driving down to the gas startion. Fortunately most the massive leak I was able to wipe up , but the mystery was where all that oil had gushed out from. I am moderately knowledgeable about engines and I figured I had blown a head gasket, oil cooler hose or some other horrendously complex and expensive dysfunction. My van was not drivable and I was unable to determine the source of the leak. I was envisioning a tow truck, major expenses and a car rental to drive back home to Sacramento. Steve had the intelligence and integrity to suggest it might just be a simple easy to fix blown oil filter gasket. . He loaded up 3 gallons of synthetic oil along with a filter and a gasket and drove his motorcycle from home to the gas station where I was stranded and with in minutes had solved the mystery and allowed me to drive home safely and economically This is a quite a testament to his honesty, service orientation and ingenuity and he went out of his way to help a stranger .. I wish I lived closer , so I could regularly return to his business for future service. I trust him and you should too.. Thank you Steve... Well done

Took my Audi to Steve after finding him on Google. Without going into too much detail, he fix one issue and immediately ran into another. The issue was completely unrelated to anything he did, but we didn t know this at the time. He went above and beyond to help me with the issue and was extremely communicative throughout. He called me numerous times updating me and would even text pictures and videos while he was trying to understand the issue.

I went back to this place for a simple follow up on some light bulbs. I noticed they were helping a guy coming back from Burning Man that was from out of town. They were able to fit him in and give him a loaner car and even offered him food and water. Great people

I picked up my 2006 SLk 280 from Steve two days ago and couldn t believe the improvement. It literally feels like a brand new car. Steve provided a thorough estimate and explained what was being done every step of the way. There were no surprises and the job was on time. I could not have been more satisfied.

Steve is really great he only uses OEM parts and he really cares. Most valuable German Car Auto Shop in the western hemisphere. I live in AZ now and I will drive all the way to his shop when our car needs it.

This review is long overdue, but Steve s kindness has not been forgotten.Steve is not only the best when it comes to servicing my BMW, he s just an all around good person. He is honest and forthright in his analysis of any issue I have ever had with my car and I trust him implicitly (can t believe I m saying that about an auto mechanic based upon my previous experiences with others in this field!). He uses genuine BMW parts and really knows his stuff.After a horrible experience ( long story) I had elsewhere, I took my car to him to inspect. As I had expected, I had been really taken advantage of - but worse than I had thought. He explained and showed me everything. Along with other issues, the BMW brakes he had installed just months before had been replaced with cheap Chinese brakes and pads. Before leaving he even said he d better check the lug nuts just to be safe. Sure enough, several were dangerously loose. I learned a tough lesson, but Steve s wise counsel and understanding helped when I needed it most.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

I am very, very pleased with my experience here! In the almost 6 years I've owned my MBZ, I've had the best car service experience at Bavarian Auto House... and it's not even close! Steve is a wonderful person, and I appreciate his transparency in his explanations and what he and his crew do. This is unlike taking my car to the dealer, where they claim something needs to be done (but don't offer much of an explanation or details). Steve explained everything to me succinctly and to the point. I knew what services were being performed and why they were being performed. He only mentions the services that your car needs and will not upsell you. How's that for a breath of fresh air! He even showed me the new parts that were going to replace the old parts (and also the replaced parts afterwards). As some of the other reviews mentioned, don't judge a book by its cover! This place might not look all that great from the outside, but don't let that keep you from making the call. The quality of service is excellent and that's all that matters. Although honest mechanics are a dying breed, a few of them still exist (with Steve definitely being one of them). I highly recommend Steve and Bavarian Auto House. One of the easiest 5 star ratings I have ever given, and I will be back! Oh, and I should add that my car runs really well after the service. Close attention to detail, went above and beyond. Even fixed something completely unrelated to my problem for free. (Stayed half hour past closing to do it) HIGHly recommend this shop both for quality of work and price. (Mercedes cla45 amg)

Don't let the outside appearance scare you. This guy is great! My BMW was acting up and he diagnosed it and fixed it with in an hour. Much cheaper than going to the dealer. I was super impressed and now super happy my baby is running again.

This place is fantastic. Seriously. I came in with some engine misfiring issues on my e36 M3 and only a little bit of time to get to the airport to pick up a buddy of mine. Steve squeezed me in between appointments and got me taken care of in under an hour. I needed a part from him, as well as one other that he didn't have, so he recommended a place for me to pick it up right away. Super cool guy, nice little shop, and helped me figure out the issues.I went in with a misfiring car and SEVERAL possible issues, and left within an hour with a purring M3 that pulled outta there like a bloody F1 car.Great mechanic. Quick work. Fair prices. These guys know their stuff.

I didn't use their service at this time because Steve was very honest with me and said it would make sense to use the dealer in this case. But he gave me a very candid assessment of the diagnosis which the dealer did not. And so he will definitely get the next service call.

I WAS looking for a good mechanic to take my cars to and then I found the Bavarian House. This place took care of me like no other and the work is so much better than the dealer. Steve took my sick Mini Cooper in and, well it runs better than when it was new. And it is so rare to find someone so fair, that actually does what he says and when he states when he will be done he is right on. This is the second time they have worded on my vehicle and have really gone above and beyond what I was expecting. I have worked on cars and built them all my life and I have finally found a place I can take my cars too and refer to friends and family. I do not write reviews good or bad but this place is truly exceptional. Now I'm taking my VW to them.

Brought in my Mercedes C230. My car wouldn't start. Spoke with Steve on the phone. Took my car to Bavarian Auto House. Ended up being the starter. This shop is very knowledgeable about euro cars. On time, honest, and fair priced. I would recommend!

they were the best, i brought in my old e30 and installed a new alternator, intake gasket, and oil and coolant service all in one day. he completed it even though it was super busy, and was very polite and explained the problems in detail. my 88 is back up and running!!

These guys are trustworthy and terribly nice. I had my VW Eurovan on vacation passing through for the day at Disneyland. Steve answered a text on a Sunday during off hours and said to come in Monday morning at 7:30 AM. We checked out the van and found the issue. Our part was in another city an hour away so one of the mechanics drove there that morning to pick it up. The part was replaced by 2:00 and we were ready to be on our way north. Great service and honest pricing.

Car had an "engine service soon" light on in my BMW, took it there based on reviews and lets say they did not disappoint. Were able to diagnose and repair my vehicle within 2 hours of bringing the vehicle in. Honest and fair prices definitely recommend.

Got the job done for a fair price would recommend. Extremely knowledgeable with Mercedes and BMW. Those are the only two kinds of cars I take into them . Ask for Steve
