We were traveling home from burning man when our trailer's leaf spring failed. The men and women of Modoc steel were incredibly helpful and patient. They let us use some of their yard and equipment to work on our trailer springs (which they procured), even lent us some tools and advice while we worked. Very generous people.Jessie, the manager, was excellent, optimistic, and invariably helpful, always willing to go the extra step. Heck, they even did some minor welds for us for free.If you are traveling through Alturas, California, stop by and give them some love.

I have had a hard time spending money at Modoc Steel. They just keep giving me stuff. Free advice, free welding, free use of their tools and shop. I love taking a project to them, they are helpful and I have to talk them into taking money for their work. If it is between Modoc Steel and some other company, I will always go to Modoc Steel. They also have tons of fence, ranch and metal supplies, tools, gloves, welders, electric fence, stock tanks, juniper posts, gates, panels, raw steel, torches, chain link. Go to Modoc Steel, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
