I Auto Plus! They always take really good care of my vehicle and I am so grateful for these guys. It s a family business and they care about the work and their customers. When I locked myself out of my running car by their shop, they helped me get back in without damaging anything or needing to call a locksmith. When they sorted it out they graciously declined my offer to pay them for their trouble. Good group of people.

Usually stick with BMW specialty repair shops but a few friends guided me here for complete brake job and oil change. Very knowledgeable, friendly, quick , competent , reasonably priced and most importantly ,honest. All of these things make this my go to place from now on. X5 with m packages which I don t trust with just anyone. Love these folks.

My husband and I began using Auto Plus 32 years ago and have not considered using another shop. Their work has been great and their customer service even better, almost like family. I now drive from Oakland to maintain the connection.

The first time I was charged 1600 for random things like my e brake won't work and a hose that supposedly was leaking. I never received a call saying that they were going to replace these parts or even touch these parts. The second time was because when I picked it up the light was still on so I dropped it back off. Then they charged me another 1600 for parts and told me I had to drive it so I drove it the light came back on again so I took it back to the shop saying they did not fix the problem they charge me for small parts adding up to $300 again no phone call about the parts or when the car was ready brought the car back again saying for parts just replaced everything they wanted to replace and didn't even give me a call saying when my car was ready. I just have to speak up because I keep all my receipts and even the receipts don't add up to what the guy was saying the last time I went which was the fourth time you told me a price because I called him and when I got there the price went up $200 and then he gave me $100 off the price. Then he gave me another $100 off after I got really upset I got back in my car my window wasn't working properly. And my light is still on. for anybody who read this if you go to the place be sure to ask for a phone call before they replace parts and also a call when your car is ready and make sure you are fully aware of the amount they are asking for the work because I've been there four times and I did not receive any phone calls or any notification about when my car was ready and the price changed. I also was on foot and set at the Taco Bell for a hour eating and watching my car sit on the side of the building waiting for a phone call... Brought my car back because ali asked to give them a chance again.. And they failed..I needed a blower for the heater. Oil leak. And check engine light... All failed... Did not fix the blower motor for heater/ac... Did not fix the leak for oil.. And most important did not fix the check engine light that has been on for the last six visits.... Very poor results... Also said as an Audi shop does not have the correct tools to complete the job. Who runs an Audi shop and doesn't have the correct tools? Very poor results from this shop... No updates.. no estimate... Just a call saying bad news.. Come pick it up... Not cool at all...I also believe the reviews are being faked. Post are fake... Would not recommended this shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walking in, grey SUV Audi to the left backed in. stealing parts for it .. lift in the back with old cream car never moves..I just get a bad vibe when you walk into a shop that has the same cars still sitting there a year later...

Before hitting the road for a long drive, I wanted to double-check if my car's engine oil was all good. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the owner's kindness carefully answering my questions and checking areas I might have missed. I know I'll be coming back here.

We have been taking our vehicles to Auto Plus for over 20 years. Ali and Naeim have always been responsive with excellent car-care and customer service!!! Their honesty and affordable rates have been much appreciated! We currently take both of our VW TDI's for servicing and always leave happy.

I brought my VW Jetta in for a new transmission after looking checking out a couple of other local shops - and am so glad that I picked Auto Plus. The staff is professional, helpful, and the price I thought was very reasonable. Glad to have a friendly local shop that I can trust and will certainly be back again if I have any car issues.

I've been going to Autoplus for years and have had everything from engine rebuilds to oil changes done here. Excellent service as usual for my most recent visit for a broken window regulator. I know my way around cars and so far Ali has never up sold me on unnecessary repairs. He always takes the time to explain the issue and offers to show the broken part. I'm glad this place is so close to BART.. and to Al's burger!

I brought in my Audi A3 to get detailed and I can't say enough good things about this place. They did a really fine job in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and very helpful to any questions or concerns I had. Overall great experience, i'll definitely be back.

Brought my 2001 Audi A4 here for an oil change shortly after buying it used. 2 days pass without an update, I call them and they ask if I want to do brake pads. I say yes, expecting an estimate. No updates or estimates I finally tell them I need my car back and I go in and the bill is $1200 for various things (fluid change, oil filter, etc stuff that would need to happen at some point I suppose) after no updates or estimates. I tell them that isn t ok and that I would have appreciated an estimate and I shouldn t have to ask for one (which is illegal actually). They tell me most of our customers drop their vehicles and trust us to do the work without regard to the cost . Very rude bad first impression, I am not made of money like most customers who I can assume are rich baby boomers living in Albany. They give me a 5 percent discount and I pay without making a situation, but would never bring my car back here. Also they left the old oil change sticker even though they apparently changed it, not a promising sign of thorough work.

I called Autoplus at about 5pm on Thursday, hoping to have a torn CV Boot replaced before the weekend. They said "bring it in tomorrow morning, we'll get it done."They did exactly what I asked them to do, did a great job, in a reasonable amount of time, for a reasonable price. What more can you ask for?

Naim and Ali saved my life as well as others on the road by diagnosing a hard-to-diagnose-and-hard-to-find broken left steering issue, just in time. Naim's expertise and deep understandings of mechanics plus Ali's creative problem solving transformed my 1991 Mazda Miata from a near catastrophic accident waiting to happen to safe driving. No other mechanics (4 mechanics at 2 previous shops) found the issue nor informed me of a need for further diagnostics from experts who could. Naim found a broken bolt resting on top of the steering gear which was supposed to control the steering of the car. Since the 91 Miata parts are hard to access, the two worked together to create a solution safe enough to return the car to driving. If it weren't for Ali and Naim, I literally may not have been able to write this review. They diagnosed a problem, explored the most economical ways to solve the problem, and successfully brought the car up to quality safety standards. They also proactively fixed the loud squeaky door hinge without being asked and without charging me (labor and time would've cost over $150). They have my deepest gratitude and respect and I encourage you to entrust your well-being with Ali and Naim as they have proven themselves to be both technically expert and customer focused with highest safety standards in mind. They're like best-in-class doctors for your car even if you are an ignorant patient. You can trust they are top of their trade and honest businessmen.

Stopped by for a service and they caught a slow leaking water pump before it left me stranded on the road.This is by far the best shop I've dealt with in the Berkeley area. They take their time inspecting for any problems and lay out options. Unlike other shops who just want you in and out without fully explaining what's going on with the car. They also show you the old failing part as well as the new one installed in the car for peace of mind. Not many other shops take the time. Their prices for parts always end up cheaper than other Volkswagen Audi shops I've gotten quotes for in the SF Bay Area. I've been to Auto Plus dozens of times throughout the years and it's always been a pleasant experience.There's also a waiting room with a TV to watch with cable and WIFI, plus a new Pho restaurant across the street if you need to kill some time :) mmmmm

Auto Plus is my go to service center for both of my cars. Every time I've had service done at Auto Plus I was very worried because the problems could have been big, expensive repairs, but in both cases the technician identified a simple problem and fixed it easily. If you want a service center you can trust go to Auto Plus. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Love these guys!

I've been bringing my mercedes to auto plus for years now (despite them specializing in volkswagons and audis), and have consistently received great services at super reasonable prices. I've recommended them to friends of mine who have also been very happy with their service, and not all of them had vws or audis either (one friend who is now a consistent customer also drives a mercedes.) The staff is really friendly and come across as honest and hard working. Definitely recommend auto plus!

I would give 6 stars if possible. I will take all my cars here from now on. Best customer service and best price in town. The employees are very professional and knowledgeable about what they are doing. I will definitely refer them to my friends and family.

Honesty and proficiency of both, Ali and Naeim, are the best reason for me to come to Auto Plus. It's more than three years that I take my cars to them. The new space is much nicer and larger. Highly recommended!

I haven t met a more honest mechanic and found better prices than auto plus! I ve been with them since their last location (down the street) and come here from union city. They re diffenetly worth it.

Went to this place Monday July 13 with my 02 Jetta for a cam tensioner gasket and valve cover gasket. That where it all went downhill from there. They call me saying that they were having trouble with the tensioner and told me it must've Been aftermarket one but my car would be ready on tues July 14. Welltuesday comes and I get a call sayin we got some bad news we got the car back together cranked it an heard a noise cut the engine immediately an he further explained the tensioner failed the one they was having trouble operating and that it bent some valves. Well he tells me there gonna replace the aftermarket tensioner as he calls it with a factory one and fix my valves hell spot labor if I spot parts he said I'm lookin at about 400 in parts well I was ok with that.i asks for all the old parts back and he says okwell this dragged on until Thursday July 16 I was irritated by then cuz he called again and said I owed 800 in parts I was like you told me it was gonna be 400 and he went on with sum story to explain. an I was like I need my car it been a week. So I get my car friday July 17. And I get there an have to ask for my parts an surprise the supposed tensioner that failed/broke wasn't there I asked he said call the guy I'm guessing owner Monday so he can tell you where it is. I pay an leave so now a 900 job is an almost 1900 dollar job. So I call Monday an he gives me the reason my tensioner is missing is caused they used the one that was already on it. He like it had an oversized bolt in it an it came loose so the machine shop fixed it. So basically it was negligence on there part if the loose bolt caused the failer it shouldn't have cost me a dime except for the orignally 900.Then he went on to say I just wanted to tell he was like I could've just gave you any old tensioner and said it was yours. Be warned this place is shady I got 2 different stories And it cost me 900 more that it should, not happy with this pace will not go back.

Took my car to this shop an i had to check an make sure they replaced what they said they would an to show me the new/old parts they never did.. they gave me some cheap parts an some ganeric battery after i specifically told him i wanted the top of the line battery.. very bad experience. 900 bucks down the drain my car felt the same way it did before i took it to him.. waste of time.. if you are a rich idiot who doesnt get a second opinion your in trouble.. go to other audi shops they lie alot an switch up there stories an prices out of no where .. an to those who think this is a good shop your just a wealthy idiot with money to waste this shop is fraud 130 bucks an hour for what all lies maybe they are just honest to a select few but they are money hungry the guy watched my pockets the whole time while talking to me

My 2008 Audi A8 had a problem starting and many shops didn't know how to encounter the issue, auto plus was able to diagnosis the issue within just one day and give me a such a great price on the fix that I would reccomended all my friends and family to use them for all automotive mechanical issues!! Ask for Ali he took care of me from A to Z

My son go to school in Berkeley when his VW was towed Saturday night. I was worried about the repairs and the price because Im in Minnesota, I found Auto Plus to be fair, quick, friendly and provide good service.

I was very skeptical at first, but glad I found this place. Mechanics usually diagnose, try to find other problems, and try overcharge fixing more than the problem itself. On the other hand, auto plus was very professional and targeted only the problem at hand. Auto plus for A++!!!Quality work!!

These guys are accurate, friendly, and a bargain. What could be better. I ve been there twice and have already saved 1000 s compared to the mini dealership. I will keep coming back.
