Stayed at JB Trading this weekend in the bring-your-own-tent section and was so impressed with how well organized, planned and thoughtful things were, even to having little hand-pulled carts you can use to carry things from the parking lot to your tent. It was clear someone had a vision here to help guests have a great experience and the execution of the vision was outstanding.

This review is from the perspective of someone who mainly lives in their van. I visited during the off season, and was the only one there. That being said, the bathrooms were SUPER clean. I don't throw that around lightly. I don't know for certain about "cleanest showers in the Ozarks" or whatever they said, but I could well believe it. Only downside is the showers are quarter fed and it's 25 a minute, which seems pretty steep after already paying to stay. Maybe that's the cost of cleanliness. They also didn't have a bill/coin changer in their office, which seems a mighty big flaw for such a set up. Still I wouldn't complain, given how clean everything was. They don't have van spots, only parking spots for tent camping and RV spots. The tent camping parking spots are not level, so care is required when parking if sleeping in your car. I just found a couple flat rocks and put them under my tires on one side and it worked out mostly level. I will stay here again when coming to the bnr area.Nearby activities: A good half hour drive from a lot of the spots you'll want to go around the buffalo, but still good.Safety: Totally safe, secluded from the main road.Walkability: Not walkable. Def will need a vehicle.

I had never heard of the JB Trading Co. until I happened to spot it driving by, then turned around to check it out and I was glad I did! The first thing I noticed was the large selection of canoes in a building adjacent to the office. After a quick look I went next door and was amazed at the neat and complete selection of camping & survival gear. At first the guy behind the counter, who I think is the owner didn't speak until I greeted him and was not very personable but warmed up to me later in conversation. He answered all my questions about pitching a tent in the primitive camping area and explained the fact that the showers were coin operated @ 25 cents per minute. He also recommended getting change in quarters from him just in case he was closed if II came back later since i wasnt sure of my plans. He was also very nice to aliow me to pay him the next morning in the event he was closed when I returned. I did and had a comfortable night's stay. The bathrooms with the hot private showers (4 quarters were plenty) were amazing and the whole facility is immaculate. I highly recommend it!

We recently camped at JB Trading Co and I was very impressed with the experience! The employees were extremely helpful upon check-in and the location can't be beat; we had easy access to hiking trails and the river. Bonus: they have the nicest campground restrooms/bath house I've ever used! We would definitely stay here again and I'll be recommending them to friends and family that visit the area.

Amazing place for camping!! Bathrooms are warm and extremely clean, coin showers that did not run out of hot water or pressure which is a prereq when you're camping in 30 nights . Staff were so helpful, gave us a tour of the cabins and tents for the future and lots of info on the area. The store has restaurant for eat in or will make you sandwiches to take on your hikes, lots of supplies and essentials as well. Can't wait to come back in the summer for kayaking!!! 10/10

Perfect jumping off place before our Buffalo River backpacking adventure! Great food, great bathhouse. The showers do require 25 cents per minute but the place is spotless and there's a huge table to spread stuff out on. We were almost the only people there the week before Thanksgiving. We camped the first night, my friends in a tent site and me right by them in the adorable "hammock grove". After freezing on the river, we came back early and switched to a platform cabin. No plumbing, but a space heater, window AC, mini fridge, double bed and futon. I think there was a microwave too, but frankly I didn't really pay attention. We had a nice porch and hammock posts we were too cold to use! The store had almost anything you might need, it's like a mini REI, grocery and hardware store all rolled into one. Jeff, the owner, is very helpful and every single staff member was cheerful, efficient and friendly. Can you tell I really liked the place? :)

Stayed here 2 nights when we hiked the local falls. Nice camping and great location. Store doesn't sell beer as it's a dry county.

We stopped in at the Trading Post after coming off the Trail. I was really surprised by the excellent quality of outdoor gear for sale here. Was worth the stop and will be back on future adventures.Nearby activities: Hemmed-In Hollow is near by. COMPTON and Centerpoint trail heads are near by as well.

Great campground with a nice view! This place also has a store there to buy whatever you need for your weekend adventure, clean bathrooms, coin operated showers, outdoor sink to clean dishes.Only issue I have with this place was not being able to park in front of your actual camp site, and the fire pit design is a bit odd... Square 2x2 or so put that has fairly high walls doesn't allow for enough air to really get the fire started and going.

An oasis in the Arkansas wilderness! Super CLEAN and nice restrooms/showers, beautifully kept campground area. This campground was in the perfect location to go out and explore, then return to relax after a long day. The store has everything you would need to camp/hike, along with helpful trail maps and guides. The sandwiches from the kitchen are homemade and delicious! The staff at JB Trading go above and beyond. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, kindness and hard work. They were very knowledgeable with surrounding trials, and worked hard keeping the campground top notch. We cannot wait to camp again and would highly recommend.

Decided to stop here as it was on our way to hike to get some coffee. This store has a lot of variety for being an average size convenience store just in case you need or forgot something. From what I saw they have camping, climbing, kayaking store branded shirts and stuff, tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical and I'm sure I'm missing stuff. I think there is also a campground too, there was also a building off to the side that had about 20 to 30 (guessing) kayaks in it, I'm assuming for rental or purchase. We got our coffee and noticed they also cooked food so we just grabbed a couple of sausage biscuits from the little hot box but others in the store had ordered fresh cooked food.

Had a really great stay! This might have been the nicest bathhouse/restroom I ve seen at a campground. Really well kept campground and close to some trailheads and the river.

Such a great experience! This was my first time camping and I couldn t have picked a better place. Restrooms were clean and had hot showers. Each campsite has its own picnic table and fire pit and you get wifi. The convenience store has everything you need last minute as well as ready to eat meals. You are also close to some great hiking trails and other convenience stores. Definitely recommend!

Hands down one of the nicest, if not the nicest, campgrounds and facilities I've ever been to. Pricing was fair and had the ability to reserve specific sites. The bathroom and showers are nicer than some hotel facilities I've used. Very, very nice place. The restaurant/outdoor gear shop is awesome. Virtually anything you need for your outdoor adventures. Biscuits and gravy were . Will absolutely be visiting again!

Although the lady inside wasn't the friendliest (I to have been accused of that at the restaurant I .the gm at) as for the store it was amazing. So many things I wanted to buy. Good quality items and I got a free sticker I immediately put on my truck. Thabks and I will be back to buy some of the cool stuff you had.

Fabulous facility. Owners were very friendly and easy to work with, the campground had a very clean and inviting feel. I could rave on and on about the bathrooms - easily the best of any campground I have been too. The hammock area was also very nice for relaxing and chatting with friends. The parks and trails nearby are some of the best in the region. Perfect for lovers of the Buffalo River.

Great place to camp! We stayed in platform tent 6 for two nights and it was great for the inexperienced campers that we are. The store was great and the people were so helpful and friendly. The bathroom and showers are very clean. My one gripe is that our tent was close to the road so we heard traffic but it wasn't annoying enough for me to not give this place five stars. Highly recommend staying here and if we ever come back to Arkansas we will stay here again.

We stayed in their basic tent camping. The campground was very clean, friendly staff, had nice bathrooms and showers. The camping area also had a nice disc golf course. The store had great food and quality gear. We will definitely be returning customers.

Very clean and well run campground. Shower facilities are hotel quality. A very well equipped general store with a great little restaurant/grill for quick limited breakfast, lunch or evening burger. Highly recommend as a good base camp for area hiking and floating. Owners are very helpful and attentive keeping the area first class.
