Very faulty service - would not trust this place for even routine maintenance.I came in for just an oil change, the plug was not tightened afterward which caused all of the oil to spill out of my car. I contacted sun devil auto and they refunded my oil change and offered to clean the bottom of the vehicle that was covered in oil. While I appreciate this, they made no mention of reimbursing me for the oil bought out of pocket to make my car drivable again. After several hours of fixing the oil issue myself, cleaning my parking spot, and going to the auto shop to buy more oil, I can t recommend this place to anybody. This carelessness could have seriously damaged the car. Take your car to a more experienced place!see photos for proof :

A serious oversight from their mechanic jeopardize my safety and the safety of other drivers. I'm lucky that nothing happened and noticed it sooner rather than later - They forgot to put my spindle nut back on my right tire. Which keeps your wheel bearings safe and secure on your car. From the numerous people I talked to about this, they said I'm lucky nothing SERIOUS happened to me. My tire could've came off at any given moment. Sun Devil Auto calmed to reach out to me about it but have no missed calls or a voicemail after I went in for a standard oil change & tire rotation.It's sad to write this but the severity of the situation has compelled me to. I've been a customer for over 12 years, my family had been going there for longer. I no longer feel safe trusting this team due to such a serious oversight.

Great experience. Had a blow out on the highway. My car was towed there and they got me in fast. My wheel lock was missing but they were able to get the tire off and me back on the road.

After taking our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the dealer all these years to have minor issues repaired, we had an issue with the horn. It wouldn't honk! I took it to the dealer and was told they couldn't get the parts. Based on the past review on Google, we decided to take our to Sun Devil Auto. They analyzed the problem, found the parts, and the issue with the horn was resolved. The technicians were professional and personable. They clearly explained the issue and the resolution. The service was efficient and the cost was honest and fair,

Amazing service 2 cars serviced today at Tatum and Bell location Ben was very helpful my Mustang is running and shifting perfectly now trans, diff, oil everything awesome job manager, service advisor and techs thank you it s ready for summer now! Both vehicles excellent service. Above and beyond!

This is where I always took my car & have referred multiple people. Will no longer be a customer & will let everyone know the awful experience I had this morning.Jonathan was extremely disrespectful & rude this morning when I was asking questions about pricing & previous work done on my car. Proceeded to say to me - 'you keep adding on questions.' Well yes Jonathan it is your job to answer questions about my vehicle your place of work has worked on & is about to work on since you're the one working the front desk at this current time correct?Second time in less than a year my car is shaking when it breaks. Was replaced 5 or less months ago with an oil change done at this location. Carlos told me it was under warranty & did not charge me for said repairs. Carlos made no note of the break change Jonathan says. Seems like that would be an internal error made by your team & im unsure why me asking about said repairs caused Jonathan such a fuss this morning. Two weeks ago when I got my oil changed & asked them to look at the breaks Ben calls me & says you need new tires. I said I just got new tires at discount because my tires were never rotated on my last oil change AT THIS LOCATION! - which shredded them so thanks for that extra cost as well due to your shops negligence. So how could I need new tires?Ben's tone changed quickly & said it's the rotors you should just get the life of your rotors out even tho he knew the car was shaking when it breaks. l asked do I need to do the tires as well? He says no you should go back to discount you have nice tires get more of these when you need them. Great. Confusing. Drove car for two weeks shaking became intense when breaking. Called Saturday to book appt. Ben says it will be $375 WITH LABOR! I asked this morning will this be this price & am I able to apply this coupon & sent Jonathan into a tizzy with my questions about this. It's literally your job to answer my questions! Don't work the front desk if you're so bothered helping clients! Cancelled my appointment on the spot & walked out after the way Jonathan spoke to me for asking questions about MY VEHICLE. Never coming back to this location! Awful!

Sun Devil Auto at this location is amazing. From Jonathan and Ben and the mechanics they take such good care of your car. They're honest they're reasonable they'll work with you I can't say enough about this Sun Devil Auto over on Tatum and Bell Road in Scottsdale. Never before have I experienced such incompetence. So disappointed in them. I've used them for 3+ years for all my auto issues. Clearly, there is a decline in management.I overpaid and was under served with service.I had to leave my van a third day fpr whatbturnes out to be a hose they disconnected. During the vans stay, for an additional day, the sole purpose for the service went ignored completely. Nm the fact thatvthere was never a call to tell me the van was ready. I had to call everytime to know the van was, and I dare to use the term "done".This horrible experience was capped with finding out my air conditioner now doesn't work. I have to assume that the belt they fixed was installed in error. So now I will lose a 4th day of work.Thanks Sun Devil

Edit: 1 week after it cost me almost $500 dollars to fix my check engine light blinking, it started back doing the same thing previously. I had to get it towed to the dealership who told me it was very clear there was rat damage, which had disrupted a sensor and it should've been very obvious to the mechanic working on my car here at Sun Devil and that they should've never touched it. Instead the mechanic here told me they couldn't find a reason and that it was likely "bad fuel" and recommended a 4 step engine flush and reset the sensor. Now I'm out almost $500 dollars. I honestly would like a refundFast, quick, and great service! Reasonably priced as far as service and labor goesServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

I had the best experience at sun devil in scottsdale. Mark and the technicians took care of my car and went over and beyond to make sure I was safe driving away safely and without spending an arm and a leg. Definitely recommend this place for honest auto mechanics.

Charged me $100 to tell me there was a problem I was already aware of. Had no pictures to verify any of their findings after checking trans dipstick. Quoted me $500 to dive into it . Although any time i take vehicle in for normal maintenance they have no problem sending me multiple pictures of bad wiper blades or anything else they see that may need replacing. Conveniently an apprentice checked on my vehicle. Im in a repair trade and would never have an apprentice make final judgement on anything, especially a $3k-$6k repair. What a joke. Been coming here for years but not any longer.

They told me I needed a new engine when all I needed was an oil change and then they quoted me $7000 because they thought my engine was shot. They misdiagnosed me but still charged me for something that I don t even believe they did and just hooked it up to a machine ,Do not go here totally unprofessional.

Went in for a basic oil change and in the process somehow my switch for the passenger window was broken. Was a bit frustrating but Jonathan the manager was very professional and handled the situation very well. He had an OEM replacement part delivered the next day and had it installed in about 10 minutes.

The team at Sun Devil Auto was extremely helpful and honest when I took my car in today. I needed a last minute check for a quick road trip and also to diagnose a possible issue. My hybrid car had some random things going on that seemed slightly concerning to me. They got me in with less than a days notice. The mechanics took their time checking everything out and trying to duplicate the issue. They were able to determined it was normal sounds for a hybrid car in this hot summer. They explained everything to me and I was surprised they didn t even charge me for an inspection. They easily could have said your insert any car part name here is bad and needs replaced and it s going to cost $1000. They didn t do that at all. I will definitely be using this friendly & reliable location for all my car repair needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection

I have yet to find a good oil change place, this place is alright. When I brought my car here today they were supposed to do a steam clean, oil change, tire rotation and top off all of my fluids. I specifically asked about topping my coolant off as I needed some and the front desk told me all of that is included in the oil change however, upon getting home I wanted to make sure they actually did top off all of my fluids and they did not. They also did not rotate my tires. I understand you guys do it when you have "time" however I specifically asked and the front desk reassured me that it was included. Another thing that I didn't like was, a full car inspection was supposed to be included and when I picked up my car the front desk didn't mention anything about my car just had us pay and leave. I figured the stuff would be written on the paper that they gave me however nothing was even written about how my car is doing. Just like the other comments it seems like you guys don't actually take your time and your LAZY. I gave it a 3 star because they at least did my oil change and did the steam cleaning.Service: Oil change

The front desk guy Ben makes this place unbearable. Passive aggressive and doesn t care about customer satisfaction. He also gave me a hilariously ridiculous quote for replacing control arms on my car. The eight hours of labor was already crazy but then wanted to charge me $340 per arm x4 when they are only $60 low end aftermarket parts. That s a 450% price mark up. HA!!

Called late on a Wednesday, they told me to come in Thursday morning for a brake job and rotors.drop the truck off at 8:00 and picked it up complete before lunch.Exactly what I needed. Next day service. Minimal down time.Thanks guys.

I have come to this location for everything involving my F150. I have never had an issue after maintenance or any other work performed. From just basic oil changes and brake jobs to major work like fuel pump replacement and exhaust work. Carlos is very professional. The mechanics do an awesome job. Would highly recommend.J. I chose Sun Devil Auto for an oil change after being quoted $120 at their competitor. I was in and out withing 45 minutes and had my tires rotated for free. Best part was, I had a coupon and ended up paying HALF of what the other guys were going to charge me.Services: Tire rotations, Oil changeServices: Tire rotations, Oil change

I took my car there because the start didn't work well and they checked a bad connection that the air conditioning filter had. The one who attended me began to argue with me that it was the freon and I told him that it was not... That it was something badly connected. They ended up charging me almost double the price it costs elsewhere to replace the starter and the worst of all was that they took all the Freon out of my car, to want to charge me $760 more for it. Terrible service and usurers in the price. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

This was my first time using Sun Devil and I was impressed. I made my appt on the phone with Ben for an oil change and inspection and was assisted by Carlos on my service day. The office was clean and the patrons that came in for service were obvious repeat customers as they greeted Carlos and Ben by name. Both men were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to talk. After, my inspection Carlos explained what my car needed and took care of it.
