I took my car here because I went to another mechanic and they mentioned I might be having transmission issues. Jeff was awesome I m not sure if he s the manager or just an employee but he really took good care of me unfortunately the problem that the other mechanic and I saw didn t happen with them which I should clarify is on no fault of theirs the car didn t want to act up for some reason but they took good care of it and tested every little thing in the transmission to make sure it was running good. These guys are great and if I experince my issue again I ll take it to these guys again without question. Me and Jeff even had a good conversation while picking up my car and he offered other suggestions that may help fix the problem if it ever comes up again which I appreciated a lot. Great shop and like I said took the time to make sure everything was good and clear and made sure that I had no issues they also were very communicative and made sure I was constantly in the loop which I really appreciated. These guys are great!

Glad I went with Aamco to replace the transmission in my pickup. Jeff was upfront and honest about the lead time on parts, and priced out everything very clearly before getting the go ahead to begin the job. The truck runs great and it was patched up in about a week. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Jeff and his team are such an incredible breath of fresh air when it comes to handling car stuff. I have never had an experience with an auto shop, or mechanic like this one, in my life. Not only do they stand behind the work they do, but they care about their customers. Not just making money!!! Words mean nothing without the action to back up those words, and Jeff and his guys have put all of their words into action, been completely honest and up front from second 1, and I could not be more appreciative. Dealing with costly auto repairs can be very traumatic and 99% of the time, frustrating. If you want a positive experience without worry of being taken advantage of, and KNOW your car will be taken care of, then make sure you take your vehicles to Jeff and his team at AAMCO on Scottsdale Rd just south of Thomas. You won't regret it!!

Payed 4000 and am still paying it off after got screwed over they never updated me on my car and called me when it was done and had to last minute get a payment plan that they rushed me into wich was 100% if not payed off in the first three months so I already gave them 2k and they want 4k more out of me after I asked them to check everything in my car from my timing belt to anything to do with my Trans because I bought this car on high mileage and didn't want to replace an engine. They told me everything looked good and nothing else was wrong a month after getting my car back my timing belt skipped and valve slapped in my engine. Which means I am out over 6k and now need to get a new engine because they lied and never checked the belt. Because when taken to a mechanic they said if a mechanic actually looked at the belt they would have seen the teeth of the belt falling apart and it would have been avoidable. I DO NOT recommend going here they will scam you out of money wont keep you updated or keep there promises and will rush you into things saying if you don't i can't give you the car.

To say this shop did amazing would be an understatement! Jonathan was so friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions so that I understood what was going on. He called me to give me updates on my car daily and was very helpful and diligent in getting my AC fixed quickly (which i appreciate especially in the Arizona heat!) I got my car back and my AC is working perfectly! Very pleased with my experience. Thank you Jonathan!!

I had a great experience here, and I think it was all because the manager actually cared about what was happening. Jonathan was very communicative while we fixed the list of things wrong with my company vehicle.There were some bumps in the road as there generally are, but everything was handled the best possible way. Jonathan as always honest, and I knew what was happening with my vehicle at all times. Jonathan was a great pleasure to work and speak with. He communicates every step and process very clearly so that you understand all of the work needing to be done on your vehicle, and why. I had an issue where my vehicle was not accelerating as fast as it normally does. Jonathan and his team were able to troubleshoot the problem, contact my warranty-company, and get a claim filed. Once the claim was filed my vehicle was worked-on and ready the next day. I would also receive numerous calls from Jonathan giving me status updates about the warranty-claim process. If you ever need work done and are unsure where to go, this is the place. Jonathan will listen to your problems and make sure you're back on the road as quickly as possible. Feeling like the person's/company is passionately working to help you solve your problems, instead of feeling like you are just another customer is something that is hard to find these days... and Jonathan and his team totally illustrate that passion.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

I was traveling from Denver and needed a diagnostic and transmission fluid top off. Jonathan was extremely backed up, but he knew my predicament and worked me in early one morning. Very professional and super fast service, my daughter's Fiat 500 had her clutch worn out and they fixed it. Terry kept in touch with me at all times, which is very important to me, communication! Terry also works with me to handle the unexpected expense, I definitely recommend AAMCO for any car transmission services

WOWWW! First of all the customer service from Jonathan was hands down the BEST auto service ever. He treats ALL of their customers with respect and genuine care. His ability to create personable relationships with customers is amazing. Secondly, the team does such a good job at make you feel like a priority. Even with one man out, they had my car in and out in less than 2 weeks. When I got my car, the alignment was off, and they took it in for an alignment the morning after. They take SUCH GOOD CARE. Jonathan was amazing. After a bad experience at the dealership that left my fianc� stranded on the side of the road, he was with us every step of the way. This was the easiest, most professional, and courteous service I have ever received. They were detailed in their explanation, thorough in their analysis and we had our vehicle back faster than we could have asked for. This place is great! They are really professional and communicate with their customers often to give updates and to get authorizations if any work needs to be performed. They're really honest and I have never felt misled by them. I dropped my car off right before they closed on Saturday and heard from them by 8:30 on Monday (they're closed on Sunday.) This place is definitely someplace that I know I can take my car and I will be treated fairly. (They're also less expensive than the dealerships, which is really great.)

Jonathan is an absolute baller. Could talk to that guy for hours. Mechanics get a bad rap for taking advantage of people, but these guys seem to have the ethics of doing what s right for people down. I really appreciate what they do - and I ll be back.

UPDATE:Regrettably I must admit that I am no longer impressed by this shop. My car was ready this afternoon and after having a few work meetings run into eachother I couldn't leave to pick it up until 5. I figured no biggie, they are open until 5:30, I've been here numerous times. While I'm on my way to the shop i get a text from the NEW manager (whom I met yesterday morning when dropping it off) saying he was closing up for the night... At 5:10!!! I was really shocked that they were even closing early to begin with but i was very off put by the fact that he couldn't wait until their ACTUAL closing time since I was already on my way. I'm very sad that Michael is no longer with the shop, he was always looking out for customers and went that extra mile.I can't say enough good things about Michael and his team. I've taken my car into them twice now and both times they have been so kind, caring and efficient in getting my repairs done. I was also surprised at the discounts I received for being a loyal customer! I also love that AAMCO provides financing options so that I don't have to stress about a big repair.

I m really not one to write bad reviews even if it was a bad experience, but I cannot believe the amount of trouble I have had with this AAMCO. First off I went in and had my transmission rebuilt approx $4000.00. I than had them fix my A/C compressor $1000.00. I received a 12month 18000 mile warranty on the transmission. About 17500 miles on the rebuilt transmission it completely goes out. This happens while I m driving my family on vacation in Dallas TX. The AAMCO in TX where I took it to cover the warranty told me he was waiting on approval to do the work. That took 1 week. The second week stuck in TX was the AAMCO IN Scottsdale looking for a new rebuild somewhere in the country that was cheap enough for them to buy. The AAMCO in Dallas found several in the Dallas Area but apparently the owner of this AAMCO was too cheap to cover. They finally found one after 2 weeks and told me it would be another week to get it to Dallas. Or I could buy a transmission myself from the dealership down the road and that transmission would have 3year 100000 mile warranty. Cost to me $2800. So I bought the new transmission and had them install it. Oh and on a side note, the first air compressor they replaced broke within months they repaired at no cost and just today 2 months after they replace again it stops working. I really wanted to like this place, but I m going to have warn people off. This AAMCO either doesn t know what they are doing professionally or don t care. The owner doesn t stick to his warranty and has no sense of customer service. STAY AWAYServices: Transmission, Electrical, Air conditioning

I don't even know where to begin. I had posted a review earlier which was not very flattering before they finished fixing my car and the manager called me and asked me to pull it down or my car would be moved to the end of the line as far as being worked on is concerned. Who does that? I had complained about someone going through my car and trashing it. Manager denied it but the pictures said otherwise. They dropped my nieces prom pics, professionally taken, on the ground, walked over then and were left outside and rained on. They trashed my car! Here is the kicker, I go pick my car, center console everything gone. Had $17 in cash and it was missing. My fiance's Ray Ban glasses missing as well. And, they made me pay for service before it was actually performed. His reason was people like "us" have not paid before after service being performed. By "us", I think he meant black but I might be wrong. I never leave reviews and I've had bad service before but by far, this has been the worst!Service: Transmission

MUST READ!!! I rarely write reviews, but I HAVE TO!This is one of the most COURTEOUS PROFESSIONAL, NO GIMMICKS, HONEST, TIMELY, and FAIR PRICED repair shops I have ever been to! The minute I walked in, I was greeted by Michael, who was sooo busy, but took the time to smile, shake my hand and LISTEN! This guy assured me the best care for my car and, being a BMW I was nervous about the price...my car had leaked transmission fluid and was suddenly shaking, sliding out of gear, and, according to him, the car was 48 hours from needing a $4800 rebuild if I kept driving on it...Not only did he fill the transmission fluid which was bone dry, he fixed the leak, sealed it, parts, labor for barely $400....and it needed a lot of TLC! There are a lot of places to choose from, especially when in a hurry and on a budget...Michael and his staff CHECK ALL THE BOXES! Reread this....and go see him for your car needs! I actually brought him and his worker 2 Coors lights for an amazing job....:) Thanks! EricPS....just went again in 7-2019 and Jeff is the best there is! He listens and does excellent work! Go here now!

Got a free inspection and (ballpark) estimate on the transmission issues i was having on my 2006 Ford Mustang. Although I decided to go a different route Michael was very forthcoming and helpful. I enjoyed a nice personal conversation with him and it is my belief he had my best interests at heart and was not pushing me to make any brash decisions in order to make a sale. Guys like him are invaluable in this field and I'm thankful for his time and genuine concern with my personal life and financial situation.

Excellent find. Great service, transparent on pricing, easy to work with. I decided to give these guys a try instead of bringing my Chevy Spark into the dealership (who has been doing my work until now). I'm glad I did. I saved money and had a much better experience working with this AAMCO. Would highly recommend this place for your routine service needs.

i tried out aamco after learning it had ties to a veteran and i was very well taken care of. the new owner helped me immensely and made me feel comfortable. brian answered all of my (many) calls/ questions and he was very upfront about any costs. i felt it was very fair pricing and it was done in a timely manner. i was even offered a ride while my car was there. i can't recommend enough. very nice people and local feel:) new management/owner and definitely worth the try!

Found out that something was wrong with our transmission when we took a road trip to Phoenix. Didn t know who to trust to work on it but glad we choose Jonathan and this Aamco location.
