It is so great to have a classic VW specialist in town that is super helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about vintage VWs. I have dropped by on a few occasions with simple questions and Paul and crew are always responsive to my inquiries. Thanks to them my '65 Bug is happy!

Everyone at Wedge Vee Dub are GREAT! My '74 Ghia broke down about a mile from this place, what luck! The crew were awesome; recommended a great tow truck and then did the work on my car quick. Explained what was happening, how they were going to fix it and the estimated cost. Nice waiting area and restroom for customers. Highly recommend!

Took our "new" 1974 VW Super Beetle to Wedge Vee Dubs after buying it off Craigslist in Fresno without even having seen it. It ran but wasn't starting consistently. It has been garage kept for probably 5-10 years. Anyhow Paul at Wedge Vee Dubs was great and got it starting good and running smoother.Pic is my wife whose car this belongs: 20-year surprise anniversary gift from me.

My few experiences here have been great. They take care to do the job right, even go above and beyond the typical customer service. Having a classic vw is a whole thing and they get it on all the nutty levels . Super grateful to have such a lovely local business to support!

This place is awesome. I've had some work done on my daughters bug at other places with mediocre results. I finally took it to Wedge Vee Dub and they took care of everything. There were lots of little things that have been causing problems from brakes, tail lights, fuel filter to the gas gauge not working. They did it all. It starts and runs incredible now. So happy we found these guys. You won't be disappointed when you get your bug back from them.

I took my 1983 Vanagon to Wedge Veedub last month for an engine coolant leak. Paul and crew let me know that it was a cylinder head gasket leaking to no surprise to me. Paul was very informative about the way they repair this issue on the wasserboxer engine. Paul gave me some time to go over other options that I was looking to do to fix the engine. There was no pressure to make the decision quickly. I went with Wedge's recommendation on the repair. Paul kept me informed with each step of the repair. After the repair was finished, my Vangaon ran better than it ever had before. There one small issue after this extensive repair was done, but the Guys at Wedge Veeddub took care of right away. Great shop and great people. I would highly recommend them for all new and classic Volkwagon repairs.

Highly recommend Wedge. These guys are super friendly, know their stuff and Paul, the service manager was fantastic keeping me in the loop every step of the way. They got my 74 all up and running perfectly at a very reasonable cost. If you have a classic VW. These guys are great! I recently purchased a 70 beetle that was a total hack job, and Chris went above and beyond to get my bug back to the way its suppose to be. He was up front and completely honest with everything that needed to be addressed, and actually showed and walked me through all the work he did. The price was very fair, not cheap but fair. And we can't forget Paul, whose customer service was outstanding! I will definitely be coming back ! Thankyou!

I was looking for a rather obscure part for a very early VW carburetor. I looked on the internet and made some calls locally. I was referred to Wedge. I called and they took the time to see if they might have the part I needed. He informed me that they did indeed have it. I drove from Tempe to central Phoenix to pick it up. They had the part sitting there waiting for me. This was my first occasion to deal with them and as a business owner myself I can tell you I was impressed. Old school polite, efficient and cordial.

We took our 2002 beetle in to get a oil leek fixed. It ran great going there. We got a call back saying it ran horrible and they didn't have time to work on it. We got it back with multiple engine lights on and no breaks. We called them and they said that is the way we dropped it off which is a complete lye. It ran great no engine lights and breaks, the told my husband to take them to small claims court... now I have a messed up beetle due to this place!

Not happy at all with their service and prices ?? Was recommended by another VW mechanic. Yes my 1984 VW Vanagon will take $1700 to change the tank and the fuel system related to it. This is in addition to the $600 plus I paid for diagnostics and to change a couple of small items related to temperature. Please RESPECT YOUR CLIENTS INTELLIGENCE. This is ridiculous. Arrogance doesn't pay. You are not the only ones in the market... this behavior is NOT sustainable to you and I advise you to revise your behavior towards clients.NEVERE AGAIN!!! (I must say I dealt with Ray in front desk and he was very kind)

I recently got my 1970 vw Bug back from Wedge Vee dub. It broke my heart because my car didn't make the 35 miles to my house. Heard a loud noise then oil and smoke were everywhere. Now my car sits broken down in the driveway just like it was before I went to Wedge vee dub and spent thousands of dollars to drive 25 miles. Went to wedge because they used to take care of my last bug when it was Karl's, wow what difference. The guys are cool and courteous however I don't have a happy ending or a running VW.Brian

They worked on my 64 bus. I dropped it off and worked with Paul. They did what they said they were going to do in the price was reasonable. I would not hesitate to work with them again.

Called on a Friday for my wife's 356 replica. It had several oil leaks and needed the webers dialed in from sitting. Paul got me in Monday morning and the car was done Tuesday. Great service and follow up all along the way. I highly recommend Wedge for all vintage vw enthusiasts

To be perfectly honest I did not conduct any business with this place. I was driving by and saw the collection of VW Microbuses and Beetles parked outside, so I stopped out of sheer curiosity. I briefly spoke with one of of the shop owners/managers. (Very pleasant gentleman.) I think the fact that they dedicate themselves to repairing and restoring classic VWs is completely and totally awesome and hence the reason I am posting a review. Kudos to these professionals!

Great group of guys. Let's you know about what your vehicle needs prior to fixing and shows you in person before any work is done. My VW '73 Thing is getting the attention it needs. Their specialty is VW's.

Just bought a 1971 Super Beetle. It took a crap and I towed it in. They got right on it and went through and made a list of suggestions of things that needed attention and what I should take a look at. Fast and quality service with a fair price. They have a new customer for life

I recently purchased a '74 Westfalia from a guy in Phoenix off of the Samba, and the previous owner had his engine rebuilt, mechanical issues taken care of and seats redone here at Wedge Vee Dub. I live in Seattle, and before buying the bus I gave Paul (the owner) a call at Wedge Vee Dub. I asked if he thought the bus was mechanically sound and could drive from Phoenix to its new home in Seattle. Paul gave me his word that his work is pristine and his engine would without a doubt make the 1,548 mile journey..I booked a one way ticket to phoenix, saw the gorgeous westy, and drove off. We averaged a solid 60-65mph the entire way home, climbed passes with ease, drove through an insane wind storm just before the Tehatchapi Pass, drove through crazy rain all throughout Redding, CA to Portland, and then drove through a snow storm in South Washington for 30 mins before finally arriving home in Seattle. Paul, your work is professional and impeccable. We bought oil to add incase we lost any (it's 44 years old and a VW) and I added a LITTLE oil around 1200 miles... that's incredible for a VW. Thank you for your hard work, honesty, and integrity. If for whatever reason I end up in Phoenix, I'd love to thank you in person. Great shop. Great people. Use Wedge Vee Dub.

Exceptional group of VW enthusiasts/mechanics. Paul, the mechanic out back, is as good as it gets; intelligent, experienced, sincere, honest. I really appreciate all the help he has provided me in preparing my '68 VW Bus for the overland adventure through Mexico that I'm currently on ;)

Just bought a gas cap cause I knew it was needed for emissions but he had the audacity to " I charged you for one just in case". Charged me $20 to tighten my clutch cable and didn't even put on the wing nut it was missing. But confronted said he'd sell me the nut for $5. They did fix what I went in for but found a thousand other repairs needed that some I know are bs updates. Just because I'm young don't sell me. Guy was a complete thief.

Chris, Paul, and the whole crew have always been the best to me. I've already had three cats done there, and they're now working on a fourth!
