If there was a -5 star option would be more appropriate for this review. Back on October 17. I took my vehicle for an oil change at the 48th St. and Chandler boulevard location in Ahwatukee. After one hour of having my oil changed, my car blew up on the freeway. Luckily, my daughter, dog and I were able to escape without injury. My daughter and I are traumatized by this event. After this happened, I tried multiple times to get a hold of someone at the station to let them know what happened. Ironically, they don t have a landline, Yet, when you call they have an option for damages and once you select option call get disconnected after holding for 20+ minutes.

I took my vehicle in for an oil change service on 1/27. The agent working on my vehicle did not put my skid plate/splash guard on properly after changing my oil and it fell well I was driving Monday morning. I need to have it fixed and reinstalled and nobody will help me. I have called the shop, and corporate service 6 total times. I have left 5 voicemails and not one person has gotten back to me in 4 days. Horrible customer service.

I just wanted to post a quick review for my oil change this morning at the location off chandler blvd and 48th st. This is the second time I have been to this location and I wanted to give the 2 employees working some praise (a female and male), They were both fast, friendly and thorough. I wish I got their names but the female working there is an especially good representative for this location and business.

Such amazing staff all very very knowledgeable and helpful. They break everything down super helpfully and probably the MOST AMAZING oil change I've ever gotten! Jordan and Liz are awesome

Had an oil change on 2/9. Took almost an hour since the techs struggled with the engine coolant reservoir. Got home and all the engine coolant had leaked out. Called the store, non working phone. Called Customer Service, select service issue prompt, immediately disconnected. Stop by the store 2/12 and speak with the manager. She says she and a tech will come over that night. She comes over at 9pm and can t fix the car. The tech with her tells her to go through their claim process and she agrees. She tells me she will call in the morning to give me an update. She doesn t call. I call her and my number is blocked. Call customer service and I have to leave what is now my third message. Stop by the store at 3p on 2/15 and ask for district manager number. They will not provide it. Tech calls store manager and is told that they are sending someone to my house between 10-3 on 2/16 but nobody called to inform me of this. Had I not stopped at the store I would not have known. My wife calls the store manager and asks why she never called us to update and is told to quit calling the cell phone that the manager provided to us and that my wife s cell phone would also be blocked. Asked the manager again for the district managers contact info and she refused to provide it. My wife was also told that the claim process could take months and it is not Take 5 s responsibility to call customers and provide updates. Highly recommend staying away from this business.

I came at 8:30am on a Monday and there were two hard working gentlemen working on the two cars here. One of them came up and offered a free water while I wait the few minutes for them to finish the two cars- I am seriously so impressed with their positivity and efficiency! I really appreciated their effort and hope they know their communication skills are off the charts!! I wish I knew their names but one has brown curly hair and the other a mustache.

Marcus and Jazmyne did an excellent job. They were professional, courteous, and got my oil changed in a timely manner. I appreciate the attention to detail and the safety check at the end of the oil change. Marcus provided me with upgrade options and did oversell me if it wasn t necessary. I plan to visit this location again for my next oil change.

Alex and Marcus did a wonderful job! My car was having issues and after I left it was working fine. Alex aired up my tires as well without being asked. He noticed they were low.So I got everything I needed done in one place: oil and filters changed, coolant exchanged and tires aired up and windshield cleaned.

I took my daughter s car here for an oil change while she was down from college for Thanksgiving. They made sure all aspects of her car was ready to drive again including air filters and wipers. It was so fast and thorough! All this while I waited in my car with a nice cold bottle of water. I was in and out so fast and my daughter is back on the road. Thank you so much Take 5

Updates review: I was finally able to go later in the day, after they opened and they were fabulous. The only reason for the 3 is because it's still not open during listed business hours.Listed hours say the business opens at 7.When I call, it says the same thing. I'm sitting outside the business at 755 and it's not open. Please update your hours, or open at 7.

The new management and new employees are actually quite amazing! I never experienced problems there myself before the staff switch, but I know other people did. Those problems have all been resolved, and I ve gotten nothing but great service and knowledgeable technicians. Their flight, quick, sorrow, and dedicated to making a good name for themselves here in Ahwatukee. If you were hesitating before, give these guys a shot!

Paid 130$ for the premium oil change. Didn t check my tires, didn t check my wipers or ask if I wanted them replaced. Didn t clean my windows. If you aren t going to do those things, don t put them on the receipt and say you did. Just lazy and sloppy. Oil is dripping on my driveway, hope the filter is tight. Lastly, is it really that difficult to wipe the oil off your hands when you touch the hood? Or is that extra. First time, last time.

Visited this location around 2pm and they were busy with one other car when we arrived. Never got an oil change after waiting for over 35 minutes. As were waiting and wasting gas because we were told to keep our car running, Liz started helping someone else in the other bay, who arrived about 10 minutes after we did. We really liked this location in the past. But today it wasn't great service. Very disappointed.

They didn t tighten down the oil pan and I had to take my car to my mechanic this morning on the way to work to get it checked. So lost additional time and money. Last time they changed the filter in my glove box and then couldn t get the glove box reinstalled so now my dashboard is crooked. Will never go back there again .

Being it was my first time, the wait time was unbearable long! It was 3 cars before me, and only 2 people working. I had to move out my spot because another car was in another line and since I pulled in the lane with only 1 car they had me move so the other car could get in front of me. So overall I was there over an hour, and the only reason I stayed is because I had a coupon. And the mechanic there kept making uncomfortable jokes about my branch of military, which started to sit uneasy with me. I probably will not go back because I don't want to sit for over an hour, when you advertise a 10min oil change. So please for future reference try and staff better so we are not waiting all day for a quick job, resulting in us going somewhere else. Thank you, have a great day.

I really don't know if it's because they need extra $ or if it was the fact that I didn't bring my husband with me for the first time ever, but this location attempted to mislead me about the state of certain parts and repeatedly asked to upcharge me on things that are almost new or just did not need replaced. I would recommend another company which is disappointing because I have been going to take 5 for years.

Fast, friendly, and I could wait in the comfort of my own car while my daughter continued her nap in her carseat. I'll definately stop back in for the free top off. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.

I really wanted to like this place but...The customer service is fantastic and they really do make you feel cared for and welcome.The real bummer here is that the service is so unbearably slow. So slow infact I have on multiple occasions sat between 1 and 2 hours while waiting for them to finish the current vehicle in the bay and ONE car in front of me. One of these times I was only there to try and take advantage of their free top off and tire pressure check... Little did I know I would wait upwards of an hour.They have three bays but I only ever see one, maybe 2 in use at any given time. When I arrived there most recently (9/23/23) for the top off I mentioned earlier there were 3 cars in the bay. The one in the middle left first being replaced by the car in front of me, the right bay car left second and was not used for the remainder of my wait. During all that time there was a Kia sitting in the left bay with seemingly nothing going on, it appears as if an employee was sent to another store and back for something. That vehicle was still waiting by the time I got helped.I'm sure my top off could have been completed in around 5 minutes using the empty bay but no one even approached my vehicle until after I've been waiting for an hour and a half. So much gas was spent idling, so much of my time was wasted and I feel utterly disrespected for not even being approached.To try to wrap this up, for a company that advertises quick oil changes that realistically shouldn't take more than 15 minutes and has branding that seems to promote the idea of a "5 minute oil change" the reality could not be farther from the truth.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Terrible experience, technicians were nice so this post is not about them just take 5 in general. Waited 40 minutes to pull into bay, another 30 minutes inside the bay. Finally my turn and the dreaded words we don't have your oil filter in stock. Come on, we could have figured this out a hour ago. Take 5, change your process make sure you have everything for cars waiting, maybe have 1 person checking cars is as they pull onto lot.

Never ever go to this place!!! They broke a part on our car and refused to do anything about it. They said give us a day. No communication. Manger was no help at all, they don t answer the phones. We had to get the car towed at our own expense and pay out to fix the problem they caused. Less than a year open. So sad!!!!

This was a first and worse experience that i ever had (when it comes to a oil change) customer service started off good, and when they started providing service the technician broke the threaded casing that holds the oil pan screw! We had to wait 4 hours for a tow truck because the part is out of stock and on backorder.... we understand mistakes happen the tech. Acknowledged his mistake and we told him we were not going to get upset because he acknowledged it and said that they would fix the problem and dealership would bill them(we were getting a oil change at this place with the intention of driving to San Diego for our honeymoon, which is now postponed)......Service: Oil change

Over priced. Got the same oil change deal at another place for much less. They could not figure out how to remove skid plates. That should be a thing they should know how to do at an oil change establishment.

It took more than 30 mins to complete. The gentleman was nice. My concern is they provide stickers to which they estimate the mileage to return of 2600 miles. I have been to places where they estimate the mileage for oil replacement at 5000 miles. Not impressed with their model of charging people more often when it s not necessary. Lesson learned, I will be going back to their competitor.Service: Oil change

My experience was amazing! It was my firat time trying Take 5 and I will definitely be back! I had my three year old daughter with me and they were so kind! They gave us water, fruit snacks and a sucker! The customer service was superb and the service was way more than expected! They even cleaned my windshield! Thank you for the great service and experience!

I wasn t expecting the 5 star service my family and I received. We were just passing through and I was looking for a quick change as I continued my drive.We pull up and are immediately offered waters and juice packs for my kiddos, along with some cookies. Already impressive.They were super friendly and informative. I was in and out in about 25 minutes.I don t know if I will ever have to go back as I m not close at all, but if you re close by I d highly recommend this place.Total overall was about $55 on our van.About what I normally spend, as long as you don t end up buying any of the upcharged items like wipers and air filters. Those are convenient if you don t know anything about how to do that stuff, but they are way cheaper if you do them yourself.If I didn t know, I d use them. They were great!

Jason and Liz were awesome, and my experience was a complete surprise! They did not charge me for things I did not need, and their attitudes were so upbeat and positive even if they were working outside in 118 degrees that day! They had a swamp cooler, but if you live in Arizona, you know that just doesn't work in this heat. Thank you both for helping a single woman out instead of taking advantage. You are both an asset to this company for sure! I will return and recommend.
