Poor Boys Diesel did some work on my 2012 f350, they ended up replacing my turbo and upgrading my cp4. I had been in contact with Anthony who kept me updated through out the process and answered all my questions, he was great to work with. My truck has been back on the road for a couple weeks now with no issues.Great service and great work would recommend this shop

I just got my 3500 back from Poor Boys Diesel and it is running great again. I am so glad i found Poor Boys Diesel. I used to take my truck to the dealership for service but I never felt I could trust them. At Poor Boys I get a completely different feeling. They are a family business and it shows with the great customer service and quality work that they do. I wholeheartedly give Poor Boys Diesel 5 stars!

Poor Boys is my new home shop! My 4th gen 6.7 had issues for over a year & none of the other mechanics could resolve it, Tim basically got it on the first shot. Communication was A1 & that s big for me. Also, Dave is a complete badass. TAKE YOUR TRUCK TO PBD!

We just got back from Phoenix, where I dropped off my truck at Poor Boys Diesel Performance, with the thought of having to replace my engine. The local shop here in Havasu diagnosed that the engine had to be replaced due to excessive blow by and white smoke from the exhaust. Poor Boys diagnosed it with a vacuum leak from a 3" hose. Thank you to Tim and his crew and big shout to Dave at the front desk who is the coolest and funny dude.

PBD is by far the best diesel shop I have ever let work on any on my trucks. They are a very friendly and knowledgeable about their work. They communicate very well and let you know what s going on with your truck 24/7. They don t beat around the bush with prices they are very up front about everything. PBD is the only shop in the valley that will work on my truck.

The person I was working with was really nice and did try to work with me, for the most part. We were discussing doing a 4x4 conversion on my truck and ran into multiple problems with communicating with poor boys diesel. Initially I had one of there guys give me a rough estimate without running any numbers which came up to our budget of about 5 to 6 thousand dollars. But they then doubled the price to $10,000 without much of an explanation other than they ran their numbers. This would have been fine if they didn't keep raising the price. After sending in photos they began raising their price again way over budget, explain how they wanted, not needed, to do more work for they're reputation, saying how they needed to repaint the front end of my truck and needed to do substantially more work than was necessary because they wanted a pretty job. Would not work with us on just initially doing the job right and safe and wanted way more money for way more work than was needed. Furthermore, the financial support they offer, through Koalafi, was exploitive. They're financing company was going to only offer 1100 for the job at a 200% interest rate. 200% interest. To me this might be a decent shop if you want a fully rebuilt truck ever time you do a big job on your vehicle, but otherwise I'd keep well in mind they appear to go after commission, constantly ramping up their prices for more than needed work.

Top notch work from the guys at Poor Boys. Excellent customer service with also being hardworking and on time. If I ever had any questions or concerns they would answer them with all the information needed. Truck came back better than ever, would highly recommend.

Well I just got back from my first camping trip with my "new" Ford! We gained over 4k feet in elevation, with me hauling the trailer, mule, and almost 300 pounds of water. The truck performed PERFECTLY! It even feels more smooth thru the steering wheel! It hauled up hills like they weren't there! And the fuel mileage was significantly better than prior to the amazing work you did! I could NOT be any happier. I'm not going to shed one more moment worrying about it "going bad" again, but instead will just enjoy my truck. Thank you for all that you do, and what you did for me specifically!

Poor Boys is absolutely hands down the best shop I have ever dealt with. First and for most, they are honest which is extremely hard to find in a shop now a days. Not only do they listen to their customers, they can relate to them as well. Since my first trip in I felt like part of their family. They will make sure that what you want is what you actually need. They do not try to up sell you on anything. If you think you need something done, they will diagnose and verify before just loading the parts shot gun like most of these shops around town. Want to give a HUGE shoutout to their 6.0 specialist Dillon, amazing work, super clean and he loves what he does which shows in his work. If you need anything done to your diesel this is the place to go, doesn t matter if it s just an oil change, alignment done, stock motor rebuild or a full blown race truck, this is the spot. Not only the quickest turn times in the state but the cleanest work I have seen in years. I like to work on my own vehicles but sometimes it s more efficient to have a shop do your work, wether it be due to time constraints or the cost of specialty tools being too much for an ROI. Long story short, Tim, his mom Meredith, Anthony and the rest are the most down to earth people I have ever met when it comes to running a shop. They will be the only place I ever take my trucks to and I hope this review will convince others to give them a shot and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Thank you guys for the amazing work and knowledge that you have provided!!

Badass shop. They've done multiple jobs on both powerstrokes I've owned, as well as my old Duramax. I wouldn't use any other diesel shop in town.

PBD is next level, they take care of you are willing to help out a guy in need and get you back out they do quality work and have very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They don t beat around the bush and don t try to charge you for extra stuff they are top tier and would recommend them to anyone I drive half the valley for quality that s unmatched.

I wanted to thank these hardworking, honest individuals!I have taken my truck to over6 mechanics over time about a simple issue with my air conditioning.So much that I just quit. I took her in for an oil change and am so happy they were able to repair my air the same day!After the previous fass system install and work on my truck in general, I have to attest they do quality workmanship!I found Po Boys and am so grateful!

These guys are honest, hard working, and they will treat you fairly. They will even work on nightmare trucks like mine. I have been in a few times since buying a 2003 6.0 PSD and I have always felt they have done right be me and been honest with the work they have done and the work that still needed to be done in the future. Some day I am going to drive into that shop to get work done before it has to be towed into them. But, I do appreciate them always being able to get me into the shop. They will continue to get my business and those of my friends and family.

The turbo on our 2011 dodge ram went out and poor boys took awesome care of us. They beat the lowest price shop we could find by 1k and the highest price place by 3k. Tim and everyone else involved were awesome, went above and beyond our expectations. We have some other upgrades that we can't wait to get done. Great customer service! Everyone is extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions. Tim took the time to actually ask what my intentions with my truck were and gave me a better route to go. Which actually ended up saving me money in the long run. They got a lot of work done on my truck and I would highly recommend them!

Poor boys did a amazing job on my 2018 ram 2500 it did not take long for them to solve the problem and get the truck back on the road again. Tim and Anthony are awesome! ill be going back for more work done!

I met The crew from Poor Boys at the UTV/sand/off road show at west world a couple years ago, I was impressed with Tim (owner) and his willingness to help me get my truck ready for a trip that I was taking and I needed new injectors. I have notoriously always done my own work on my Vehicles and have been extremely skeptical of anywhere I do end up taking my stuff. Unfortunately my time is at a minimum these days and I'm forced to have other people do the work. This is where I have literally been blessed with Tim and poor boys! Tim has proven over and over again that I can trust him and his team. I no longer have to worry about how someone is going to treat my truck! Tim has saved several trips for me with last second fixes and repairs that just happened at the wrong time. Recently I had a turbo failure and was able to text Tim at 8pm to ask if I could have it towed to his shop, of course per the norm he answered in minutes and told me where to leave the keys etc. He has always made it a point to make sure he can help in these types of situations. I was having some other work done a few months ago and came to pick my truck up and Tim noted that they had found an additional problem (that had been driving me nuts squeaking) and threw a spare belt tensioner on that they had at the shop to fix it no charge! Historically anything having to do with my Vehicles being in the shop has just stressed me out and worried if things are being done right or it's being treated how I would treat it. Well I no longer worry about that with Tim and poor boys, I truly do believe that he treats my truck like it were his own. Always has paper mats on the floorboard parks it mindfully when near other vehicles etc. I also have never felt pressure from anyone at the shop to do anything, they understand budgets and timeframes that are needed and advise accordingly and give options. But can also discuss the big plans and cool stuff when it's time! I would also like to mention Ben the tech that has been mostly involved with working on my truck, Always very helpful and willing to show what he found and what he is doing which is much appreciated! As well as the office staff and Tim's mom I have always felt very welcomed anytime I show up to the shop. Tim is really a stand up Business owner and someone that I have grown to trust and respect. The whole crew at poor boys is top notch and I would recommend them to anyone looking for anything from basic Maintenance to full on engine builds! It's been very nice having someone I can trust! I'm gonna be honest. 5 stars is NOT enough. Poor Boys Diesel will go ABOVE and BEYOND for you. They evaluated my entire truck and I brought it in for only a brake caliper that seized. They found several problems I was unaware of. Do not think about another shop. Bring it here. Get treated with respect. Get reasonable prices. And get excellent work. Tim and his crew have earned my respect. Very informative. Explained everything that was needed and even showed me a tool I would need to do something myself. I will recommend to all my co-workers/friends/random people I meet.I would consider Tim a friend now after only seeing him in person twice.His receptionist was a very kind lady that showed me the utmost respect. Before paying she insisted I speak to Tim to know exactly what to I was paying for.His techs were 15/10. Good guys. Loved talking to them.Tools were good quality. Shop is clean. One of the cleanest I have seen. And it's a diesel shop. Basically unheard of.They seen my subs and wanted a little demo. Gave them one and they thought it was cool.15/10. Will go nowhere else. Family owned business that treats you as one of their own.

I just got in to Phoenix from Colorado and noticed my truck was running hot. Based on other reviews for PBD I decided to give them a try. They got me in right away and was able to find the problem. They also found a problem with my steering linkage during the test drive and fixed that too. They got me in an out in under two days and I was very happy with the fix and the price of the repairs. Excellent work!

Awesome diesel shop. Replaced the bad transmission in my 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins. I got the stage 2 unit and it made a big difference. Customer service was great and had it done fast.

Tim and his crew are great to deal with. Always willing to help you out. Fair pricing and quality work. One of the only shops I'll bring my truck to for work even tho they're 45min away. Worth the drive.
