I had taken my car to the dealership and they told me my brakes needed replaced. After inspecting, John called to let me know I had 5000 miles left on the front and the back brakes had 50%. I chose to have him replace the front brakes. The job was completed perfectly, and his honestly was truly refreshing. Price was exactly as quoted. M&M was recommended by a friend and I now will be happy to recommend M&M for any automotive work. Great job John!!!I since have continued having M&M do my maintenance, oil and filters, ac check and recharge and general safety checks. John is very accommodating with scheduling(please be as considerate as possible with notice) as his reputation brings him a lot of business! Continued highest recommendation!!

As a long time, loyal customer of a terrific local Toyota repair shop that recently scaled back to mobile-only, I was very worried I wouldn't be able to find anyone I liked and trusted as much. Fortunately for me, the owner referred me to M&M Automotive with his highest recommendation. Now that I've taken my car to M&M Automotive, I know that I've been doubly blessed with these two auto repair shops. John was very kind, straightforward, and easy to work with. I came in with a couple of specific requests and one very general one, and he went above and beyond to ensure it was all taken care of within the same day and for a very reasonable price. What more could I ask for? Not only that, but when I went in to drop off my car, I sat down to order up a Lyft, and as soon as I finished and looked up, the other customer who was sitting there could not wait to tell me what a great shop this was, that she was a longtime customer and that he was very honest and helpful and reasonably priced. The reviews online are also glowing. I will definitely be bringing my car back to John. M & M is a transparent and trustworthy mechanic shop. I have been coming to him for about a year and a half now. They always call with updates, and asks for permission before replacing expensive parts. I've been taking my cars to M and M for several years, and I hope to never have to find another mechanic in my life. John, the owner, and everyone there is incredibly honest, flexible, timely, and helpful. They don't overcharge or try to upsell and will have your vehicle back to you quicker than just about anyone else. Amazing service and value.

Called and asked for some quotes for a tune-up and told him the mileage and asked if it was necessary, the gentleman said tune up is not necessary at this time. Asked for regular maintenance and an oil change. Any other mechanic will just tell you yes to get more money out of you. I appreciate the honesty. I will give another review after the work is complete on the vehicle. Already impressed with their customer service.

I've been bringing my cars for all maintenance and repair work to him for years now and I know he is trustworthy and will tell you what he can or can't do. I highly recommend this service. M&M was an excellent recommendation from a colleague. They maintain & repair (when needed) wife's Jeep and our Ford Transit Van. They've even fixed parts rather than replace them at considerable savings. They don't sell me anything I don't need. My most recent service was a standard LOF with recommended air filter replacement. They inspected the air filter and told me that it was still clean and did not yet need replacement. They even straightened my dented exhaust pipe even though I had forgotten to mention it when I brought it in. And John & company have been quite pleasant in all my dealings with them. John is always honest, fair and persistent in troubleshooting issues. I had a complex ABS issue that was displaying ABS error, the dealer and auto specialists were quoting high repair prices for this - John got the tricky issue figured out and solved 100% for fraction of what competitors wanted for it. Highly recommend!!!

I've been going here for 22 years with all my vehicles. They've been honest and fair, never charging more than what they quoted me for the work. Their work is excellent and I've recommended them to others. I don't know anyone who hasn't been extremely satisfied with their work and prices. Went to get a used car checked out that I had bought a few days prior. Had no ac and I asked him to specifically tell me about any issues, present and up and coming. He said nothing was wrong with the car at all and just filled the system with freon. 1 week later having ac issues it won't work when I'm driving, and my rotor just snapped off completely while I was driving. Would not recommend anyone go here.Service: A/C installation & repair

John and his crew are wonderful to work with. Their work is accurate and complete. They do not look to gouge you on labor or parts like so many other shops do. They do not try to upsell you on parts you do not need. This is not my first visit and will not be my last. Visited M and M because the shop here in Berkeley CA wanted an arm and a leg for new struts, one cv boot replacement, spark plugs, an oil change, and a alignment bolt. My sister has used John's place for years and since I was passing through Phoenix I thought I'd give him a try.I made arrangements for drop-off and pickup and the car was ready on time. When I dropped the car off, all the required work was written down and dictated back to me. During my time away, John called to tell me his findings and make any changes to the required work. John took a look at an issue I was having with the steering column and said it was OK, and he also checked the suspension and steering to make sure nothing else was a problem. Nothing found. Nothing charged. A solid company with good folks.John would have been happy to buy the particular brand of part I wanted, but that wasn't important to me. If you're particular about your parts, there you go.No one likes paying for car repairs, but with M and M you get quality work at a fair price.

John and his very caring and capable staff have worked and my car and my Jeep and always try to provide the best service at reasonable prices. The last time they worked on my car, my mechanic checked my air cabin filter which was filthy and which my former VW specialist had missed on inspection.They also rotated my tires while it was up on the rack on my last oil change.John and his staff are Profesional and courteous. I appreciate all the work they have done and will continue to do in the future.

John and his staff are the choice if you have vehicle problems. In my own experience after a breakdown I looked for the best reviews in the area and wasn't disappointed with the level of service or the price. Good to know that there still are quality people out there who stand behind quality work! I'd definitely recommend them to anyone for future work.

John & his team were awesome! My VW Touareg's brake warning light started coming on making me think I needed new brakes or at least new brake pads. I dropped it off to John whom told me I have 60% brake life left. He could have taken me for a ton of money, but he didn't. This is not the first time that he has saved me a ton of money in un-needed repairs.I refer to him as "Honest John". I KNOW he will always take care of me, my vehicle and will do a great job without charging me a fortune. Although there are many repair places closer to me, he is sooooooooooo worth it.All of the team at M & M are the best of the best and for less. I highly recommend them to everyone and I should know as I am in the automotive industry and wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else.Thank you M & M!!!!Kimberly

I have been going to M and M Automotive since the 1990s and the business was located on North Lane. I think the testimony of their capabilities is my current Ford Ranger has almost 207,000 miles with minimal expenditures outside routine maintenance and is still running great and my former Chevy S-10 was almost 225,000 miles before I decided to treat myself to a new vehicle. I recommend M and M to all my friends/family with no hesitation or caveats.

John, Gary and the team at M&M have been doing all of our vehicle work for about three years now and we will never go anywhere else. These guys have helped us out of some pretty huge last minute binds a couple of times and they have always been fair with us. They work with you to make everything as quick and convenient as possible and guarantee their work. There's no business I trust more than M&M and have no intention of ever having car work done by anyone else.

The prior owner of my vehicle used John for all of the vehicle's service and provided me with service records. The rack and pinion unit was replaced shortly before I purchased the car about six months ago. The unit has developed a fluid leak, which is not M&M's fault but the fault of the local parts supplier. I brought the car back to John for an inspection of the fluid leak and he confirmed that the part was leaking. He agreed to replace the part and also cover the labor for replacing the part, only charging me for a new steering alignment which is required when replacing a rack and pinion unit. I thought this was more than fair and showed good faith in standing behind work in this manner.

PART 3: 8 1 2020John, thanks for keeping running my dilapidated old pickup. I can now exit the vehicle without thinking the door might fall off the hinges. I can operate my windows without having to reach inside the door panel to find the switch. I can drag my boat all over this hot desert, knowing i'll be safe because you checked all the belts and hoses. I can park anywhere knowing that the oil pan is no longer leaking. And the AC is back to its normal icy cold performance. That's my last visit. You and the crew at M and M are the BEST================================================I have been using John and his crew for several years now. And all i can say is YES to all the other reviews. All of my work has been basic maintenance, no major repairs, but that kind of good maintenance keeps the big repairs from happening. and now my son is also bringing his truck there too. Great prices! Great value! Great service!PART 2: July 22, 2018Have you heard about the business / person who gives critical advice and service when there is no money at all involved? That's what you can get when you build a relationship with John Petrusha at M&M Automotive. From my previous review, you know I have been his customer for several years. I was driving to Marana from Phoenix for a business meeting when the battery light in my Chevy Silverado came on. I called John and he cautioned about trying to drive back to PHoenix. I was devastated, expecting a hotel stay and inflated repair bill at the hands of someone who knew I was stranded in Tucson and needed to get back to Phoenix. John said to get my meeting done and he would soon have a recommendation for a mechanic in Tucson. After my meeting, I had a text from John, recommending Advantage Auto Repair in Tucson. It was about an additional 25 miles to drive, but I knew I had to follow John's advice. I called Advantage and told them I was coming, and after my meeting in Marana, I drove to Tucson and met Oscar at Advantage Auto Repair. Be sure to check his google listing for my review of his shop. The important thing to know about John is this: He sent me to a shop that he thought would be honest and thorough. That did indeed happen. Oscar fixed my alternator, got the price down from $477 to $259, gave me a ride to lunch, and got me back on the rode to Phoenix within just three hours. I really don't think I would have found ADVANTAGE AUTO REPAIR in Tucson on my own. John Petrusha did that for me, just to help out one of his customers when HE HIMSELF could not do the repair. Met the guys at M and M Automotive after visiting Larry whatever Hyundai dealer for my 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The dealership told me my compressor went bad and I needed to replace it and it was going to cost over $1200 after they charged me over $100 to diagnose the problem. I took my car to John at M and M and they did a "true" diagnosis and not only did I pay less than the bs diagnosis at the dealership but they fixed my problem and it didn't even cost me over $100. John and the guys at M and M are a group of great guys and are the kind of great mechanics you can still find out there if you look hard enough. I will never go anywhere else for any of my car needs. John has done work on all my cars. Land Rover, BMW, Jaguar, Buick and Cadillac. Probably a few that I've forgotten about. I've never hesitated to refer John to all my friends because I know for sure that he will give them an honest assessment at great prices. bottom line he will do the work that's needed and not make up some repair that isn't !

I was pleased with their service until I had a major component replaced. I brought my car in to them trusting them to do good work on a new clutch as they had done good work for me in the past. They severely messed up the clutch job, I would say that the mechanics didn't understand my vehicle in the slightest. 3 MONTHS of back and forth with them until magically they realized that a switch on my clutch was not engaged and was what was giving my new clutch so many problems. 3 months to figure out a very minor thing that should of been engaged in the very beginning install. Since then, parts that aren't even a year old that they installed have now completely failed. I fear even bringing my vehicle back to them for those replacement parts, I would rather pay another shop full price then to have the hassle and the run around I had previously.All in all, if you are looking for minor repairs and fixes this is a great shop. But DO NOT TRUST THEM with any major repairs. I am very very dissapointed I ever spent a dime with this company.

M and M Auto was amazing. Had to get a radiator replaced in January, a friend from work referred me to them to get a second opinion quote to compare to my normal shop who could not get it done for five days. M and M got me in next-day, and beat the quote from my *previous* go-to shop by a good amount. The guys were so professional, checked out everything else, and were 100% honest about anything they could forecast needing done.Needless to say, my family now uses M and M for all of our repairs I cannot do in the garage, and I won't go anywhere else!

We have been bringing our cars (old and new) and an 1996 truck to John for 13 years. We would never go anywhere else. John (the owner) doesn't operate like a corporation, he operates like a small business. He looks for less expensive solutions. He is hands on and is fair and fast. He also, in his write up, lists things that might become a problem in the future. We have recommended him to a number of friends and they also use him exclusively. The most important thing is we trust him. Cheryl & Pete, Cave Creek (PS we drive all the way from Cave Creek and have had our cars towed to him no matter where we are, that is how good he is)
