I just wanted to say that Kelly machine shop did an awesome job on my 5.7 liter heads and valve job! I got it all back together. The truck is running like a champion. He gave me some good tips, replacing my headbolts and doing the lifters, Checking the cam And I really appreciate the fact that he went that far to share his experience with me also if you get a chance, take the tour around his shop. He's dealing with some of the most high end technology and equipment to do grade A work thanks a lot any time I got a project. It'll be coming to you guys! sincerely Cali J

Kelly and his operation are the real deal and have what they do on lockdown!Kelly knows his industry through and through and moves through finding out what you want and need seamlessly.Priced competitively, I won't take my engine work anywhere else as long as he'll take our small shop's work.

Anything you need done with your engines? This is the place to go. They know their business very well. They re extremely friendly and helpful which is very hard to find anymore. I highly highly recommend this place.

These guys are great people.They know what they are doing and several of my friends and several automotive repair shop owners I personally know use them regularly.Great service, great people and they are involved with our community.If Kelly's does your machine work then it is done right.. I have known them for over 40 years.

Machine work is stellar!I brought my Cummins 6.7 head here and am thoroughly impressed with the work that was done. The machinists here are absolutely masters at their craft.Thank you gentlemen, for the work that you did and also for the help and advice on my build.

Absolutely horrible rebuild done on one of my motors. It appeared that there were no new gaskets put in at all, let alone any other work done. Within 6 months I was having all the same compression and misfire problems. When looked at and scoped by another shop because of a major misfire (reason it was "rebuilt" by Kelley's) they told me the engine was done for, and if it had been worked on, it was no time recently. I highly do NOT recommend this place. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Had an amazing experience. The communication through the process was plentiful. I was given many options and the pros and cons of each. I was offered and accepted a shop tour that was definitely not rushed. All the Staff we're humble and accommodating. Did a great job. I haven't started the engine yet, but I am not concerned, I am sure it will fore right up.

If you need machine work on an engine or head, I highly recommend Kelly's. I had them clean, deck, bore, & hone my 22r block & it turned out great !! They even hooked me up with some extra work that I didn't even ask to be done. Price is not bad but you get what you pay for. They have great customer service & will not let you down.

They did an extremely good job on some 2v heads. The valve job and spark plug well sleeves look great. The machining and cleaning of the heads is very appealing. Only took about a week and they charged a very reasonable price. I would highly recomend them to anyone who is looking for a good automotive machine shop.

I am not one to write reviews but I had such an outstanding experience with Kelley s Machine Shop that I decided I should share my experience. I am not a mechanic but I am rebuilding a 454 for a Blazer I am working on with my kids.When we dropped our block and heads off, Shawn took the time to walk us through the entire shop and show us step by step what the machining process would be. He answered every question we had and while I could see he was busy, we never felt rushed.Let me tell you, I have had a lot of questions! Shawn helped us order all of the parts we needed for the build, and helped us make decisions on things like Cam selection. He has connected us with a transmission shop and even called them to discuss what stall torque converter we would need. He explained how to set my oil pump pick-up depth and offered to weld it for me once it is set. He encouraged me to call him with any questions I had.Kelley s Machine Shop probably didn t make a lot of money on my build, especially when you consider all of the time they spent helping us. What they did make is a customer for life. There is a reason that their reviews are so good, Shawn Kelly believes in the kind of customer service that is hard to come by these days.From our family to yours, thank you for a great experience!

These guys are very knowledgeable and very friendly. They took the time to show me everything they did to my engine block without me asking. Very reasonable prices and they get the job done quickly. Definitely would recommend them for your engine needs.

This place is amazing !!!! Once you start your relationship with Kelly's machine shop you realize it's like you're one big family. Shawn treats his customers like he's helping his own mom!! He's honest,kind,and fair . Every time I have ever called they answer and are very informative and the expertise in their field is second to none!! It's very rare now a days to find a company like this. A true gem!!! I wish I could give Shawn a 6 star rating! Really thorough, professional and knowledgeable. Also understands that price is a huge factor in building a motor. Shawn was very helpful in making cost effective suggestions and was patient with my stupid questions. GREAT value for my money and a totally pleasant experience. Stopped by with an off the wall request. Needed to think outside the box to solve a problem with a Cuisinart processor. I couldn't get the sleeve installed on the motor shaft. They were able to use a press to press the sleeve down!!They were laughing about it and they got the job done in 5 minutes.Now, don't get the idea that's what they do, they are a highly rated engine build shop.... And judging by the motors I saw in various stages of build, they are very good!! Please don't bring your food processors by for repair!! Grins.Thank you, guys! You did good! My better half was happy.

I can not say enough about Shawn's shop, I had to rebuild my 4.6 out of my 08 Mustang and before I picked this shop I went to several other shops and this one was what a engine machine shop should be (BTW I am a machinist and I know what to look for in shops). From the very first conversation about what I want to do and where I want to be in the future with this engine Shawn was honest with me. In the regards of "man I would not waste my money doing that" to great recommendations on what to do. I will admit somethings I was bummed about because I had my mind set on certain parts, but at the end everything exceeded my expectations and came in under budget. In summary awesome job and experience!Thanks Shawn

Shawn and the boys are the best. Took him our 340 Challenger block and it was cracked and junk. He found us another block, even the correct year which was unbelievable since they're so rare and it was priced right. Everyone at Kelly's is top tier, friendly and cares about their craft. The quality of the work coming out of this place is second to none in the valley and I would highly recommend bringing your business here.For me, they took care of my 90s bmw cylinder head without issue and were highly knowledgeable about the specific part I brought them. Stopped in to have a thread drilled I to some custom air cleaner bolts; guys were quick to take care of me and gave me a fair price. Owner seems like a cool guy; noticed he cares about the local community sponsoring little league teams which is pretty cool

Awesome experience, I am rebuilding my 77 F-150 with one of my sons and brought the head in for some work. Any machine work in the future will be done by Kelley s as they are the best in the business.

I went to Kelley's with high hopes based on the many positive reviews here, however my experience wasn't so great. They are a very busy shop with a large backlog of work, which may be part of the problem. Shawn seems like a nice guy and all, but he has way too much going on to really serve his customers well. Words don't mean much when you don't deliver.The place was a total mess and Shawn was reluctant to put anything in writing, not even offering a receipt for the engine parts I dropped off, so I asked for a printed quote for the work we agreed on. He seemed reluctant but did provide a print out.It took a couple of months to get some basic machine work done, and I had to call several times to make sure that it would happen, in fact Shawn told me I had to keep calling if I wanted them to keep on it.When the time came to pick up my engine I found that additional work had been done that we hadn't discussed or agreed on. My original printed quote was $825, but the final bill was $1365, a substantial difference. I can understand overages but nearly double is ridiculous. Shawn's explanation was that they always do the other procedures for the car dealers they work with. Making excuses after the fact is not properly serving the customer.I am not a mechanic by trade, but a retired person working on my own automotive project. It would have been nice, especially for the money, to feel like the shop was a partner in my project. However, you won t get that kind of help here, at least I didn't. The machine work was satisfactory in the end so the shop guys seem to do good work. However, the total experience was poor in my view and I won't be using them again.

I was in the process of trying to find a machine shop I could trust to do the machine work on my engine as not many shops like to mess with Ford 4v Modmotors. I cant tell you how many places I had called and talked too. I ended up finding Kelly s Machine Shop on google and was impressed by the good reviews so i went ahead and met with Shawn for a quote etc. I ended up dropping my engine off the same day because of how good the customer service and professionalism really was. They did an amazing job on it and the car runs beautifully, Ive got 145 miles on it so far (still in the break in period) and have had no problems. Ted, Shawn, and Scott did awesome and if I ever need more work done they ll be the ones I call. Prices are extremely fair, service is great, and the quality of the work was amazing. Thank you guys!!!

Absolutely the best! I took my flywheel in to resurface, not only did they do that, they also resurfaced and made all my bolts shiny. They've been around for a long time for a reason!

Kelley's rebuilt my old-original Chevy 400. Excellent response, service, quality & pricing. The care they put into the routine work is phenomenal. All tolerances excellent and the old 400 is up to OEM specs or better. Runs even better than original with balancing. Good for another 44 years !Shawn & his crew just finished my second engine this summer. Again, all was great, so easy to put together. All tolerances right on, feel like I'm wasting my time checking tolerances and fit. The care they put into my old, routine, ordinary engines is phenomenal !

Shawn has done good work for me on 2 occasions. Great guy, great work. Highly recommendedWent back a 3rd time and had Shawn rebuild me a head for a 3RZ, well the two heads I brought him were both cracked and unusable. Shawn was able to find a new cast head, rebuild it and sell it to me for a reasonable price. It's been over a year since the head was done and while the truck has some issues, none are related to the cylinder head Shawn and his team put together. Thanks again for the good work!
