Great experience at Desert Rat on Bell Road! AEV suspension lift and 35 inch tires installed on 2021 JL. Sales team and installers are top notch. Very pleased with experience and the Jeep looks great! Highly recommend this shop!

Amazing service! After talking with many other places it was easy to choose Desert Rat after speaking with John. He totally helped me through the whole complex process of buying tire and wheels and all the extras I was looking for! I would definitely recommend this place due to the knowledgeable and friendly service I received!

Desert Rat is amazing. John & Troy are very professional and kind they help you find what you are looking for to boost the look on your vehicle. Had a bumper ordered, it came out looking awesome. I am very pleased with the work from Desert Rat on Bell. It's definitely a 10 star rating. Thank you.. Highly recommend

Spoke with Chris at Desert Rat, Chris was very helpful setting up my new 4runner with a suspension, tires and wheels without up selling. Chris did a great job with matching ride and function to exactly how I wanted at reasonable cost. My 4runner rides great on and off road. Very happy.

I was going to this shop in the beginning, right after I bought my Jeep and had some repairs needed and modifications...they installed new differential covers, while they did that they inspected the axle, Everything was fine until they told me I needed almost $1000 in repairs to my axle, new ring and pinion plus labor etc.. I decided to have a second opinion, that's when I found out that everything was fine except that they disconnected my axle locker and bent the pin inside, I was in the trail and my axle lock didn't work! The other shop told me nothing else was bad as they had told me. Other than that, their staff was very friendly, unfortunately this incident has really had me reconsider any work there in the future. The name say's it all.. Desert Rats!!

I had lift installed. Took two days longer than expected. Then I asked for my replaced parts back they were not in my truck. they said they forgot. I went back to get them & I needed some help on a tire rub now that my tires were installed. Spoke with Brian he never called me back after two separate conversations with him. I called back got him on the phone then he left me old Hold & never came back. Horrible service I hope the owners see this I would be glad to speak with them. I was trying to get my truck back in to give them more money but I guess they don't need more money. I called the Lift shop right around the corner & is doing the same work I needed for 25% less! Bad shop all around.

I dealt with Chris at the East Bell Rd location who is now at the 19th Ave store 2 years ago and was very helpful educating me on winches and the installation was clean and well priced. I came back last week and dealt with Bill again at the Bell road store where I brought in my own shock absorbers. Labor again was fairly priced, kept me posted with updates and again a nice clean install. Extremely satisfied! These guys are fantastic!

Had truck lifted 4" with new rims and Toyo tires. Took a little longer than expected but well worth it. John was great to deal with. Truck drivers amazing, like new.

Bought a set of SPC upper control arms for my 4Runner about 8 months ago from desert rat and unfortunately had the bushings and ball joints fail prematurely, but was able to get them warrantied with zero hassle. Jason was awesome to work with and you can tell he truly cares about providing top notch customer service. Jason you are the man! Thank you! Desert Rat off road will definitely be keeping my business and go to for off road parts from now on!

Honest sales, great prices and quality repairs. Took my Tacoma in for new shocks. They were not able to get my shocks in for a few months due to shortages. They allowed me to get my own shocks and bring them in. They made an appointment but called for an earlier appointment. I asked to have the front end looked at to see if any other repairs were needed. There was an opportunity for a ripoff, but they said everything was good and tight. Another shop wanted $2,000 to replace my shocks, I got the Bilstein shocks for $300 on Amazon, Desert Rat charged $300 to install the shocks and $100 for the front end alignment. What a deal. My Tacoma sits higher and drives so much smoother. They have a customer for life.

I can say without a doubt that everyone who has given desert rat a 1 star review is someone who doesn't know how to take accountability for their own mistakes. Desert rat's staff is very professional, and will not hesitate to answer any questions HONESTLY you may have prior or after installation. They will also warn you if anying youre planning on doing might not be a good idea and will offer alternatives. They did a great alignment twice on my 97 grand cherokee when other lift/offroad shops turned it away because of the complicated steering setup it had. I will not hesitate to bring my new projects in for alignments or any type of work in general.

I can highly recommend visiting Desert Rat on Bell Road. Chris is very knowledgeable and always explains my options very well. Pricing is competitive with online shopping, except I get a real person to speak with! The upgrades were installed professionally by Eric. I had some other minor concerns unrelated to my upgrades that Eric took the time to troubleshoot and found solutions for them. I have been a customer of Chris for over a year, and will continue to be a customer because of his customer service and Eric's quality installations.

Honestly the best place to work on your Toyota!! Jason and the others are so friendly and so honest!! I've taken my 2000 Toyota 4 runner to them for major repairs and they always are able to fix all the problems. I recommend anyone with Toyotas to give them a try. They won't be disappointed. I'll never take my truck to anyone else!Thanks guys for a job well done!

I called and asked this shop if they did tire bead balancing. Jeremy said they did and asked my tire size to order up beads needed for upcoming appointment.Dropped the truck off to have tires bead balanced, picked it up after they were done.Charged me $200+ for cost of beads and balancing. Told me the bags may still need to break up in the tire, and my steering has too much play. Continued driving the truck seeing if the bags would break up, and had the steering checked by another reputable shop who installed it, confirmed no issues and play was normal for heim joints steering design. Figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt...Drove my truck, at 45mph you can feel out of balance tires, at 65mph plus my whole truck shakes extremely bad (like having a flat). The worst balance I've ever received in my life. I'm confident without any balancing my tires would of been more balanced...Called and explained, shop said it's my steering and the the tires are notorious for being out of balance. Keep in mind these tires were stick on weight balanced before and rode well. Told them I wanted it fixed, setup another appointment.Went into my appointment manager took no fault, and wanted to charge me $277 to redo the work. Why would I pay another $277 to have you redo work you failed to do the first time correctly? Manager/shop does not stand behind their work, extremely disappointed in their customer service.Update based on response:Treadwright makes high quality full retreads, and they do offer balancing replacement if the tire is over 12oz out of balance. The tires were static balanced prior, the only difference is Discount Tire balanced them and they drove well.I paid to have my tires bead balanced, never once did Jeremy not recommend bead balancing for my application. Only when I was signing your "no warranty" invoice, did you raise concerns about my recycled tires, steering, and bead balancing under a 40" tire.If you balance a customers tires. Drive said vehicle and it drives poorly. Are the tires balanced or you just give it back to the customer and have them sign a no warranty invoice? I'm just curious how this scam works

Descent selection, as always good service, guy seamed to know what he was talking about. Didn't make a purchase due to not having what I was looking for. Had other options to choose from but I was restricted on what I could use for the particular application on a motorhome but they did try to help!

These guys are the best in the Valley. I have called around to other offroad shops and nobody else is as informative as Desert Rat. Their pricing is better than all the other shops and as good or better than the deals I have found online. That is a big because I shop online hard.

would never go back!!!!! Firstly ive spent a lot of money at this place. Went and had a Magnum bumper installed about a year ago on my diesel truck. During the installation they scratched and dented the fender. They had it removed only after I assured them that it was there doing. Today driving down the road Iplayfully bumped my friends truck doing like a half a mile an hour and the whole bumper shifted down because the bolts were not installed correctly. Went back to them telling them I was embarrassed driving my truck like this. They told me they could try and get me in during the week that they were busy...THERE PARKING LOT WAS EMPTY!! BUSY?? To busy to help a customer that was about to spend another couple thousand after they fixed it on a rear bumper and lights. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

The staff is courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me track down a new shock bushing that was difficult to locate. Most places, just wanted to sell me an unneeded replacement shock.

Took about 20 minutes to get ahold of someone on the phone to warranty hubs then when I get to the store they said they're swamped but 5 people standing behind the counter chatting this was a few days prior, anyways I tried to warranty my warn hubs today because warn told me the retailer should handle that I go to find out desert rats refused to warranty the warn hubs because they don't want to lose money and they need to be shipped to warn for warranty... so I got my invoice and left, I won't be spending any money here if they can't honor warranties that the manufactre stated to do in store.. edit shortly after I left the store I was called back and told that they do indeed warranty the warn hubs in store and came back the next day to get my replacements.
