Alternator stranded me in my Honda pilot parts stores were out of stock. I got a ride over to Copperstate they had one in stock. Swapped it out was back on the road in no time. Runing good for about 6 months now no issues.

Dave was the very patient with my uncle over the phone when he was asking questions on purchasing and alternator for my aunt's 2014 Kia soul. We reserved the alternator and had another family member pick it up for us. What was surprising to us is Dave used our call back number and let us know when our person arrived to purchase the alternator. This was the best customer service experience I've had in a long time with various company's. I will definitely be recommended copperstate to other family members and friends. The customer service offered by Juan at Copperstate is nothing short of amazing! I had a very unique starter off of a tractor that the dealer wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for. I spoke to Juan and he told me to ship it to them so I did. I am very glad that I did because he was able to find me an identical, new starter at a fraction of the price and the kicker is that I mailed my starter to him yesterday and he is already mailing me back the new one today! Amazon can't even match that! Great job Juan and Copperstate! Keep up the good work!

I'd been looking for a new or rebuilt alternator for an older FJ 60 and wasn't able to find one anywhere. Copperstate was super fast, had very reasonable pricing and was very easy to work with. I wish that I had just gone to them at the beginning! 11/10 would recommend working with them in the future.

I had purchased a High Output alternator from Copperstate just about a year ago for my 1968 Bronco, the alternator quit working 3 days before the warranty expires. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and Juan helped me out with exchanging for a new alternator. I can truly say that the customer service was beyond great, I have made purchases all over the valley, but Copperstate is number ONE for customer service and treating customers with honesty and respect. Purchased the Pure Power High output 250 amp alternator from them. I appreciate the honesty of the gentleman I spoke with through phone as he did not recomend to me purchasing the wiring kit as my SUV is 100% stock. In comparison of the reman alternator sold at the dealerships for my vehicle, the price is the same but the the Pure power has 2 year warranty vs 1 year from the dealerships and it is a good upgrade from a stock 130 amp alternator. My mechanic is also impressed by the build quality of the alternator and it looks brand new. Let's see how it will hold up through the years of use and I'll give an update. But as for now, I am very satisfied.Service: Electrical

They do not honor warranties, the guy at counter accused my mechanic of breaking the alternator just so they don't have to honor the warranty. The sad part is yes people do take advantage & other people's actions reflected on us. We did nothing malicious we just wanted our warranty honored!!In regards to Copperstate ResponseIf it was improper installation it would not have lasted this long 10 months, it literally broke in front of another witness, not due to our fault. Things malfunction & break & at the end of the day nothing was offered to resolve the issue, we simply got a "Sorry I can't help you, bye!" Very unprofessional!Service: Air conditioning

I am now a faithful customer and highly recommend Copperstate Alternator & Starter. After I purchased an alternator from the Tucson store to be shipped, they did me the courtesy of calling me to tell me the Phoenix store had it in stock. That saved me waiting an entire weekend to fix my vehicle, and they refunded me for the shipping I had paid for.It's difficult being a woman who works on their car sometimes when dealing with the auto industry. But I was not talked down to, or treated ant differently by the gentlemen at Copperstate. They were helpful, kind, and genuinely good people! I hope I don't need to replace my alternator again anytime soon, but when I do, this will always be where I do business.

This place is GREAT! I was searching for an alternator for my 2008 BMW online and couldn t find a better deal anywhere. I ordered my last alternator on amazon and it failed within 5 months! These people beat amazons prices by over 30% for a better quality alternator. You will NOT regret doing business with this friendly staff and low prices!

I purchased a project vehicle with a starter that had been rebuilt by this place not long ago. The starter had a tag on it with their phone number and had never been used since being rebuilt. I got the vehicle running but the starter failed within a couple of days...it has a dead short internally. I called and asked if there was any chance they would stand behind their work or at least work with me, as while I was not the original purchaser, all symptoms pointed to an issue with the work performed as the failure was almost immediate once put into service. They told me in no uncertain terms that they would not. I wasn't expecting a full warranty but the rudeness of the representative and the unwillingness to stand behind their work sent me elsewhere. Instead of using an unfortunate circumstance as an opportunity to gain a loyal customer they made an enemy instead. There are too many far more reputable starter and alternator places in the valley to have the attitude and lack of customer service I received from Copperstate. Go elsewhere.

I bought the 2004 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L 8 Cyl Alternator Custom Built; 250 Amps; PCM controlled. Very nice alternator fits perfectly in my 2004 mercury grand marquis. They didn't offer a 2004 mercury grand marquis model put the only difference is the pigtail connector on the vehicle simple switch of the pig tail on the main harness with the help of a wire diagram and it was successful installed. O/1 ofc wire kit was already installed and batteries charged to 13.9 before starting. And my voltage at start and during music pauses is a strong 14.2 volts. Amazing!!!!!!!! And buying a gates belt 1/2 in shorter is easy to find as well. Over all very happy with my alternator purchase. If someone is debating on getting an high output alternator go for it with copperstate alternator shipping was quick as well actually arrived early.

I was having trouble finding a quality alternator for a 2006 Hyundai Tucson, and they really came through for me. Fantastic prices and they were very friendly! Core exchange charge was super reasonable! I cannot recommend these guys enough! Def gonna reuse them for all my alternator/starter needs from now on!

This review is for two alternator purchases.I like doing business with Copperstate. They offer great value and a lifetime warranty. I have purchased alternators for both of my vehicles. One vehicle, a Lexus, the alternator is difficult to get to and takes a number of hours to pull it out from the bottom of the engine compartment to replace. The other vehicle is a truck and the alternator is right on top and can be replaced in about 15 minutes. This makes a difference when making a buying decision. The alternator purchased for my truck was a decent price and a lifetime warranty replacement and performs satisfactorily with an output of about 14 volts. The unit installed on my truck only has about 3,000 miles on it. As I stated it's only about a 15 minute job to remove and replace the alternator when it eventually fails.My car is a different story. I purchased the alternator 30,000 mi ago and not only did it fail but it literally burned up on the inside and shorted out and ruined the battery as well. To make matters worse I did not have the time to be able to do the diagnostic and replacement myself so I had to resort to paying a shop to do the repairs which was right around $900 including a battery. The original Denso OEM alternator lasted for 75,000 miles. This lifetime replacement from Copperstate lasted just over 30,000 miles. By this measure I would have to pay for a shop to replace the Copperstate unit twice whereas an original OEM is expected to last a minimum of 70,000 miles.In conclusion, if you have a vehicle who's alternator is either expensive labor wise or time consuming to do it yourself to replace and you're going to keep the vehicle I would recommend purchasing a certified OEM replacement for a little extra money. If you have a vehicle whose alternator is a simple do-it-yourself job or a relatively simple remove and replace for a shop then I would recommend the copper State products due to their value and lifetime warranty. I cannot say whether the longevity can be expected beyond 30,000 miles or not. This is just my experience. I will however keep using the lifetime replacement for my truck as it is an easy job when the unit needs to be replaced. For my Lexus I opted to purchase an official OEM denso unit as they are what is installed at the dealership and the longevity is expected to be considerably longer based on my experience and likely reducing costs in the long run.

Stopped by the other day and Juan Cardoza really helped me out with a new Alternator. I ended up showing up to the shop a little later than what I had said when I first called and Juan was going to call me to say he would stay open a bit longer after closing time just so I could make it and get the part I needed. He was extremely professional and kind. Since I brought my old alternator he even took his time to make sure the new one I got was the right one by comparing the two. If I find myself ever needing more parts Hopefully Juan Is the guy that end ups helping again!! Juan, you rock and thanks again!!! All the Blessings to you and yours!!

Dropped starter off and explained slow crank and dead spot. Told 10 days and $89 for labor alone. No invoice just verbal confirmation that they'll call when complete.Strange.Picked up starter and thought it looked AMAZING! After $140 I was hopeful.Installed on race car and immediately there was an issue. Cranked but still slow. Massive current draw which impacted crank signal. Thought it was cables so I ordered $150 worth of shielded cables but no change.Took car 1800 miles across country to have starter "click" with the same dead spot.In need, I purchased a O'Reillys remanufactured for $95. Results? Spun like an animal. No crank sensor issues.Called Copperstate and spoke to Danny who was less than interested or organized. Asked for the owner "Steve" to give me a call.Waiting for resolution.Buyer beware.

Searched all over town for an alternator for an industrial sweeper. After no luck, I started looking up rebuilds and came across Copperstate. Spoke to Dan over the phone and after a couple part numbers later, he had what I needed in stock and for half the price of what I found online. Highly recommend these guys!

Purchased an alternator here July 2021 for 150$, took the alternator back today due to it not charging the battery Dan the manager said the alternator voids the warranty since it got wet which is irrelevant since the alternator sits outside of the engine and just driving through the rain would cause it to get wet, Dan said it was oil substance , the alternator was 100% dry when it was removed from the car. Save your money and purchase it at Autozone for about 20$ more where the warranty actually has your covered and has your back.

Ran into an alternator bind and these guys saved me! Spoke to Juan on the phone, he was kind and informative. Alternator was budget friendly, came with a 1 year warranty, and service was GREAT! Well worth the drive :) I'll be calling Juan should I ever need another alternator!!

Bought an alternator from them because I thought it was a great price. Biggest mistake ever! The alternator did not charge the battery. Took it back and they claimed that it worked. Installed the piece again and it still was not functioning. Took it to the mechanic and he said that it was the alternator all along. Ended up paying for labor+new alternator+they would not give my money and/or core back. Cost me way more than it should have for dealing with a shady company. *zero stars* DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ordered a Starter from this company online. Price was $95 and all the information was detailed to what they where selling it for online. Come to find out, it was brought to my attention that the starter I was purchasing online was not the right price, information, and picture. I asked them to honor the price online. The owners response was NO. A $20 dollar difference. 24 hours later they updated their website. It is sad to point out mistakes, which do happen, but proof read and check your items before you post them. Another thing is if you truly want peoples business and loyalty at least admit it was a mistake and give them the price which was posted. Strongly recommend not going to this business
