Shift assembly replaced and routine oil change. I brought car in by 8:30am on a Friday and it was done by 3pm and for price quoted! Jim very honest and straightforward pricing, process and all done before the end of the day! I have been coming here for the last few years. It is so hard to fin honest mechanics. They always find the problem and have the lowest prices by far in town and i ve compared them to the dealerships and others.They try to work with your schedule. Jim did my full pump. Work was done in one day which was great and alot cheaper. I was very satisfied. Gave him a 100 dollar tip.

Jim knows his mechanic skills and operates a laid back, stress free atmosphere . Don't assume a quick fix is in order here Jim is very thorough and makes sure that parts are correct and custom matched to perfectly fit your vehicle avoiding premature wear and service calls. .

I ve gone up here a couple times now for some repairs on my vehicle, and my wife s vehicle. Jim is great and gave me a very fair price and got our vehicles done exactly when he said he would. I feel he is very honest and fair and I will definitely recommend this shop to others.

Jim is has worked on our cars (Ford & VW) for years and kept them both running. He's always fair and he's a diamond in the rough when searching throught the endless mire of tripwires when looking for an honest car repair service. I can not say enough good things about CBS Auto Repair and Jim. The prices he quotes you, are the prices he charges you. He goes above and beyond. Jim will work with you to ensure your car gets fixed and give you a warranty as well. I recommend CBS Auto Repair to anyone ins the Phoenix area. He has a lifelong customer in me. Thank you so much, Jim. You are the best. PS. and ladies, he got you. so you don't feel like you are being taken advantage of... like the dealer does..Used Jim again to fix my daughters car with no AC. After a thourough inspection Jim found and fixed all the problems with the AC. It cost more than I expected... but not as much as the dealer. Just wanted to update my review. I just want to thank Jim and his staff for their hard work. I really appreciate Jim for his commitment to quality service for an reasonable price. He has helped maintain my truck for several years now as well as my mothers vehicles. It almost feels like he cares that my truck is running well just as much as I do. I now consider him a family friend and will continue to bring my truck in for service.

Ask for Jim the owner it's been my mechanic for several years he always does a great job prices are fair and it doesn't screw you additional works it doesn't need to be done

I have been to many shops around the valley and this place felt like home from day 1! They are very trustworthy and do great work. I know nothing about cars and trust that they will give me an honest opinion of what is a priority and what is not. Ive even brought my car in just for peace of mind. Talk about great service here - great prices as well - in comparison to other places - I am a bargain shopper!! Highly recommended!

Went there on a recommendation, I'm a retired mechanic but did not have the time with my current work schedule to replace starter on daughters car. Took car there I had already bought the parts. Was told 230 dollars for job. Was a little high on price but didn't argue. I also asked to have pressure check on engine done prior to install because of suspicion that edge had a bad head or gasket. Was told job would be done next day. 2 days later after no call I stopped in, car still sitting in same place. This went on for approximately 5 weeks or more. I eventually called told the I was picking car up next day don't do the work. I showed up to pick car up, Jim has it in the shop up on the lift. Said it would be done in the morning. I was mad. I left 3 days later I get call car is ready but won't start. I ask if he did the pressure check to see if head was leaking or if engine was locked up. He says no, but will do that. A couple days later he calls and says heads are both bad there leaking water. He gives me price of 3500 to fix. I laughed. I went down there to get car and he wants 650

I brought my car in with many computer and check-engine-light problems because I needed to get it to pass emissions testing. They used their computer-diagnostic scanner the moment I arrived to know exactly what needed to be done. They said they would have it ready the same day. Not only did they keep their promise and have it completed the same day, they fixed every issue at a fair price so that it now runs like a dream, and my car passed emissions testing that same day. They kept their word and gave me peace of mind driving my car now! I'll definitely use them again!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I have recently had the pleasure of doing business with CBS Auto Repair. I would highly recommend this auto repair shop !! They are honest and do fantastic work. I had them work on my Mercedes S550 and they did a great job !! My daughter had her car worked on and was completely satisfied. My brother has taken two different cars to this shop and again was extremely pleased. Jim the owner is both honest and caring. If you are in need of good honest mechanics, go here !!

God bless Jim and his crew of mechanics, they saved our van from the scrapyard the price was hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other shops. The work was done right the first time. No one tried to sell us anything extra , I will continue to preach the gospel of CBS auto, and recommend them to anyone who is in need of a mechanic. Thank you so much CBS for keeping me on the road

I have been using them for the past 10 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else! They have ALWAYS called me back when they told they would and always gave me a good deal on repairs. As for getting my car back looking like s***, I have NEVER seen or had that happen. Jim is great and personable and always willing to work with me and my situation! Thanks guys, you're GREAT!

I have a BMW 2014 328i I took in for service. I thought I should check around as the BMW Dealer off Camelback Rd quoted me 1400 for the front and rear brake replacement pads that included new rotors on that price, plus Id have to ad tax on that so Id be around 1500.00. I went to CBS Auto Repair. I got this entire brake job done for 575$!!!!!!!!. These brakes are awesome!! and smooth to the touch when I brake. I'm so happy I got a second opinion as CBS Auto Repair saved me 925$!!!!!!. There was a guy named Jim who works there, he was super nice. There is a little table where I sat and waited, and around lunch time, he had a driver drop me off at a local eatery called Mothers, the food was awesome and they picked me up when I was done eating lunch and drove me back to the shop. I would highly recommend this place, their prices are really in-line super fair!!!. This shop is 100% honest, no need to look any further if you need any car work done, its worth the drive hands down!!

My husband and I have both had really great experiences with Jim and Cbs auto. Our friend recommended him and we had been going to 19th Ave. garage which good but is incredibly expensive. He fixed a doorlock issue for very cheap and on my rouge he honored the price he quoted me even though he ended up having to pay much more than he thought. There are always so many cars there but don t be discouraged give him a call he will be glad you did it :-)

They are a busy shop, part of that is due to great word-of-mouth business and part of that is due to them wanting to do the job right. They replaced my transmission. It took them about 3 weeks, but I believe that they did good & honest work and that's what was most important to me. Each time the estimated completion date was pushed back, I actually felt more confident that I was dealing with an honest shop and that they wanted to do the job right instead of just making money or having good numbers to show a corporate office. Because it took longer than expected, they offered me a loaner car and other things to make it right.

Jim is a great guy. Trustworthy and very knowledgeable. If he doesn't know the answer to your automotive problem, he knows where to send you. Or if he isn't an expert in what you want done, he knows who is and can refer you. He is priced right and always does quality work.

I have a 2017 Honda Civic Touring Model. I went to my Honda Dealer and they wanted over 200 for an oil change and air filter replacement. I thought this was high so I got a quote from Jim at CBS Auto off 19th ave. Jim DID THE SAME SERVICE FOR 60$ AND CHECKED OUT MY CAR. FAST SERVICE! Went there to get my power steering fluid leak fixed a couple of months ago and ended up having other repaires done also. I paid about $1000 at the time. Few weeks after the service, my power steering fluid continued leaking and had to take it back to him. He said he replaced the part saying that the part has a warranty and didn't have to pay at this time. Unfortunately, my power steering run out of fluid again because it all leaked. I went back to him again and he told me there is acually another part that needs to be replaced that cost $950. This is beyond emagination!!!! I genuinely wanted an explanation on how on earth i paid for diagnoses and service and have the same issue over and over again. He caudn't provide adequate answer apart from asking for more money. Extremely disappointed would be an understatement to the service I had with them!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been going to this shop since 1995, two cars and three owners. They've always been honest with me, have always been satisfied with their work and charged fair prices. I am confident when I drive my car that it has been very well maintained. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

I am a single woman so I hate taking my car to the mechanic on my own, for fear of being taken advantage of. But they are ver honesty and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. Very reasonably priced and Great Customer service. Been going to them for about 4 years now.

Went in for "break light staying on after car is turned off". They spent 15-30 minutes trying to attach a clip then tried to dump an $85 charge on me for no parts & 15 minutes of them trying to attach the clip. They ended up saying $40 for labor plus $15 for figuring out the problem. A few months later the problem still exists and when I went in to follow up on it they want to charge me again. No way can I trust these guys. Avoid this place, they'll just try to rip you off.
