Absolutely love my Baer 6P setup on my '71 Camaro. It was such a quick and simple swap with them being offered on a modified stock spindle and the braking performance is insane. I have two Power Tours and tons of spirited driving miles on my Baer setup and they have performed flawlessly with everything I've thrown at them. I'd highly recommend a set for anybody wanting to update their classic with modern braking.

I worked with Baer to design the complete braking system to make sure my lines, booster, master, calipers etc were all correctly selected to work together. The system performs excellent. Every project I build has a set of Baer Brakes. Their quality is second to non, customer service is top notch and they get you the right parts.

I purchased the SS4 system for my 69 Chevelle. After about 300 miles the brakes began to squeal and the rear calipers started sticking. I contacted customer service and they advised me to remove the "pressure blocks" on the rear calipers and that would cure the sticking problem, they also sent me different pads to replace the ones that came with the system. I put another 200 miles on it and then the front calipers started to hang up and began to squeal again. I went through them again and ordered some Hawk performance pads thinking that may help....No! I again contacted customer service and they suggested I remove the calipers and bring them in for inspection at the same time insisting "We never have issues with these brakes". So I proceeded to remove the calipers and in doing so found the right front caliper would not release willingly. I sent them in for inspection, they resealed all of them and told me they found nothing wrong with them. I reinstalled them with another newly designed pad they gave me and added some more miles. (Why another new design if there is nothing wrong with the old ones?) Of course after another 300 miles + or - they began to hang up and start squealing AGAIN. Now I have about $6k in parts and labor invested in a $2500 set of brakes. Another call to Rick at BAER to advise him that I am done with these brakes and asked him what kind of resolution we can come to? He advised me that he would have to talk to the other Rick and that he was out of town until next week. Called him back next week, "He will be back tomorrow but he's going to be extremely busy being out for a week". I guess after 2 years and 15+ calls to customer service, whats another week?Well BAER brakes are coming out and WILWOOD are going in. Maybe they could just refund me for the brakes and I'll only be out $3500? Not holding my breath!I wouldn't recommend these brakes to anyone! Great looking brakes though. Who says you can't polish a turd?

If I can give them no stars I would base them the fact that no one asks the phone or return to emails after making numerous purchases to their company.
