They say third time s the charm, and that was definitely the case here. I had a check engine light pop on in my car. I went to two other places before this and was told dramatically different things with dramatically different quotes about what it would take to fix it. I decided to get a third opinion and came to AutoTech after a recommendation. With an abundance of knowledge, experience, and good sense, Gerard thoroughly checked out my vehicle. He quickly identified the correct issue (which turned out to be silly, minor, and easy to fix) and resolved it. He was a consummate professional and was beyond helpful. Truly excellent service for a fair price, and I would absolutely recommend this place over a chain any day of the week if you need something done right.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

Gerard is a real pro mechanic, fair, honest, fast, and most of all trustworthy. Recently he was able to help repair my car and also confirmed my suspicions of another shop NOT doing the work I paid them for. I cannot recommend him enough and will not take my vehicles anywhere else. If you want a job done right and worth your time an money, no need to go anywhere else besides Autotech Transmissions.

I called here on 3/13/2019 after calling and getting quotes from another transmission shop in the area. The owner picked up the parts for the job as soon as I called and made time for me same day; put that in perspective with the other shop who gave me their soonest availability as a week and whose quote was $100 more expensive! Gerard, the lead mechanic and owner I think, found a large dent in the transmission s pan, sent me a picture of it, and beat the dent out all for free. I m certain the other shop would not have given me the same level of service. All this work was done on a 2000 Mercury, in under an hour. By far a better experience than I could have asked for, for a price that I was very comfortable with.

Thank you Gerard for the help you gave me yesterdsy, taking the time to explain the situation with my car and was honest about the entire situation, it caused me to make a decision i didn't think was possible. It's not everyday you're told the fix isn't worth the money, but referred me to trade my car. And now, I'm walking out with a better car and with a better hope on the cars lifespan.

I took my Volkswagen Routan van to this shop over a year ago because it needed the transmission repaired. I decided to take it here because the price was fair and Gerard gave me 3 year warranty. Although Gerard is friendly and responds quickly my van still not working. The transmission was rebuilt but the van is still not working. I took it back two or three times and after a few weeks the van stop working again. The situation has been very stressful after wasting so much money and still has the exact same problem. My van has now been parked in a garage for about 3 months. All I want is for my van to work properly or get my money back.Response to owner:Gerard I appreciate your quick response. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know the right terms but what I do know is that the van has the same exact symptoms and problem from when I first took it to your shop. The transmission still doesn't shift after the second or third gear. That is the same exact issue why I took to your shop in the first place. It is not fair to say that the transmission is doing the exact same thing but because of a different reason now. That is total bs. The reason I haven't taken it back is because you have to understand how frustrating it is for me to take it back to the same shop 3 times and come out with the same results. This is my first review I have ever left for any company, but I'm doing it because it is a legitimate complaint. It is not because "food tasted bad" or "bad customer service" like any other review, it is because I've spent over $2,000 and my van still not working. I will take my van with you back in the next few days, if it gets fixed or I get my money back, I will gladly update this review. Thank you

I am very happy that I found this shop back around 2011 when it was located in Scottsdale. As of May 2017 I have been there 3 times with 3 different vehicles and have had a good experience every time. Located in Phoenix now but worth the drive from the east valley. Very different from my past experiences at some other nightmare transmission shops.First difference is that my transmission wasn't just swapped for one that had already been rebuilt. They took mine apart and assessed it. The good part about this is they were able to tell me why it went bad in the first place. Had they just swapped it I would have just ran into the same problem I had before.Second difference was communication. Before starting work my options and pricing were explained. And the fact that I was given options was a plus. They text me pics of what was found. I didn't have to wait days past the expected completion day like I have at other shops.Third difference is price. They are straight up. If something is expensive you will be told and given your options with actually accurate estimated prices.Fourth difference is the fact that I talked to the owner each time I called and he was the one doing all the actual work. Way different than my past experiences with other shops. I'd say worth the extra cost but it was actually less than other places.

Honest shop! I went there because my mechanic said the Transmission in my work truck had failed. Turns out the mount was broken and the U-joints needed replaced. They could have taken advantage of me, but instead they gained a loyal customer. Thanks Girard and Autotech Transmissions!John Durst

Gerard went above and beyond to help me out as someone from our of town driving through on a holiday when every other shop I called was closed. He was very kind and knowledgeable and helped me understand my transmission problem and explained my options.

3 things that are hard to find: a good mechanic, an honest mechanic, and a trustworthy mechanic. Rarely do you ever see 1 that's all 3. He found what I've been trying to look to fix. He easily could've taken advantage of my rattling noise but instead chose to tell me the actual problem. Instead of trying to profit from me, he chose to help me.100% recommended.

Best repairshop if you in or near Phoenix area. Honest person saved me hundreds if not thousand. If you need ny mechanic work or transmission work done! Bring your vehicle to this shop without worry about getting ripped off by others.

Disgusting place, they stole more than 4 thousand dollars from me, they changed my car's "new transmission" and before a year it was damaged and he told me it was my fault and he didn't want to validate the warranty. If you don't want to lose your money, don't come here.Asco de lugar me robaron mas de 4 mil d�lares me cambiaron nueva la transmisi�n de mi carro y antes de un a�o se da�o y me dijo que fue mi culpa y no quiso hacer valida la garant�a si no quieren perder su dinero no vengan aqu�
