Excellent Service, Extremely Helpful and Friendly. When I posted this back then I was extremely pleased with this AAMCO location. However, the second time I went I felt as if I was bothering them! I had to have my car towed to this location which cost me, then after the mechanic and owner looked at my car the owner had nothing good to say about it. The owner gave me an outrageous price to fix my car. When I told him that I didn't have that much the owner had the mechanic literally push my car outside of the gate then told me that I had to have my car moved off of the property, so I had to pay to have it towed back to my house. I'm not saying for no one to go there, just make sure you have money in hand.

Did a good job rebuilding my transmission. Fair credit options available. Took a while to aquire parts but that was due to what car I had.

In the age where honesty and integrity are memories of the past all I can say is thank you you are a light to humanity it's very rare to see someone that actually cares about the customer these days instead of just making money you could easily have not told me the information that you did when inspecting my Malibu and made 3 to 4000 no problem but instead you were honest and thorough and are a true human being I highly recommend your services to anybody experiencing transmission issues which can be an utter nightmare for anybody going through that problem thank you once again I wish you the best and if I need Services again I will definitely come see youService: Transmission

I m very happy with the service at this facility. Christmas Eve (on a Saturday) I was headed to my sons house and a cloud of white smoke poured out from under my car. It quit on me less than a Mike from this location. I put more fluid in and nursed it to there parking lot. Called them in on Monday they pulled my car in before the end of the day they had a quote for repairs. Some places might have taken the opportunity to get me for a rebuild, but they just told me what was wrong gave me reasonable price and a contact for financial assistance. I had my car back before the end of the week. I would highly recommend this location.

Possible psychotic owner Wendel, Wendal has no problem yelling, interrupting you, talking over you, and if he realizes he is losing the discussion will threaten to pick you up and throw you off his property. my mistake was believing in him initially, Extremes caution advised!How it started, Owner Wendel, and i spoke on phone, convinced me to have my car towed to his shop rather then pay $7,000 at brake masters at Metrocenter. You see, Wendall, sold me on the idea it might only be the front or back half of transmission, that a full replacement would cost significantly more. He could look at it and give me an answer on the same day. So i had the car towed there, i mean why not try to save some money. However, Wendel not only did not call me back as stated, but he did not look at my car that day. On the second day, thinking, he might have tried to call or missed me thought i would visit and check on the progress. However when i arrived at this business on north black canyon the place was closed even though it was suppose to be open at 8am. Since it was my day off, i ran my errands, and occasionally came back to this place of business only to find it still closed. Though out the day it never open.On the third day called, Wendell answered, asked if everything was ok and needless to say have never been insulted, interrupted, swore at, as well as threatened in one conversation to the level that this call manifested.Wendall is the kind of owner that completely dismisses and disregards his promises, and instead tells you are at fault because your here, he will yell, use profanities, threaten to pick you up and throw you off the property, if he senses he is losing the discussion, Oh yeah, he has two large German Shepard's that start to get excited more and more excited as Wendel yells and carries on. needless to say i had to leave, This man Wendall is a monster, BEWARE OF THIS PLACE In the end i had the car towed to another AAMCO on 51st ave.Service: Transmission

I brought my van in to get the AC checked almost two hours later, and they tell me it might be a leak, no absolute answer, I also have minor damage to the front of my car and when they brought out my van my headlight was dangling I had it ziptied and secured, but not only did they deny not doing it, but not wanting to do anything for it either. Especially taking responsibility for messing my stuff up. I asked for the owner, the guy tells me he'll get here when he get here, sometime later the owner comes up, this man was rude, I was trying to explain him what was wrong and he just made excuses as the women who was with him was trying to help he was just plain being rude, I only wanted what they messed up fixed and this man made it seem like I needed him to fix all my damages, this experience was horrible, not only will I not return here, but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Had my alternator changed. Brand new . 90 days later there is no warranty? If I had bought the parts at autozone it comes with an automatic warranty for a year on parts. I ll pay for the service. I get that I m paying for your time but you re telling me a brand new part didn t come with a warranty? On parts?! Seriously?! Filing a complaint with AAmco directly.

Accidentally drained transmission fluid instead of oil on Subaru Outback. These guys took care of me. owner was kind and thorough. Can t recommend this place enough if you have any transmission issue

Before going to this location, I read a bunch negative reviews. I thought I should avoid AAMCO especially at this location. However, I went there and took my 4runner for an inspection. My first encounter was with Monty. His customer service was excellent. When I was sitting there, I was thinking about a big bill and a list of items that needed to be fixed. In contrary to my perception based on the negative reviews, they were really honest about their work. Their offer for the repair was much more reasonable than many other repair shops in the area. They were quick to finish the work on my car...very professional. A big thank you to Monty and his mechanics.

If you are expecting to get phone calls from this place, you will be waiting forever because Monty doesn't make phone calls. You must call him if you want ANY information. My stepson's transmission went out in his car a month and a half ago. I called around to see who could install another one for the least amount of money and in the least amount of time. Monty told me he would do it for $1100.00 if I got him the transmission and he could do it immediately. He sent a tow truck to pick it up and I called him the next day to make sure he got it which he did. He told me he would check it out and get back with me. A week later I had heard nothing from him so I called him. He told me that he had a few cars ahead of us (contrary to what he had previously told me). About two weeks later I called again because I still hadn't heard from him. He told me he needed me to come to the shop to sign some paperwork giving him authorization to look at it (I had already given him verbal authorization to pull the transmission to see what was wrong with it). When he finally got the transmission pulled, I called him to see what was wrong with it. He told me that someone had taken out the wrong bolt and the transmission was trashed as a result. I drove over to look at it and he had given me information about the wrong transmission, (ours hadn't even been disassembled yet). It turned out that the transmission really was trash, but had not had the wrong bolt removed. (They never could tell me what was wrong with the transmission, I asked and was told "I don't know". I got him another transmission,as well as a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and flywheel (ours I was told had several cracks in it, (I found one crack) and was also told that the clutch was trash, but it still had LOTS of life left in it). A month and a half later, he finally got our car back together. He nickel and dimed me to death when it came to the installation and a bill that I was told would be no more than $1100.00 turned out to be $1550.00. When he made a copy of my stepson's drivers license, he forgot to give it back to him. Instead of taking 5 minutes out of his day to make a simple phone call to us to let us know about HIS mistake, he let my stepson think he had lost it until he finally decided to call over there and see if it was there. They did good work as far as we can tell, but customer service at this facility SUCKS!!!

I heard a rattling noise from under my 2002 hinda civic that's had me baffled. I wondered if its transmission or valves. I took it in for one of their free courtesy checks and to my delight they said loose exhaust. So nothing to major at this point. The gentleman there was very friendly and he didnt mind taking a min to talk to me even though i wasnt being charged for anything. Its great they perform this service! Better than paying 100 dollar diagnostic for something simple. Definitely a place I would take my car back to to have work done.

Wendel and his team are fabulous! A transmission warning light came on while driving over from San Diego, they did a detailed inspection and explained everything in detail allowing me to make an informed decision. I left there feeling reassured all was ok with car, and they did not charge me for their time. Totally trustworthy and highly recommend them for your mechanical needs.

I had my 2007 Corvette automatic transmission rebuilt at this location. It was completed within little over a week for a reasonable price. I am totally satisfied with the service, knowledge and courtesy which I experienced. Thank you Wendell for allowing your staff to talk to me and explain the issues on site.

Wendell is an incredible guy! He's positive and easy to talk to. When he explained the issue with my car, he made it easy to understand and answered all my questions.Chewy the store mascot dog greeted me at the door like a gentleman. He's a lovely German Shepherd Dog who's super sweet.

Feb 21: The owner, Wendel, is highly knowledgeable about transmissions and other car components. If he doesn't know something he is willing to spend whatever time it takes to get a difinitive answer. I originally met Wendel a couple of years ago after my wife's car's transmission imploded. It was previously rebuilt by a shop in St. Charles, MO that only offered a local warranty. We had it rebuilt then drove it to Phoenix (her job changed) and made it about sixty miles away. Wendell and company were able to quickly identity that the previous shop had installed the pressure plates backwards. I now come here for all maintenance and repairs. Also, Wendell has a German Shepherd dog, Chewy, who is a calm and happy dog. Come to get your car fixed and hang out with Chewy.March 21: Had front rear lower control arms, fuel pump, and a couple of headlights replaced. Hung out with Chewy... Love that furry guy.To amend my first review, almost all repairs, Wendel doesn't have a tire shop... So for tires & wheels, he is happy to give you a referral.

I have taken my wife's car here not for transmission issues but for overheating issues that I had been trying to fix myself for about a month with little success I took my wife's truck to them and they got it done with in 3 days mainly because they were super backed up this has to have been maybe last year some time but never the less I was having overheating problems with my car this time and yes I had been trying to fix it for the the past couple of weeks again with little success I brought it to the team here and they got it done with in the day like I was schocked how quickly they identified the issues and recommended a fix and applied it successfully the manager Wendel was great very very knowledgeable man and the team well they're experts in thire field very very happy with the service, time and most of all the cost and they have more than one way to pay, easy pay, snap or you can apply for there credit card. I will definitely be using them again and highly highly recommend them for anyone that is having car problems

The staff are very helpful! They offer a very good customer service experience, and their rates are very reasonable. This location has the most honest mechanics that I have ever met. I will definitely being going back to them for all of my car repair needs with my car and my wife's van.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUTO REPAIR FACILITY!!!

This location does not honor the appointment times set. Ive got a warranty on my AC unit which was over 2000.00 dollars. Now I having issues and my man took the car in for a 9am appt and he sat there for 2 hours when a older man came in 20mins after him and did not have an appointment and that man got serviced before my car!!! I called to find out why that happened and the guy Wendell dismissed me and hung up meanwhile my man witnessed all of this and said there wasn't a lot of people in front of him like he said. It was the guy that was helped before me only. Not to mention they've had my brother's car for 2mos and still haven't fixed it!! SMH. I've called and left multiple messages with the corporate office and only received a voicemail once. I've left more messages with the customer service Supervisor and he still hasn't called me. Meanwhile the location didn't even look at the issue. They looked at other stuff we weren't there for. I will never use Aamco again. I will use Mike's on Longview and Indian School. At least he is honest and fair at pricing who honors warranties.

Hunter and Wendell are awesome. I took my car in due to the check engine light being on. The repairs needed ended up being way more than I could afford. They had payment options and even when that didn't work they were able to get me all of the paperwork I needed to request a waiver thru the state. I turned out to be a very needy customer but they were awesome and helped me the entire time. Can't say thanks enough , I just found my new mechanic!

My experience here with the office manager Monty was EXCEPTIONAL!! Very Genuine and friendly place. What another mechanic at a different location diagnosed as a failed a/c compressor, Aamco diagnosed as a small pinched a/c wire that was very simple to fix. I put my trust in them and will continue to do so in the future. You truly can trust and feel comfortable with them.

I was referred to AAMCO after my transmission started to have problems. I had my transmission rebuilt and I could not have had a better experience. With the rebuild I received a warranty for parts and service and a free inspection after ten days to ensure everything was running smoothly. The staff were extremely friendly, communicated with me every step of the way and gave me multiple options to choose from for the rebuild at different price ranges. They made sure I understood what was wrong with my car and what to expect after it had been fixed.

Wendell is amazing!!! These guys are just simply the nicest people you will ever meet. They basically rebuilt my whole car for under 5k. The go the extra mile every time! Just today my car completely died and they stayed after hours just to look at it and get it fixed to have me back on the rode again! I love these guys like family and will only go here for all my car needs!

I did not have a good experience when I came to this particular shop located on Black canyon highway I'm not sure if it's a certain way other individuals get treated but my experience the times that I have been there has been very unsatisfying, the manager is rude when he is having a bad day but the way the work that is being done is unacceptable, and they charge for labor spent that was not devoted to fixing your vehicle. I had to file complaints on this shop but since the manager stated something different then my complaint was not valid because obviously the customer is not right. I read other other reviews stating that the manager and their experience was wonderful and I am grateful that they had that experience but in my case every time that I went there this was not the case I had to go to another shop to have a my car fixed after they stated that it was nothing that they can do after taking my money and not ornery their warranty. I was cursed out by the manager and called out my name over the phone I guess he figured that I was below the age of respect because he was upset for whatever was going on in his life. But I am old enough to have a audio file of the manager cursing me out and talking to me in a very disrespectful way when it came to me asking about a vehicle that was within his shop, if you have a good experience that is good for you enjoy your day

Great place. I will admit, the place at first glance looks shady and questionable. These are fair and honest people. My wife dropped her vehicle there and they spoke to her. They acknowledged I was there and listening. But they interacted with her. That was nice.

I had issues with my transmission and did what I could on my own to get the problem resolved. After failed attempts I decided to take it in to a professional shop, I was recommended to take it in to this particular shop by others that had great experiences. I could say that they we're right, AAMCO not only offered financing to help there customers out but the people that work in this location were great. They answer every question with respect and honesty and sis everything they could to help me. I will definitely recommend this auto shop, I will be using it from now on, and I live 1hr a way. Thank you Wendel and Christine for the great service you provide to everyone that comes in, and the technicians for taking their time to make sure our vehicles are safe to drive. Thank you!

Monty and the people at Armco did and amazing job fixing my wife s suburban. Was done fast and the quality is outstanding. They even helped find a loan to cover part of the cost. Would highly recommended them and I will continue to take my car there for any repairs

I went to AAMCO for the first time looking for affordable a/c service for my BMW. I experienced great customer service from Monty Richards, who is the manager. I was treated not like a customer, but a friend and they got right down to business on what my car needed. The problem was quickly diagnosed and corrected in a timely fashion and I left with my a/c blowing cold air once again. Oh.... and the price was not inflated due to the car being a BMW as well. Thank you AAMCO.
