Not very happy had one of my ecm's tuned once before. This time I took in my ecm for another vehicle. One tech was helpful the other was super stand offish. They took it in got it done in a fast manner. I took in a simple fan enable tune paid 350 bucks. Took it home plug and play fans don't come on. Troubleshot it found the ecm has no ground output for either of the fans. Im a mechanic myself for empire know what I'm doing. Deal with ecms all the time. Tried to call all day no call return. Would like to just get my money back. Sent in the ecm ups I hope it gets figured out. I'm not a person to complain at all but I paid top dollar for the service live hours away.

In August I had brought my 2012 Silverado that I built with my father to Mark. Because this was my father s first and last engine build (so I ve been told) I was very particular with who I trusted with it. Mark and his team were recommended by a friend that has had great experiences with them; now I can certainly say I ve also had a great experience with this team. Mark took the time to ensure the 6l80 transmission shift points were exactly how I wanted and did a great job with the engines tune profile. My 5.3 went from completely stock to supercharged, a cam, long tube headers and a triple disc lockup converter. It runs flawlessly and the idle is perfect. I am very pleased with Speed Sports, Mark and his team. I would trust them with any future builds. Thank you.

Greg and mark at Speed Sports were both great to deal with. After buying my first V8 sand rail I had a few issues with a brand new motor that another shop had just finished. They refused to warranty their work so I asked around and was recommended to SS. From the first chat to a completed car everything was great. They did every repair we talked about and when other issues came up they are prompt to call and ask if you like to get them done. The shop is like a clean room and tons of parts in stock as well. Brought another 360 sprint car engine to Mark for dyno and tune. Engine needed a lot of love but as usual Mark took the time to make sure everything was just perfect. Speed sports is a amazing place!! I took my 2017 Toyota Tundra for a supercharger install. And they did a amazing job! I ve had it back over a month now and I ve had no issues at all!!! I checked other places and I didn t get any response back or they were very unprofessional!! Speed sports treated me like family and kept up to date w everything they were doing!and they saved me money also. I high recommend this place for engine work or anything else u need!! Thx u again speed sports I ll be back!!!

After dealing with other shady shops I finally was recommended by a great racer to check out speed sports. They made my 67 Chevelle sounds fantastic, were very professional and well documented and by the cars in their garage you can tell they only do the best work. Thanks for making my six year project finally breath!

I took my engine in for dyno tuning. was told 1-2 weeks, on week 2 sorry it wont be done I'm goin to the races. I would avoid this place is word is worth nothing. He didn't even reassemble my engine. He doesn't even answer his phone.

PLEASE DO NOT GET SCREWED FROM THIS COMPANY. note that the 1st 7 reviews for this company are their own personal reviews. These fictitious accounts have activity, no friends, no other reviews and that's why they've been flagged by yelp. I so wish reviews on this company were available when I decided to do rebuild my engine because I wouldn't of got hosed like everyone else. Initially I was referred to this company by a friend of mine who now is completely unsatisfied with them. I have since met a handful of people that are extremely unhappy with this company and a couple of them that are looking for financial reimbursement through legal services.Not only do they charge way too much for their services, they do not have the knowledge that they claim to have. They charge more than any other shop and they charge book hours, like a dealership.Those I don't know what that means, the book says a job takes 3.5 hours so that's what they charge. If they can remove that part in 1-2 hours, then they make a killing versus being honest.My scenario is this. They promised me a price and after was all said and done it was almost 3 times higher. After I got the car back, I took it to the audio shop which was a mile away and had to take it back to them because it wasn't working properly. Did that twice. Took it to my painter to get some touch up work done and had to take it right back to them because things were breaking from their low quality and lack of knowledge. Every time I took my car back, they try to charge me more money for fixing their mistakes. One of the funniest things was they kept charging me an hour to charge my key fob as well as replace the battery in a rechargeable key fob that doesn't have a battery. Hmmm.I gave Mark the opportunity to do the right thing and he did not. I interviewed other mechanics and I picked the one that seemed to have the best knowledge. He was able to correct the majority of the issues caused by Mark and his company to the tune of just under 5K. I gave Mark the opportunity to do the right thing and to reimburse me and he came up with excuses and blaming other people which is very common behavior for them.This company has lack of knowledge, they should not be working on hot rods and classics. They end up charging people 2-3 times more than they should. I've been hearing that a lot lately about their tuning. If you take your car to this shop be prepared to be disappointed.

Had my 34 Plymouth Street Rod completely rewired... Turned out to cost me more than we discussed, however there were more issues that came up during the rewire. Work performed was top notch. My car never ran better than it does now. I am completely satisfied. Would recommend using these guys.

Thanks to recommendations from multiples sources (in AZ and CA), I have used Speed Sports for a few different Sand Cars, sent my father in to get his 65 Ford F100 worked on, and referred my uncle to get his 72 Chevy truck worked on as well. They are all happy customers!

I own a 1923 Ford Model T Roadster with a Chev 383 Stroker engine. Had work previously done on my 2 - 4 bbl carb and wasn't running properly. Mark balanced the carbs. and worked on my dist. Extremely happy with service. 5 Star

Let me start off by saying that I ve been around speed shops my entire life as my Dad ran the Mesa, AZ Loper s Performance for over 30 years. Personally I have 5 different cars that make over or close to 1000 horsepower each so going fast and building cool hotrods is definitely not just a hobby but a passion of mine. Speed Sports is what a speed shop in today s day and age should look and feel like. Tons of great products in stock, beyond friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff that actually listen and will help you find and sell you what you NEED, not what they can make the most money off of. Some other shops make you feel as if you re an inconvenience or put out just being there or asking a question, this is never the case at Speed Sports. In a day where everyone is shopping on Amazon or some internet shop to save a penny, Speed Sports shows us exactly why you just can t beat the face to face positive experience in supporting your local business (and they are just as competitive with the big online giants too with customer service and help those online stores could never come close to matching)! Not only do they sell just about any high end performance part you could want, they also have an amazing team to make sure the parts are put on your car they way they were intended to be installed. They can even Dyno tune your ride making sure that you re maximizing all of the horsepower and drivability possible. The shop where they work on everything can be seen from the display window form the parts showroom . It is really cool to see the guys working on the cars. The garage is state of the art and SPOTLESS! Everything about this place will make you feel comfortable in every way leaving your prized possession in their capable hands. Way to go Mark on building a top notch business and it s no wonder why this place is the absolute GO TO shop in the East Valley and I d say the entire Phoenix area! Two Thumbs Up and Five Stars for this awesome business!

We Have Been Looking For A Shop Like This For Many Years, The Guy's From So-Cal Sent Us Over To This Place. Their Shop Is Clean And Impressive, The Service Is Beyond What I Expected, Our 1970 Mustang Has Never Ran This Good And Smooth, Taking it Somewhere Else Would Be A Crime!!!The Staff Is Very Professional, Thank You Bill And Mikey!

This is the company I took my supercharged Challenger RT years ago. They tuned it, and less than a month later my engine exploded, go figure. I had forgotten about Mark and the headaches that speed sports caused me. I am now in search of another shop to perform more engine work. I laughed when this shop came on my list of possibles. HECK NO!

I brought my vechicle into speed sports for a Diablo tune and a cold air intake on the advice of our family mechanic. I couldn't be happier! First class mechanics, also extremely clean shop! I'm now saving for a full cats exhaust system to add more horsepower to my now extremely fast 300 SRT8!

Did not do me any favors. First blew my head gasket on the Dyno, than I paid to have that fixed and then the next run on the Dyno they melted the engine. I understood the first time, but the second time they knew the engine was not all that, but continued to treat it like a race engine. They wanted to replace the pistons on the blown engine, but I felt that they did not have my best intension. Luckally, I pulled the car out on a trailer paid my balance for them blowing up my engine. After I pulled the engine I noticed the block was cracked. They could of easily diagnose a cracked block. All they would have done is let the car idle and see all the water being burnt through the tail pipe. I would not recommend unless you have a huge budget and know little to nothing about cars.
