It is amazing to have a great auto shop that you can trust to take care of you. They remember me and my vehicle. They always take time to explain options and help me get the best results. Super friendly and great customer service.

We came from out of town and on a recommendation chose Kobar's and are very happy that we did. The service was great and cost very reasonable. They even gave us a ride to our Airbnb so we could wait in comfort! Many thanks.

Car problems are never fun but especially when you are traveling. I was visiting friends on Spring break when we found an oil leak and noticed a "growling"noise the last 100 miles or so coming into town.Our friends recommended Kobars and I'm so glad they did. They quickly diagnosed the problem and when it was discovered that it was a fauly part that the dealership had installed just months earlier, they referred us to a local dealership and told us how to work with them to warranty the part out.When I asked how much it would be for the diagnostic, they said there was no charge. If I lived in this area, they would have my business all the time. I wish I could find a mechanic like this at home.

Such a reliable and easy experience every time I have stopped in for repairs. John is as straightforward as they come, and if he cannot fix the issue directly he points you in the best direction. Will continue going to Kobars as they are the only folks in the valley I trust!

Charged almost 1000 for a side window repair and couldn't even get all the glass out which is now scratching the new overpriced glass they put in. When asked to do the job correctly Jon is rude and said we can do it our selves!!! For 3,600 do it ourselves? Wow. Never ever will we be back and we will also let everyone know how awful we were treated.!!!

My wife and I have been going to Kobar s for over 20 years, right after they opened. Gene and John are honest, fair, and straightforward. I wouldn t trust my car with anybody else.

The only place that you should take your vehicles to get worked on. Ryan and his team are the best in the valley and its not even close. Trustworthy, reliable and always goes above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is in better shape then when you brought it in. Our family has been going here for all of our auto needs for 30+ years. Outstanding prices and quality service. Quick turn around time and never fear being over charged or taken advantaged off. From oil changes, changing brakes, and replacing shocks to installing a new compressor. These are your guys! Even reattached a front bumper that I tore off my Nissan Rogue....I don't want to talk about it lol and they didn't ask! COME SEE THEM!!!!!

I first came here at the recommendation of my brother who uses them exclusively. I personally have been here on 5 separate occasions (ranging from AC issues, break change, and a trip check). Every single time I felt I was extremely honestly dealt with, treated with respect and given a fair and honest assessment. Although I have recently moved quite a distance from them, I feel they are worth traveling to given the honesty and integrity I anticipate from them. I give the my highest endorsement.

Trustworthy, honest, great work and prompt. I've been a customer since 2007 and have never had a bad experience. Straight shooters and no BS. They fix what needs to be fixed (with a full diag of course) and don't try to upsell or screw you. There have been times I've had a few things wrong and they prioritized what needed to be done and told me the other things could be taken care of within the next 7K, 4 months, 1 year or whatever miles/time. Won't go anywhere else. I can't tell you how many times the dealerships have said I need 1k of work and Kobars had said well you need work but definitely not 1K worth (and always several hundred less and with quality). Local and family owned. Don't go anywhere else except Kobars. I'd pay $150 to have my car towed to them before I let some sleezy other shop touch my car or try to rob me. These guys are great. Honest and humble, definitely not out to get an extra dollar out of you. Had a mystery noise in an old suburban and they worked for a week to find it: U-joint was getting ready to fail. Massive appreciation for the guys keeping at it to find the source of the problem!

Fast service at a reasonable price. They did exactly what needed to be done and pointed out that my brakes were almost metal on metal. Their pricing for the brake work was well within reason. This was my first visit to Kobar's and I will bring my Honda Civic back in the future. They have earned enough of my trust to come back when I next need service.

The guys that work here are honest men. The last time I took my SUV in for repairs, I got a call saying the mechanic accidentally broke a piece of plastic on the radiator and so I was getting a new radiator for FREE! These are really good people to take your vehicle to and feel confident you're not getting charged for something you don't need.

2004 Wrangler Sport 6 cyl. Top of radiator slip after only 125K mileage. Go to guy shut his door so went to check these guys. So HAPPY I did, fast, professional and very friendly.They were up front on everything, did as I requested and I trusted their suggestions.If your in Gilbert, Mesa or Chandler check these brothers out! 20 years same location!

The customer service was excellent. Gene and John are friendly and honest. They fixed my Mazda and I'm happy. If I could give Kobar Auto an 11 I would. I will definitely refer this shop to family and friends.

I have been taking our cars to Kobar's for years and always feel that I have received honest, quality service.One time I had bought an older car for my daughter and brought it in right away for a check-up. I asked them to give it a look over and let me know if anything important needs attention.I suspect for a lot of repair shops, this is a blank check to find all sorts of problems. But not Kobar's. They looked it over, said everything looked ok and had a few suggestions on what to watch for. Indeed, the car ran fine and turned out to be a good value.Thanks Kobar's!

Very impressed with the speed, accuracy of my estimate, and professionalism of the service I received! Would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to these guys. Instead of replacing my entire driver's side tire hub they replaced the individual studs and nuts, saving me $100 and a lot of time. I will be bringing my 2000 chevy malibu in for an alignment in the very near future.

My daughter mistakenly took her truck somewhere else in the same parking lot. It was an honest mistake. She thought she was at Kobar's. She had noticed she was in the wrong place. Long story short the other shop wanted to charge us $712 for the rear brake shoes, drums, and hardware plus labor. I was able to take the truck to KOBAR's and I'm soooo glad we did!!! They looked at it and said there were no problems with the rear breaks etc...... I appreciate Kobar's honesty!!!! We will return, and refer them on to my customers!!!! Thank you Kobar!!!!

We ve been taking all our vehicles to Kobars since we moved to AZ in 2004. We ve now moved out of Gilbert to Maricopa and still make the trip for all maintenance and repairs - Gene and John are exceptional people and they run an excellent business. Always honest and dependable! Thanks so much Kobars! We are very happy and satisfied customers!!

My Mom's air conditioning wasn't working & so she took it to be repaired. They added freon to it but it didn't hold because she needed a new manifold hose, so she went back for the repair $579. Not a day later it wasnt working & felt like a humid feeling in the truck. So she took it back & the owner knows my brother so, because he wanted to cushion the blow that she needed a condenser as well he called my brother to call her! WTH!!! Who does that???? Needless to say my Mom will get the condenser repaired at a different shop as this one clearly doesn't know how to conduct business professionally at all!!!!!!!!!

Excellent. Knowledgeable, and they don t up sell. In fact, I ve taken cars there and sometimes haven t had to go in at all because they have offered me fixes to simple issues. Very appreciative of this business and will always go to them for service.

Long story short: refused to meet even halfway on repair costs to a wheel bearing assembly that was damaged from a previous clutch repair in which they forgot to put a cotter pin back in, causing the axle to collapse on itself. They replaced the axle but there was significant warping on the wheel bearing assembly that they are now trying to say is normal wear and tear. The other wheel bearings that didn't have the axle collapse on them are fine of course. Please see photos or full explanation on Yelp since Google has character limit
