Great shop! Got my wife's transmission replaced here and they did it for nearly half of what Ford was going to charge us. Good technicians and manager and very easy to work with!

I have taken two of my vehicles to Spencer's on several occasions. Joe and his staff are trustworthy and perform quality work. They have always been able to get my vehicle in quickly and I trust that they are giving me an honest diagnosis and fair price.

This place is amazing. Joe helped me with getting my extended warranty company to approve work on my car and made it so easy to get everything in place for a major repair that would have cost me a lot to get fixed if I had to pay for it out of pocket. I travel all the way from Scottsdale to have my car serviced in their chandler location and their customer service is well worth the drive. I would recommend them to anyone. I wouldn t take my car anywhere else.

After compromising a cam position sensor on my Land Cruiser during a water pump gasket fix (granted they fixed it for free), I should ve known better. Dropped my car off for an alignment after front end work and the car left with 5/6 cylinders getting spark and a new CEL flashing on the dash. When I called, the receptionist apologized and told me the tech is no longer with us only for the manager to follow up days later and tell me I talked with the tech and determined we were not at fault . Not sure who to believe but regardless don t waste your time on this shop.

Spencer Auto took care of my car in a timely fashion and were very helpful and kind. I really do appreciate the experience I had and would recommend their services to anyone and everyone. They made my very difficult situation with a transmission/clutch repair the least invasive that it could be. Thank you Spencer Auto!

I will never go to Spenser s ever again! They are extremely overpriced! They wanted to charge me 440.0 dollars for spark plug replacement and did charge me 170. Dollars for diagnostic check! I went to the dealership! Charged me 200 dollars for spark plugs and 0 for diagnostic check! In my opinion Spensers are thieves just my opinion

We heard about Spencer s through other reviews and referrals. Joe was incredibly helpful and informative. They were able to provide quick and trustworthy guidance for my vehicle and made the repairs and had my car back to me efficiently. Spencer's staff are very kind and worked and continue to work you even when you their shop. They do care about their customers. Before I had work done on my BMW I went to see them and talked to them. They are very respectful and listened and gave me advise to help me. They were not pushy. I will continue to get my car worked n at Spencer in Chandler. Thank you staff.. You are amazing. Thank you. I wouldn t trust them at all. If you drive Uber or Lyft don t pick any passengers up from here either. They ll treat you like they do peoples cars - like trash. Plus they ll yell to have you pick up the passenger and they never tip. I repeat never tip. I wouldn t go there for any reason.

I was in need of a last minute tire rotation before our Disneyland trip for my grandsons 3rd Birthday and Joe was amazing got me right in I was literally driving by and he said come on in I ll get you taken care of! Come to find out tire rotation is included in your service so I got my oil changed at the same time. It was a win win for all of us because I was needing an oil change anyway.The customer service from everyone was spectacular, the lobby was the cleanest I have ever seen at an auto repair shop not to mention they also offer coffee, hot tea and water while you wait.They earned a loyal customer with me !Services: Tires, Oil change

Not a good experience. You shouldn t have to bring your car back twice to fix something that was supposedly to be fixed but clearly wasn t. You can tell the staff and mechanics are not very knowledgeable which is very worrisome. When someone came out to talk to me about my vehicle they began saying a bunch of bologna about what the issue is clearly they did not know they were talking to someone that knows a thing or two about cars. I immediately became concerned and just wanted the entire experience to be over with. Additionally they will recommend services and say they need to be done right away even though the manufacturer doesn t recommend that service for 20k more miles! I was excited about this place after I read some Google reviews. I was excited to find a locally owned place and was hoping that I found an honest mechanic but sadly that was not the case. Overall I am very disappointed, it is truly hard to find a fair and honest business these days. I think I am extra disappointed because I had such high hopes. I wont be back after my experience, however some people do have good things to say about Spencer so just use caution if you decide to give them a try. Hopefully your experience will be a better one.

My vehicle was dropped off with a brake issue on December 5, 2023. No part was available for 6 weeks (not a Spencer issue), vehicle was finally picked up on February 5, 2024. Everything was repaired. My ONLY tiny complaint is that I would have loved if they would have washed the car as it sat in their lot for 2 months. The other small issue is that the floor mats were a greasy mess. But, I will continue using Spencer for all my repairs.

I was disappointed. They examined my car beyond the problem I needed help with so they can sell me other repairs.My problem couldn t be solved because the defective part is no longer available. Can t pass emissions. No advice or alternative offered.I find a 12% fee for shop supplies excessive. Prices of parts needed for projected repairs far exceeded my online searches and that includes OEM parts from dealers.Gave Spencer"s a second try and brought in my 2001 Trans Am for repairs.This is a difficult review to make. The shop I used for over 20 years was sold. I needed to find another repair shop. Spencer's is walking distance from my home. That's good.People there were professional and polite. Joe told me that the work on my Trans Am would cost $4000 and that's what it was.I didn't have much choice since I'm keeping the car. The work done was seemedly good and was done in a timely manner.What bothers me is the 150% markup on parts. I brought in an ad for spark plug wires and spark plugs, just to show what I specifically wanted installed on the car. Online the plug wires were $109 at most sites including Amazon. The plugs were $40 for an 8 pack.I was charged $261.89 for the wires and $120.80 for the plugs. I checked prices of the suspension parts and the same 150% markup was also on them. Then the final insult was $172.87 for shop supplies. Like getting kicked in the head when you were already down.Is this the way it is in other repair shops? It wasn't that way when I went to Rich"s Auto for many, many years.What more can I say?

Spencer Auto is officially the ONLY place I will ever take my vehicles. I have always been one to take it to family but the protection to my cars is never on point. Joe and his crew not only provided a courtesy Uber to my office when I dropped of the car, they were incredibly honest, and provided a thorough break down of all the things I did and did NOT need. The pricing is fair and they use fantastic quality parts. I am also comfortable sending my fiance to them and I know they will treat her with the same respect and honesty. I cannot thank them enough and will absolutely refer them to ANYONE.

Thier diagnostic is the best ever! Very clear and with pictures, I showed to my dad (a mechanic in PA) and his second opinion reflected theirs with work needed. They also did not push minor repairs and worked with me on my budget to prioritize the most urgent repairs. Great shop! We took our BMW there twice. The first time was to get the engine light off so that we could get our emissions test. Shortly after we left a few days later, the engine light came back on and they honored the defective part they put in there and replaced it for free. They re scheduling process and staff is very friendly. We are very happy. We will bring our second car there forsure!!Service: Electrical repair

Spencers Auto is my go to place from here on out! I've never had an auto repair shop care so much about my experience as a client while also trustworthy enough with my vehicle! Not only did a mechanic ride in my car with me to hear out my cars problems but they even sent me home and brought me back with an uber through their company so that I could get work done. They fixed my car fast and I was a SAME DAY APPOINTMENT. I've never experienced an auto shop be able to provide that kind of service! So so so helpful! Came in with a BLOWN tire, hadn t slept in two days, just got out of school and it s 116� out, though they didn t have my tire IN store they did everything possible to help me keep my brain together! Thank you guys so so so much! Manager was AMAZING! And the guy ended up putting on the new tire for me when I got the new one the next morning! I came in for an oil change & received more information than I expected on my car! I walked away with a full inspection for FREE. And because my car is an older car (2003) this was much needed! I m definitely spreading the word! Thank you all for the amazing customer service!
