They were recommended by a mechanic who was too busy to work on my car and they earned all 5 stars. Their prices were 40% lower than other shops and they did great work, on time as promised. Ray is the owner and Rob was the mechanic that worked on my car, which now runs great.

Took my car apart proceeded to tell me they had the wrong part ordered and wanted me to pay labor for them to put my car back together also damaged my vehicle then went on to say it was my fault for there mistake of them ordering the wrong part will see you in small claims soon

I have not had the best experiences with auto shops but this was a GREAT experience. Ray was honest, listened to my concerns and fixed me up so I could drive 2200 miles through the desert with no worries of a break down. Ray and his team are very professional and seem to care about their clients. While they were unable to repair my vehicle (no fault of their own) they made every attempt and even referred me to another shop. Once I received my diagnosis I offered them the opportunity to take the job but it was quite a unique case a little outside of their comfort zones. I am very grateful that they were honest with me in terms of this as they could have easily wasted my time and racked up the labor hours in just winging it . I will recommend Gear Head in the future and for your run of the mill mechanical needs. I only wish they knew my case better to help me further; this is reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. To be clear, although they were unable to help me I have great respect for them as they showed honesty and dedication in helping find a solution.Vehicle: Ram Promaster 2500 Eco Diesel that has a fault within the hydraulic unit.

Ray has a great personality and work ethic, he ll do an awesome job for you and he s not going to try and gouge you on the price! I had a dad taxi issue with how long it was taking to get my truck back, but when I informed him of my predicament he jumped on it and got me back on the road in plenty of time. Thanks Ray! I have dealt with too many shops that see a woman and take as much as possible. Due to my inability as a woman to have any common sense. But these guys were AMAZING! Oddly I felt more like family than a customer. I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for great service, depenendability and the peace one feels when you know that they have your best interest in mind. Don't waste your time and your money, this place have the worst costumer service ever went I tried to talk with the manager or owner and he have more attitude than the employee. You never gonna have the chance to say or ask anything bc they answer before you can talk and just them have the rights. Ah si t� ingl�s no es el mejor o tienes acento simplemente te dir�n q no pueden hacer el trabajo para ti (xenofobia y racismo).

I could never find a great place to work on my car without them up selling me or just not looking of for my best interest. This place is not the case. This place is the best and I will never go anywhere else. Ray is amazing he is your guy! He will take good care of you and get you the best pricing. John and Robert are so sweet they are the mechanics. If they find something wrong with your car, they will show you and back up their words which I really appreciate! Thank you guys so much! -Tanner

Amazing service. I recently moved here from out of state and had been stressing so much on finding another shop that met the customer service and quality expectations set by my previous mechanics. Luckily I found them on the first try with a little research as my experience was very smooth from start to finish with their expert mechanics and customer service.A) Were upfront with the repairs needed and time needed to repair while being very reasonably pricedB) Looks out for the best interest of the customer and offered amazing customer service ensure the process was as convenient for me as possible from the start.I've only ever referred my previous shop for repairs to friends and family but Gear Head Auto is right on the same level offering A++ service while still very reasonable pricing compared to competitors.Thank you so much guys and I will continue to come here everytime I need repairs from now on!!

We ve been going to this shop for years now, we just recently had to replace our power steering and radiator on another car and let me tell you. Ray and the mechanics there always do one heck of a job ! They are time efficient and always guarantee their work even if something seems a little off. Ray is very easy to communicate with I strongly recommend getting your car needs fixed here first before even thinking about going to another place. Thanks again

Everyone else quoted me like 5500-6000 for a new transmission. Ray did it for 3900 . Car runs perfect. He just did my brakes all around for 399. This dude does good and doesn t rip you off

Ray and his crew are exceptional people.While he is in business to make money, Ray wants to take care of his customers first. I stopped by his shop to schedule an appointment for a transmission service. After talking with him about my need, he fit me into his schedule right then. He quoted me a price which was very reasonable. The transmission fluid my truck requires is considerably more expensive than I'm used to paying. Ray still completed my service for a very reasonable price.I give Ray and his crew a top shelf rating. He has a new customer for life.Thank you Ray.Mike W.

Ray, the owner, is amazing. He was quick, efficient and HONEST when diagnosing my vehicle. He actually SHOWS you what is failing in your vehicle, so you fully understand what is going on. The work was done quickly, the price was more than fair, and I was treated like royalty. I have never been this happy with a mechanic shop. I'm a loyal customer for life.

I bought a groupon deal for alignment, they told me I needed new control arm and ball joint assembly costing over $700, they showed it to me, I did not see any problem with it, I took it for a second, third and fourth opinion, the second opinion was Costco where I buy tires, third opinion was my mechanic (does not have the alignment machine), the fourth opinion was Brake Plus, all of them said I did not need the control arm and ball joint assembly. Brake Plus did the alignment. Either Gearhead does not know what they're doing or try to rip me off. After 3 months and the alignment my tires are perfect. DO NOT GO THERE. They are not honest.

Do not go to this place complete scam the owner claims to be an honest man trying to help out single parents but it's completely false!!! The owner Ray stated he replaced my engine BUT WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY PROOF of replaced engine had to return car back after car doing exactly what I initially brought it in for after JUST ONE WEEK LATER!!! Ray convinces me he'll take care of it. It's under warranty. Going to help me out. Then calls and says LABOR NOT UNDER WARRANTY LABOR AN ADDITIONAL $1,000 then Ray tacks on another 1,000 for a major part my car NOW NEEDS in order for engine to be good. $2,000 after being charged $3,100 initially. STAY AWAY!!! Reported to all credited agencies. This shop will get shut down! Hopefully sooner than later so no one else will lose out. I'm a hard working single mom just wanted my car in working running condition like I paid for to be able to continue taking care of my children.

Mike gave very good service at the front and Robert did a great job aligning my car. It was not possible to do a full alignment due to a bent part but they did everything they could despite this. They even let me watch and ask questions during the alignment because I wanted to know how it worked. Would come back again!

These guys are the BEST. I am a young woman who really doesn't know much about cars and instead of using that to their advantage, they took me into the shop, we went under my car and Terry taught me about my car and explained what was going on. There was one major problem that I had brought it in for and a few smaller ones that I couldn't afford to fix and they didn't even try to pressure me to spend more. In fact, they gave me such a good deal that I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else ever again. The place is very kid friendly too. Ray put on Moana for my 5 year old and they have a touch screen computer loaded with kids games for my 7 year old. They even had donuts! I am beyond impressed with Gear Head Automotive. They are honest, family oriented and great at what they do. Thank you guys so much!!!

Great service. Took my suburban in for a much needed alignment. I was afraid that my ball joints and/or tie rods might be bad enough that they wouldn t be able to do it.After getting my truck on the lift, they brought me into the shop to show me what components were in good shape and what might need replacing.They were still able to do the alignment, but informed me that with the components that were going bad, my steering might still have some play.Very straightforward and professional. Will be back once I replace the parts that need it.

Ray always makes sure my problem is taken care of in a timely manner. He's willing to listen to my explanation of the problem. Typically, I only go to mechanics and doctors via word-of-mouth. I happened upon Gearhead (via an Autozone referral to install a car battery in my EV) and was PLEASANTLY surprised. Owner was super helpful and understanding (I was having to jump my car to start it everywhere I went, and as a single Mom, that gets to be a lot). I now have a great go-to place for rest of automotive needs. Good business, that I like to support

These folks are good people. Ray, who runs the place, gave me a fair deal on a rebuilt transmission for my '59 Chevy Fleetside and took real good care of my truck while it was in the shop. They went above and beyond by finding and fixing a small brake leak that they didn't charge me for because the calipers need replacing. They took the time to show me the problem and were real honest about it. I would recommend them to my friends

Great staff that has a ton of knowledge and ridiculously humble. By far the best shop I've had the experience working with in the valley. This is coming from a now disabled mechanic. 110% would recommend to my family and friends. Fair prices, quality work, and great business ethics.

I would not recommend. Purchased a Groupon for alignment and I went and it was worse off than before so I told Ray and he asked to bring back car so I did. Then they tell me my arm controls are cracked it s not the alignment. $1300 estimate. So I take my car to my mechanic (FaithWorks) for second opinion (they don t do alignments or I would of originally went there) and they told me the alignment is way off which already knew that. They said nothing is wrong with my arm controls and recommended I take to good year. So I called Gearhead again and Ray said to pls bring back and I just said no. taking my time and energy to bring car back when it should of been done first time. Unfortunately Groupon did not refund me so I lost money. Ended up going to Midas who showed me alignment was way off and spent more money there to fix it. nothing else wrong with vehicle. Lost my trust in this company . I don t want this happening to anyone else. Disappointed

These guys helped me out so much! Ray is the best! I went in to get a tire alignment because I had a Groupon, when getting my alignment they informed me that my water pump was leaking. Ray quoted me for the replacement and gave me a great deal for the water pump and timing belt! A week later my temperature gauge light comes on. I knew instantly it was the water pump and called a few other places to see how much they would quote me and they were asking double, almost triple what Ray quoted. They did an awesome job and got the done really quick! + they have a dog in the office that cuddles you when you re sad about your car I think I ll be going to Gear Head from now on!!

I normally do not do reviews, but seeig and reading the prior reviews I am not only one who has had an incident here, but I just want to be the one who is the last with an incident.This place does not even deserve a 1 Star review. I took the car in for a alignment since the only thing that was wrong with the car was a slight right hand pull so the car was put on the rack and like previously stated in the reviews they told me my tie rods need to be replaced mind you not car drove perfectly prior other than the slight pull to the right. First I told them to do the work but than decided against the work being done. When I went to drive the car away steering wheel shaked uncontrollably and car didn t drive the same at all, so reported to person behind the desk and they stated they had not don t anything to the vehicle to cause the steering to be off. After another 2-3 hours of them trying to figure out what had happened same person got into argument/ contfrontation with us and said they didn t do anything to the vehicle. Man was absolutely unprofessional stating your car was submerged in water and fired 9 more errors on the vehicle and this has been like that for 320 days. Forgot to mention that the man took a business call prior to giving me a quote and stated cussing you th the business was just screwed over. So I felt like I was the scape goat and making up for the businesses prior problems. I will not use Groupon for mechanical issues any long to save a buck. I will not take my money to this business Gearhead Automotive anymore. Now my car has more issues than it went in with. I am also filing a complaint with the better business bureau and federal trade commission as well. Please do not take you vehicle here for mechanical issues.Thank you
