I have been a customer if Gary s for almost 20 years. He is honest and reliable. He is upfront and never any hidden charges when I pick up any of my cars. He has given me great advice on purchasing used cars for my daughters. Even inspected them before I purchased them.I recommend all my friends to Gary s.

I have a dozen choices between Garys and my house. But,I always take my cars and trucks to Gary. I have yet to find any short cuts taken or anything wrong with repairs. They always explain everything in advance. And there are never any surprises when it comes to billing. I simply won't take my cars and trucks anywhere else.

I am in LA and was looking to purchase a car in Chandler, Arizona. I needed a mechanic to inspect the car first. Gray's Automotive made it so super simple to set up an appointment and inspect the car since I couldn't be there in person. Ben was super friendly, helpful and found nothing wrong with the car. Ben emailed me a copy of the inspection and receipt. I booked a flight a week later and before purchase Ben and his team inspected it one more time to be safe. I had a very good experience with this mechanic shop and would highly recommend it. Thank you again! I love my car and it's running great!***I purchased the car from a private seller. Gray's Automotive only inspected it.***

I am finally getting around to sharing my experience with Gary's Auto. I called Gary's to get a quote for a front and rear alignment and made an appt. I will start by saying the gentleman that helped me at the front desk each time was extremely friendly and welcoming. I came in January 23 to drop my vehicle off for an alignment and to get to the root of some issues with my car shaking. They let me know it would take several days, which it did. The man also let me know that they don't do alignments in house and they take the vehicles to another shop to use their equipment for alignments so it would take longer. When I picked up my car on Jan 31, they let me know everything went successful but that I had one faulty tire and urged me to get it changed. I paid my bill and went straight to Big O Tires. During the tire swap, they did an alignment test and it was completely off. They offered the service to me and I denied it, stating I just came from a mechanic that had done it and I will be taking it back there. I immediately called Gary's Auto back the next day and explained the situation and made yet another appt. The man let me know to bring it in and they will get it squared away. I took it back to Gary's the following week in which they had my vehicle for another 4 days. When I returned to pick it up, I was charged AGAIN for the alignment that they messed up in the first place! I was shocked, but paid my bill and left. Gary reached out via text the following week to see how the car was holding up and I shared my concerns but was met with nothing. It's very hard to find a decent mechanic and I wanted so badly to have Gary's Auto as my primary mechanic, as the people were very pleasant, but I cannot justify paying double for a mistake that was made by your staff.

Pretty honest shop. My dad has been using Gary's shop ever since he got his first car back in the day and has passed it on to me. They let you know what's up, give you an honest opinion and what needs to be done as well. I'd also say they don't nickel and dime you really. Would recommend any day!

Where do I even start Gary And Ben took care of my car and I like it was theirs. They replaced my AC in a couple days and if you live in this heat I m sure you understand how much a person needs AC. They did it at a fair price and in no way shape or form do you feel like they re trying to take advantage of you or your money. They explain every detail and they even call you before they work on it to agree on a price! Garys auto shop is a fantastic shop. The inside of the shop is clean and overall a super calm and inviting place to be in unlike most shops which are dirty and most of the time hectic. I d recommend Gary s auto shop to anyone that lives in Arizona! I live in Phoenix but I still drive all the way to chandler every time just for them to take care of my car! One of the most friendly people I ever met!

I have been using Gary's Auto for over 10 years for 3+ vehicles. I can count on Gary and his team for honest communication and great service. I appreciate being treated as a valued relationship instead of another driver in and out the door...as I have with other dealers/mechanics.

This is the shop I recommend to people who don't know cars. They've been very honest in my experience. Gary replaced my entire AC for a reasonable price. It started making a noise a few days later and it was determined to be a faulty remanufactured part (not the shop's fault, it happens). They looked at the car next day and replaced the faulty part at no charge. They're quick, affordable, and nice people.

Gary's is the best kept secret in the East Valley. This is hands down the most honest, trustworthy, reasonably priced repair shop that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They never try to upsell and they always get it right the first time. I've dealt with some shops that unfortunately I can't say the same thing about. Gary's automotive repair is very reliable. They are quick to help you out in a pinch and do pretty good repairs. What I appreciate most of all is their honesty, as a honest mechanic can be a difficult find nowadays. If you need help with your vehicle, I wholeheartedly suggest going to Gary's.

Very knowledgeable, friendly and very affordable! I even got a follow up text from Gary, to make sure everything was okay with the repair. At 51 years old, I don't remember ever getting a call or text from a Mechanic. I'll be a loyal customer from now on.

I have started taking my autos to Gary a few years ago, and recently had to another take a trip to Gary's. Himself and his staff are ALWAYS Trustworthy, reliable, professional, honest, and they genuinely care. Their goal is to get you back on the road safe. Gary and his team have a vast knowledge regarding vehicles and can trouble shoot and fix what you are dealing with. He has only recommend the repairs that are needed (unlike most car shops). Gary and his staff will always go above and beyond. To explain the issues and always be available for questions. Prices very reasonable, I cant thank Gary enough for the many times that he has had to work on our cars. If you are looking for a Trustworthy, reliable, professional, honest, auto repair shop. Gary's in Chandler you will not be dissatisfied.

My starter went out in January 2019 so I called around for estimates. Gary s had the lowest quote with highest reviews so I took my 08 Toyota Matrix in for repair. Craig had excellent customer service and service was completed quickly. Fast forward to September and the starter went out... again. Gary s Auto replaces the malfunctioning part under their 12 month warranty, no hassle and back on the road. Will continue to use Gary s Auto because of the outstanding customer service and the fact that they stand behind the work they do.5 stars because 4.5 is not an option.

Wonderful place friendly employees. Could have ripped me off but didn't. My car was overheating. Turns out My radiator cap loose.. no outrageous charge. They were so kind didn't even charge me for the 1/2 gallon of coolent my car needed.. I'll be back ... Great customer service... Makes this old women think of long ago service... I started to cry cause these guys were so honest. Checked my car out as I'm going on a trip to take my cremated, military spouses ashes home to.the beach where he grew up... .. Thank You Benny for your compassion...your care...your professionalism..

Went in first thing the morning while they were setting up. I don't believe they'd had a cup of coffee yet. Still, the young man obtained relevant information and handed my keys to another to be diagnosed. Just then, a "big" customer walked straight through the lobby and office area to look for his car - which was still being repaired. The big customer began to complain that he hadn't gotten a call to which a calm worker replied, "You're part came in later than expected yesterday. You should be ready in 20 minutes, sir." Mind you, the shop had just opened. Then the most uncomfortable barrage of belittlements was exerted upon the employee who politely took the abuse like a gentleman champ. He did not raise his voice to meet the insults of the customer. He did not feign ignorance nor request the insults cease. He gave space for the customer to vent, embarrass and belittle him without explanation. That in itself was a knockout.Now, don't get me wrong, we have all fallen short yet we are most often given a little grace - especially when we are not at fault. Still, have we gotten to the point where we can not be kind in the face of disappointment?Gary's Automotive Repair may be a small shop but their customer service is even BIGGER than most.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I can't say enough about Gary's Auto. I've been a customer for about 12 years. He's always been very fair with his pricing and does excellent work on all of our cars, business and personal. He really is the "I know a guy" mechanic, and even though I moved far away from his shop, I still don't mind driving extra for all my auto care needs.

I was referred by a friend who could not say enough good things about Gary's Automotive. It was all true - Gary, Larry and crew are your friendly neighborhood mechanics from the good old days (highly skilled, honest, and hardworking) delivering quality repairs at very reasonable, affordable rates. Their time estimates are good too - they do not string you along. I trust them so much I started sending my daughter there (by herself) to have work done on her car and they always treat her kindly and fairly - like their own kid. And for the very few things that they don't do (alignments for example) their referrals have been spot on too.

They found a simple problem with my brakes, which had very recently been done somewhere else and were squeaking. They made a quick adjustment and didn't charge me for it. Other shops had quoted me $175 for an hour's labor just to look at it.I'll be going back to Gary's.Service: Brakes

I took my Camaro to Gary s for an AC evac and recharge. Benny (sp?) took my initial call, was extremely professional, and started evacuating my ac system within minutes of my arrival. Great chat while the Freon was sucked out and nice cold air when it was ready to leave the shop. Price was great and I d trust them to work on my vehicles (not something I think I ve ever said). I had a great experience here. I knew what the problem was going in and how much it should cost. They quoted me on the low end, and with the great reviews I decided to give them a shot. They got me fixed up, were extremely courteous, and gave me a ride to my house that's a couple miles away since the repair was going to take a while. They also checked on a recall for me that I ended up not needing, and fixed my seat belt that was sticking for no extra charge. They were on time with the repair. Gary has now hired another guy named Larry. Both of them were super. It's a small local business, and they know that their reputation keeps them in business rather than a corporate name, so they are treating their customers right. I'll certainly use them for any future repairs I need. It's hard to find auto mechanics you can trust, but these guys fit the bill.

Fast and efficient. I definitely appreciate the honest communication and details given about my car especially with a lot of other places trying to scam you/ get more money out of you. Pricing was more than reasonable based on the issues that I was having with my vehicle. I highly recommend them and will be using them for future repairs.

I have been going to Gary's for over 10 years and he has been nothing short of amazing. He is honest and fair. I now drive over 60 miles to still bring my cars to him whenever need be and will continue for as long as I can. Gary's automotive is a stand up shop and not many can compare.
