It will be much better when they change vendors. It's truly sad this store isn't carrying in stock Andy Capp HOT Fries: no other brands taste as good. I've been promised now for three months to have back in stock: still zero

This place is great! I lived right up the street years ago, but have since moved into Fairbanks. However I still make special trips out to Ester just to stop at Gold Hill. They have the biggest selection of the most unique products and that doesn't even include the liquor selection. That will blow your mind! They have some of the most unique wines and spirits, you really do have to see to believe it. It's old. It's run down, but it's an iconic Alaskan Mom and Pop shop, and is a piece of Alaskan history. And you can't beat their gas prices. (Also, special request for the owner, I always purchase the Henry Weinhardt's Black Cherry Cream soda by the 6 pack, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time, and I would buy a lot more if you would please carry more of it in stock?) Thank you guys for serving Fairbanks for all these years!

Such an awesome selection of local and non local beers and spirits. Maybe my favorite store in Fairbanks!

A longtime fixture (with the obligatory sagging floor) a little outside of West Fairbanks on the Parks, Gold Hill is a great stop for some essentials. It's probably the most convenient place on its side of town to buy fuel oil; gas prices are reasonable too. The grocery/snacks/convenience side is nothing to write home about. The liquor section, mixed feelings. On the one hand, there's a pretty good selection with some higher-end items. On the other hand, it's expensive even for Fairbanks, unless you are picking up items on sale. And it closes relatively early. But ... in Fairbanks ... any liquor store is way better than no liquor store.

I don't get out there that often but when I do it's always a pleasure to stop in. They always have what ya need and competitive gas to boot

FWIIW, I shopped at this fine institution over 45 years ago. If it has held up over the years, it is still worth 5 stars.
