Shawna is such an amazing person! She has been the one guiding my family and i with our vehicle's repair and maintenance wise! She is super sweet, you will love her! Pearson has been nothing but great with us! I highly recommend them!

Shawna was very helpful and has great customer service skills and communication. I had just moved to Alaska with my family and my vehicle was very late getting here. She had worked me into their schedule the next day to get my vehicle winterized and I had told them I needed to be out by a certain time for an appointment later in the day; they had me out about an hour and half earlier. The technicians were also very helpful in allowing me to check out my vehicle, showed me exactly what they did, fixed some broken vacuum hoses, checked my battery and topped off my wiper fluid. I recommend this shop to anyone.

This review is long overdue. First, thank you. Pearson Auto saved us - actually saved our entire vacation which was based on driving our 2001 Dodge + Truck Camper over 15k miles crossing the US, through Canada, to Prudhoe Bay (that's where the clutch system failed). We limped, coasted, and screeched our way to their parking lot at 10 PM at night with an appointment for the next morning. They did an amazing job and replaced the clutch cylinders. They had the right person on staff that day and the parts. Just a few hours later -- done! How could this be? Because they are a great company with amazing customer service and great employees! We left to continue across Canada, to Vermont and back to Arizona without any further issues. Thank you to all of those who helped us at Pearson Auto! We will never forget what you did for us that day.Service: Auto maintenance

I needed a quick oil change and Pearsons was able to get me in next day! When I called, Shawna was super friendly and accomidating to my schedule! My car was done much quicker than expected, and Shawna called to let me know as soon as they were done! Great place to go for great service! Ill be back! :)

Shawna is fantastic. After running into some issues with their equipment, I was told my truck wouldn't be done until Monday. Even though I'm understanding of shop issues, I was still displeased. Moment later, Shawna calls me back, to tell me, that they will get it done! Shawna and her team, stayed hours late on A Friday, to get me my vehicle back. I'm beyond grateful and have no need to take a vehicle elsewhere. Thank you Shawna! Keep up the good work!

Pearson Auto West-very professional. Shawna worked with my schedule and was able to get my car in the next day for winterization before the deep cold set in, the week between Christmas and New Years. They kept me updated via text. Will definitely be back and recommend this shop to others. Thanks for the great service!

Great customer service! Had some issues with other auto shops in town but Pearson was very good at communicating and weren't pushy about making certain fixes what so ever. Would highly recommend!

After having my catalytic convertor stolen, while at Kens Fairbanks Alignment and their refusal to honor their warranty, I tried really hard to like Pearson. I would give 1.5 stars if I could, but only because the front desk lady is a pro for such a busy shop! As far as the mechanics, everyone that I saw seemed young and inexperienced. I work at an industrial facility and multiple mechanics have told me to stay away from Pearson.I understand my suburban electrical issues were somewhat complicated, but it took them almost 6 weeks and over 2 visits and a lot of money to finally figure out the problem was just a sensor in my throttle body. There were other issues I spent money on, and they either couldn't figure it out (door ajar) or didn't do as I requested (grounding strap). I left somewhat displeased but had them do a brake job on my Honda. Despite several hundred miles, my brakes still squeal as bad as before the brake change. As far as my suburban, it developed new engine misfires. I tracked the problem down to Pearson filling my spark plug cables(which they replaced) full of what I assume to be dielectric grease. Dielectric grease is an insulator not an electrical conductor, and is only supposed to be applied lightly to the rubber. I know they had problems in the shop because the cylinder misfire readings I got, had tool markings on the corresponding spark plug cables. I understand this is Fairbanks and everyone has trouble finding experienced workers, but I was really disappointed, that Pearson could not get even the simple things right.

I can't say enough good things about this auto shop. It's hands down the best place to take your car for repairs. The staff, from the employees to the mechanics, are incredibly professional and highly knowledgeable about cars. Their passion for their work and craftsmanship truly shines through. I have complete trust in leaving my car with them, and they've consistently proven their exceptional abilities. Highly recommended!

Since moving to Fairbanks in 2019, I have been looking for a neighborhood place for my car to be serviced. I scheduled an oil change at Pearson West and during that time they noticed a seal that was weeping. They took me to see the issue, gave me an estimate for the work... which was very reasonable... and we scheduled the work. They managed to source the needed part locally so the job could be done quickly. The repair was made well and the car was closely examined and declared in good shape for the winter that is ahead. It is so nice to find a reputable shop that is so close to my home where I can rely on their service. Thanks to the staff there. I will be returning!

Definitely recommend using their services. I consistently use them to keep my truck going through the Alaska weather. They will get you in and out while giving you a great price with a free front to end quote without the pressure of needing it to be done right then

I have just returned back to AK after being gone for over 10 years. Pearson performed winterization to my car at a fraction of the cost of automotive dealers and also provides a 5 year warranty. What can I say... I will use them for all of my automotive needs. Shawna was pleasant and kept me up to date on the status of my car, in addition she offered quotes on additional services that can be performed on my vehicle.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Very reliable shop. Got me scheduled earlier for my winter tire swap and winterization than other shops in town and offers cheaper services than other places as far as I can tell.I would recommend them first to anyone in Fairbanks.

I continue to use Pearsons West for all my automotive needs. They are the best. Shawna at the front desk is so accommodating and helpful! She is definitely an asset for Pearsons and does her best to ensure customers leave happy and all repairs are completed. She s the best!

Last weekend my engine wouldn't start because it was -15 outside. From my experience, I know that Pearson Auto has the option to make an appointment online. So I made an appointment online on Sunday and got a call from Pearson Auto West on Monday morning. Shawna, the manager, offered me the towing company's contact information and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. In fact, as soon as the towing company delivered my car to Pearson Auto West on Monday afternoon, they immediately inspected the car and assessed the proposed repairs. The company did its best to get my car back to me as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price. I like the way they work with consumers. Really fast and quality service. Thank you Pearson Auto West.

They used to be good but seems they have all new employees. I ve used them before to fix an oil leak. Car was done in less then 2 weeks. Recently they had my car for two weeks and wanted to send car to their other shop because they didn t have the right tools. Id only use them for oil changes because they don t seem to know how to do much more then that.

Yet another great experience here- they squeezed me in for a super affordable next-day oil change and winterization check. I wanted to take a moment to write a "Thank-you" for all the times Pearson s Auto has demonstrated the willingness to do things the "right way", and in a manner that keeps the consideration of the customer in mind. Specifically, I took our 2010 Audi Q5, with a mysterious issue regarding oil leaks. John the owner took it upon himself to find the issue! The work was done in a timely manner keeping us informed of the progress at each stage. We continue to be very impressed with their first-rate work and excellent communication. (Repairs completed: water pump replaced, reseal the vacuum pump, replace the valve cover gasket, changed oil and added all needed fluids, double checked for leaks). Life is good when you have people you can trust to do good work and treat you fairly. Honest & dependable, that's what Pearson s Auto is to us! They have taken great care of our foreign & domestic cars for seven years. When I hear friends talk about their car troubles, I always recommend John and the mechanics at Pearson s with confidence.

1 star because there isn't a 0 option. I came for a simple oil change and after i left, check engine light came on. Brought it back and of course they didn't check the work they just did, they went straight to telling me i needed a new part. I replaced the part and nothing was fixed. $800 later and 2 other mechanics, i decided to change the oil again, myself. When i took out the oil filter they put in, it was smashed and jammed in there and an entire piece that is paramount to the Toyota oil filter (we all know what this is) it wasnt even in there. They threw it out with the old filter. I fixed it myself with $32 replacement piece instead of the $1k+ trouble shooting they said they would do next. Never going back, don't trust them.

The place was very clean people were so nice. Front desk was very helpful. Technicians let me look at car and explained some problems that were found. Reassured me the state of the car and got me a quote. They didn t just start work on something I didn t ask for which was great. WinteriZation service was was just a little over 2 hours. Waited there and was very comfortable.
