4Runner, TACO, and other imports BEWARE!Brought two vehicles in for full-service oil changes and to change out tires for winter. After service, brought both vehicles home. The next morning, on one vehicle, engine warning light came on after leaving the house for work, along with 4WD and traction control lights. Discovered that the air filter had not be replaced correctly, causing the error. Checked over both vehicles more closely and realized neither had been topped-up for coolant. Called the location and brought one vehicle back in - the one that had the warning lights come on.Staff cleared the error, but said they do not provide coolant for imports because it is difficult (or expensive) to get it. Kind of sounds like a them problem. Literally can get coolant from any parts store, Costco, etc. I asked, "So, what is happening to all of the 4Runners and TACOs in Anchorage? Are they not getting coolant with full-services? What if they come in for a coolant flush?" I explained, that I basically cannot trust anything on my full-service bill. What else aren't they telling customers?If you are in a bind for time, they can help with a quick tire change, but I would avoid for anything else. Will not be returning to a service provider who does not treat your vehicle like their own and whose integrity falls short of reinforcing faith in their work and billing.

Fast, and courteous tire change overs. They don't try to do any unnecessary add ons. Thanks for keeping it simple

Love that place!! Did you know they change out headlights? Even the hard kind like up in the wheelwell. Bring your own bulb though. Very nice people work there. (The one at Dimond Mall) Always smiling. And they are more reasonable than the dealership!

I stopped in for an oil change, they showed me a very dirty cabin air filter and asked if I would like to have it changed, I agreed to but my book says change it at 22,500 miles, my truck has 12,139 miles on it, so I wonder if that was actually my cabin air filter they showed me. They said Alaska is dirty. I checked and they did all the services I paid for but they didn't reset my oil life.Service: Oil change

I appreciate oil change places that keep things quick and uncomplicated. Went in for an oil change and no one attempted to upsell me on additional services.

I guess it's true, the only people who write reviews are the angry ones.My experience here has always been great. When I first purchased my Jeep, I had them change the oil. Simple, I just had never done it myself. As I started learning how to maintenance my own car I went to them asking for help on my girlfriends Explorer. A guy there gave me an honest quote, told me I would be better off doing it myself, and told me what parts I would need. Later that evening I did it myself with his direction.I just called today asking about getting a new serpentine belt for my wrangler. I have my suspicions about the one in there currently (that I did myself). The guy on the other side was very helpful, told me a price, and told me he could use my parts if I brought it in.I've not had a bad experience yet. They've always been far more honest with me than I'd ever expect.

Dropped my vehicle off for a tire changeover and was told about 2 hours. I didn t care how long it would take but when they did call me to say 30 minutes till we re done, I got dropped off. An hour later and I m still sitting here. Just know that when they say 30 minutes that means they just pulled your car in. Great guys and they worked fast that s why they get a few stars.

My husband and I had a screw in our tire and none of the other places wanted to help, said they were too busy. We went in to this Express Lube on Old Seward and this one gentleman said no problem. He pulled our truck in and a couple of minutes later he came out with the screw and informed us it didn't go all the way through. So thankful for his prompt service to go out of his way to help us, but greatful for his honesty to tell us we didn't need to change our tire. I recommend going to these guys. Fast, friendly service.

Went to get tires rotated/changed over at another place and was told several lug nuts were cross threaded and would have to be broken/replaced to get tires off. They did get me in and out quickly. Just not sure it was worth the extra expense I now have.

I take both of my vehicles here periodically when I am not in the mood to change the oil myself. After they did a good job on my Jeep, I decided to let them change the oil on my F350. They actually stock the Rotella T6 synthetic that is needed (15 quarts). It is nice when you watch a service tech that knows exactly where the oil filter is and which size socket to use. They even caught the slow leak I had on a tire without me mentioning it. On my Jeep, took the time to break loose the rusted bolt on my rear diff to check it (I never bothered because it was STUCK). The fluid was completely burned to hell. They took care of that change for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend them, as I have had nothing but great service. Keep in mind, most people that have issues with their car are quick to leave a bad review somewhere (usually when they know nothing about cars and want to point fingers). I have no reason to take my vehicles anywhere else for basic maintenance - plus they will top off the fluids on my 200k Jeep at no cost.

Pulled up to this place at 4:50pm. They changed my oil, air filter, and checked the van over. I was out the door at 5:10pm. My company has an account here which is nice. As the employee I just walk in and the bill is forwarded to my company. You guys do great!!!

Great service, clean rest area and bathroom. The staff fill you in every 10-15 mins to let you know how things are going.Masks available incase you have forgotten yours.They do everything with tires, oil, fluids, wipers. Even clean tour windshield before it leaves the bay.

I went in before getting my oil change I asked how much it would be and how long. I was told $84.99 and be done in 10 minutes. ok I ll get this. As I was there the guy said to get an engine cleaner. So thought ok sounds good. He asked do you need wipers? I said I think so. So he checks and says yes you need new wipers. I was like ok. After everything was done the guys tells me $178.00!!!! I look at him and said Jesus!! What are you charging me?!?! The kids reads off the prices and I was floored at the prices! I could have spent wayyyyy less on all those supplies at the store and did it myself!! Never going there again!! Nice workers but horrible prices!!

I had nothing but problems with another shop, went to Express Lube and Dexter took care of me in about 15 minutes. Now I see why they're so busy. Clean shop and waiting area, and they even have Kuerig coffee for the customers. I highly recommend this shop.

Highly recommend for quick and reasonably priced oil change. Was in and out in under 30 minutes without an appointment. Helpful staff with good attitude.

I wish that I could take away the one star..I went to this place to get an oil change. They no longer stock any synthetic blend that I use. They told me to buy my own oil and they would change it. Walmart is just behind the place, so I purchased my own supplies and promptly returned. When I got back, I found that I was now number 5 in line. Not an issue, I understand that it's first come, first served. While I was waiting, one of the employees (possibly the owner/manager) was very abusive towards the other employees. I realize they were busy and maybe a little overwelmed. I would be surprised if they could keep good people under those conditions. I got tried of the profanity and unprofessional atmosphere, so left and won't return.

As a female customer, I recommend this place. There's only a few places to get a quick oil change in this town and the guys at this location are good. They recently added tire services and minor diagnostics which is great!

Great service, I had my oil changed and it was pretty quick also had to get my air filter changed bc of how dirty it was. When everything was done my check engine light was on but they also fixed that real quick

Had my oil changed a week ago and they didn't tighten the lug-nut enough. The next morning there was a huge pool of oil in my garage. Not sure what they did but there was a lot of oil everywhere under my car. Really, you guys had one job to do. I do wish this was a + feedback instead of a negative one, but I will never go back to any Xpress Lube again. Should of just went to my local service garage or my dealership.

This place was great! We ran over a screw in our rental and immediately needed to get it taken care of. It was a Sunday so not a lot of choices. We went to costco who refused to help us because it wasn't a costco tire! We found xpress lube and tire service just down the road and since they were open and we didn't want to go to walmart we gave it a shot. They were really nice really fast and didn't charge us a dime! They patched the tire with a patch plug - not one of those cheap file and stick in plugs that only last a hundred miles. It was amazing to find any place open on Sunday, let alone a place that is this awesome. The free keurig coffee didn't hurt either.

As many of you know Xpresslube had my car on 10/16. Did an oil change and topped off some fluids. And on 10/19 my cars tires locked up while I was driving down the highway. I got off the highway as quickly as possible and by then my rotors and brakes were smoking from the friction.I took my vehicle to Lithia where its under warranty. And began this lengthy process of them trying to figure out what caused it. Turned out to be contaminated brake fluid, caused my seals to expand and swell which caused my ABS system to lock up my brakes somehow. The ONLY person to touch my vehicle since I bought it from the dealership was Xpresslube. So we tried talking to them. The General Manager wouldn't even hear my father or myself out. Said he was a master technician AES certified and doesn't make mistakes. Ok ya like people dont make mistakes. Basicaly told us off. How he could never have made a mistake like that and told us we need to talk to corporate. So we call the Aces office. Cause they own it. Start talking to the owner. Says he believes his employee. We tell him to call Lithia before taking sides. Comes back a couple days later taking his employees side. We ask him if he even called Lithia. He said he didn't. So we strongly urge him to call them. 2 weeks later we still have no answer. So we call Hart at Lithia who has been a great guy through all this. And he calls the owner. They finally talk it out today. A month and 11 days later and XpressLube refuses to pay for it. So. Those of you getting an Oil change. I strongly strongly suggest you do not get it done there. This was the XpressLube location next to Northrim Bank on Old Seward next to the mall.It's fine to make mistakes. Business do it all the time. Owning up to the mistakes shows your humble and that your a good business and respect people and well as their property. Not owning up to a mistake, Or not even going down to the mistake and looking at it for yourself since it was left unfixed so you could have the fair ability to check it out for yourself is childish. Sam's club made mistakes when I worked there. And we owned up to our mistakes. Its give the customer reassurance that you will take care of them even if you mess up. It builds trust and a good customer experience. I am not happy with my experience with Xpresslube and do not ever plan on going there or any of their other locations again.

Took them 6 hours to swap our studded tires on when they told us it would be two or three. We dropped the car off within half an hour of them opening. Enough said.

I have a 07 Tundra that needed an oil change. They changed the oil, in the process they spilled oil all over my BRAND NEW TRD intake, which destroyed my mass air flow sensor, which isn't cheap to have fixed by the way. The crazy thing is P205 had the same thing happen to him. (See next review down) After driving home and seeing this, I decided to check the other things they touched. The oil plug was NOT even hand tight. Obviously if I hadn't have checked this I could be replacing an engine right now. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...

The staff was friendly but ask about prices before service. They charged $64 for an oil and filter change. They attempted to justify the cost since they did a "free" inspection of the vehicles other fluids.

HORRIBLE. Had them change my winter tires out for my summer tires. They tried to balance the tires TWICE and couldn't do it. They said I have bent rims or bad tires (tires are only 1.5 years old). Went to AK Tire Service and they balanced my tires with no problem. They have no idea what they are doing.

Needed windshield wipers. A quick in and out. Don't have to wait in side at customer service. Just stay in your car. They are fast and reasonably priced.
