the boss man here is a very kind, polite, and patient person. I needed a tire put on a rim and when I called he said all of his mechanics had gone home for the day but we could stop by and he would help us. we got here and he was extremely polite and offered me to wait in a comfy waiting room complete with cold water and a candy bowl. he completed the tire quick & efficient with a fair price. 10/10 recommend!!

These guys seem to upcharge the same amount for certain parts the same way a dealership would, 700+ for a wheel bearing?A small part, That costs only between 40 - 80 bucks, Then added with the would this warranty deal, Which they do not prompt you on or tell you about from the start, Which means you get blind sided by getting charged more money, This is one of the things that give mechanics a bad name, When you don't discuss details with the customer and ask them if they wish to purchase extra services instead of just adding it into the entire total.felt like I was at the dealership. There was no prompt or anything when payment was being made, I was notified of it after payment was ran, Which made me change my mind about coming to these guys, Time likes to hide any additional charges apparently, And just will tell the customer why he charged 100 - 300 dollars more after payment has been made, Which is one of the biggest red flags you can ever experience in any business.I will never return to these guys.

Great experience. These guys are absolutely amazing. Have an 89 F-150 with what we thought was a bad fuel pump. Turns out it was some other issues. Tim tracked down the problems and got them all fixed. Tim is the real deal, an old school kind of mechanic. I absolutely love it. It's so refreshing to know that there are still honest and capable people around. T&B will be my go to from now on. My 06 Silverado SS transmission was slipping pretty bad so I took the truck here to have it repaired! They charged me about $800 more than other shops to rebuild the transmission but they included upgraded it with corvette servos, a stage one performance kit, and Kevlar internals. They flushed the transmission lines as well! They also serviced the rear differential and cleaned my air filter. After picking up my truck, it shifts noticeably faster than before! I am very happy with how the transmission feels now! They also threw in a complimentary oil change for me! The repair took 11 days total so it was a very fast turnaround! Tim was very respectful and even called me after I picked up the truck to make sure I got home and had no problems with it! He seems like a very transparent and honest man, and I could tell that cars/trucks are his passion! I would HIGHLY recommend them for any repairs that you may need for your vehicle!Service: Transmission

Never going to another auto shop in anchorage. Not only the utmost best service but also at reasonable prices! They re amazingly clear about everything that needs to be done and won t push you to fix problems that aren t urgent. If you re curious about the problem, they take time out of their day to explain exactly what s going on with your car. Never met a more honest and reliable mechanic. 10/10 Always coming here when I need work done!

I found my all time favorite auto repair shop!! Tim is honest and keeps you informed throughout the whole process. He replaced the alternator on my vehicle, showed me exactly what had been done and gave me a detailed receipt explaining the cost of the repair. Which btw was a very fair price. In addition, I was able to make an appointment and get my vehicle before closing. Quality work and service!!

Got a nail in my tire and couldn t find a shop to put a new one on the rim for me, called a bunch of other shops that either didn t answer their phones, or couldn t get me in for 2 (!) weeks. Found T&B Auto and gave them a call to see if they could get me in same day, half an hour later I was in! Super quick service and very accommodating, and Tim kept me updated the time on what was going on. I ll definitely be recommending T&B to others!Service: Tires

Beware. Surprised by some of the good reviews here because it was not our experience at all. Tim will charge for a diagnosis and then call just to tell you what the codes read. He ll use premium parts instead of standard ones without your consent. He will also take it upon himself to replace things that you did not authorize him to replace, and then try to charge you for it. Final price 3x quoted price.

Tim is the best at T &B Automotive he took the time to take care of my daughters car with the up most professional care.Not to mention the best prices in town. My car recently had a lot of issues going on with it that I was completely unaware of. Tim, the owner, was very attentive and did a great job fixing everything. He took my car in right away. He went above and beyond and even stayed late to make sure my car was taken care of. Great communication about the vehicle and overall great service. 100% recommend and will be using T&B automotive for my car needs here on out.

I am a very skeptical person and when it comes to my car, I am even more so. I took my vehicle to T & B automotive due to the check engine light coming up on my dash. My car has only 56,000 miles on it so I needed to find a mechanic I can trust. I took my car in, and was greeted right away by Tim. He not only explained to me what tests and work he was going to do but also called me to give me a price quote before hand and would only do the work I agreed for him to do. I really appreciate the fact that he went out of his way to work on my car and he was there well after closing time. If you need a mechanic who won't waste your time, is trustworthy and won't cheat you out on money and quality of work, take your car to T & B automotive. I will be using them again for all my vehicle repairs/maintenance work from now on.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I appreciate Tim took the time and fixed my car in short notice. But I can not believe that replacing mass air flow sensor on a 2010 Toyota Camry ended up costing $580+. It should have been half hour of labor. The air filter box bolt was striped and missing, they fixed it, but they charged me $120! I would not recommend anyone going there.

My friend reccommend me this shop T & B Automotive and I am so happy and appreciate my friend for her recommendation. Mr. Tim the owner is very nice guy with a good heart. He is very accomodative, honest and pair with his customer. He will tell you what has to be done and what could be the cost you have to pay before doing the job.I am so happy that my was car fixed. Mr. Tim really did a great job. My car do no have any issue now in its traction. I am now running on the road with steady steering wheel and worry free. I am so thankfull and appreciate the job well done. I will highly recommend this shop to my family and friends with out any hesitation.

I lived with my steering messed up for awhile. It acts like it has no steering fluid but it was full. I took it into Tim at A & B Automotive, I told him the symptoms and it knew right away what it was. After the diagnosis he gave me a quote and stayed true to that. Tim did an awesome job finding the right parts to fix our car. He never gave up until he got the right parts at the best price! He called to give regular updates on our car and truly worked hard to get it running. Highly recommend this shop, family owned and operated, awesome job!

Very good repair shop. Mr. Tim was very thoughtful, considerate and offered fair pricing. They care about their customers here and are experts when it comes to breaks. I came in with break problems with my car and they did all they could to solve my issue in the fastest manner possible. Very good staff and top customer service.

After being quoted $1200 at another shop, I brought my car over to Tim and he had my car up and running within 24hours and it cost me less than HALF! He was so friendly and even coordinated with the tow truck company for the after hours drop off of my car because it got held up at the other shop. I will never go anywhere else and recommend that you go here first for all your vehicle problems.Brake issues + the cost of towing my vehicle twice= $500 cheaper than the original quote from somewhere else.Need I say more?

T&B's is family owned and run and is probably the best place in town to get your vehicle worked on. I've had my Diesel F-350, Audi A4 and the minivan worked on and Tim is fair and honest. Rates are $75 an hour and is definitely the best value in town. Give them a call and see what they can do for you.

Great service, great price, great turnaround time. Even came in $60 under estimate. Tim is an honest man with honest prices. Tim even took my info and gave me an idea what was wrong with my Jeep from his sick bed! Awesome guy. DEFINITELY will have more of my business!

Tim did two pre purchase inspections for me working with my middle man in anchorage as I m wintering in California. Fit two trucks in with very little notice and gave me a discount on the second. Hands down the best auto experience I have ever had. Very fair pricing, and very customer friendly. If your looking for quality service in a comfortable setting this is the place. If talking about cars, stresses you out they will make it simple and easy for you to understand.

Very quick service, had tires changed over and an estimate for work that other mechanics had quoted 1000's for. Tim and his staff are very knowledgeable and due to their honesty and persistance they found me the part that was within my budget and I would not go anywhere else.

Finally found a new mechanic I can trust. I had a couple of different things done to two different vehicles. Both times I was walked through every step of the way and not overcharged, and the work was excellent. I highly recommend this place if you want to know what's going on with your vehicle they have the newest in diagnostic testing equipment and they will break it down for you and let you know what absolutely needs to be done and maybe what might need to be done and most of all we'll always kind of give your vehicle a once over so I felt like I knew what was going on with my car or my truck. Nice cozy area to sit to and wait if neededUpdate. I went in there to get myself ready to go down the alcan highway and told the guy I was trying to save money and just get there. He quoted me $2,500 which I did not have. I took it somewhere else and they did the job for 600.00

Owner was awesome and was very genuine and friendly. They took pictures and charged me a very fair price. Anything auto related I will be taking my car their from now on. The owner also went above and beyond to communicate with me through the process so there was no surprise fees. Excellent work.

Went there to have my tires changed over for summer & will definitely be going back. The fact that they are also open until 7 pm on weekdays is a major plus, especially for those of us that work the normal 9 to 5 hrs & aren't able to just drop a vehicle off & come back.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Wonderful service. Two blown gaskets on an older car, but he took the time to do some research on a temporary fix. Very straightforward and helpful. I'll definitely go back!
