I give Sales Agents Bill Garcia with the help of Genesis a Huge 5-star for providing an amazing customer experience! They provided the above-and-beyond customer service and we never experienced any pressure from them. His colossal respect for us makes them a great person and a great Sales professional. I would also like to extend our gratitude to the Awesome Sales Manager Tim Bottoms for making this sale smooth as a butter! I still recall him says We're not here to put pressure or make our customers regret by visiting us but we're here to help and have our customers feel a positive experience and the joy to drive the vehicle they wanted . Vehicle was in the shop for an oil change it took 8 1/2 hours. What do you want me to say when there was absolutely no business in service. The excuse was they only have one technician. I love my Tiguan however I don t think were priority as customers any longer with you guys.

My appointment was at 8:00 AM. My vehicle didn t get taken back until 8:50 AM when I asked what time frame I should expect. At 10:00 AM I checked on my vehicle again and was told to be patient. At 10:45 AM I checked again since communication isn t Swickard s strong suit. I was told it should be soon. Around 10:50 AM I was out the door. 3 hours for a routine service? Then, to top it all off, five miles down the road my check engine light comes on for washer fluid. Kinda makes me wonder what actually got checked.

Had a regular oil change in the fall of 2023. During that time I asked the service team to take a look at my passenger rear view mirror, A portion cracked while using a pressure washer (no big deal) I just wanted the correct part ordered. I was told the part got ordered, long story short it never got ordered. I could not get ahold of anyone on the phone for literally weeks and had to go into VW to ask about this matter. Instead of it being sorted out while I was physically standing there, the employee at the service department gave me his email to email him about it instead. Super frustrating and I still don t have this part. Then I call recently to schedule an oil change, my sensor light her came on, I was informed they are booked till June but I can walk in and wait, which is difficult when you work full time and depend on your vehicle. I have this service factored into my payments but I will go elsewhere and pay extra for an oil change. I understand the staff working can t do anything about being short staffed, but customer service can be improved.

These guys are impossible to get in contact with on the phone. I gave them very detailed instructions on what I wanted done to my car when I would be out of town and out of phone service for a week. I needed a family member to pick the car up when I was gone. They talked my family member into changing my transmission fluid. For 6 quarts of oil they charged $464.00. This oil change that I did not want ended up costing me 1000.00 alone. Even though I made an appointment weeks in advance for when Id be gone, they did not do the work as requested. The arranged date for my family member to grab the car came and they had not started the work which was days after my scheduled appt. They said they could accommodate us and rush to it that afternoon. Somehow they managed to do 2600.00 worth of work in 4 hours and only half of what I originally requested to have done. But they did conveniently find some other work to do in those 4 hours that they told my family member I needed. Ive been trying to contact them for a week on how 6 quarts of oil could cost 464.00. They keep saying someone will contact me but no one does. I feel like I got robbed.

This was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own and the Swickard Volkswagen team members couldn t have made my experience more smooth and enjoyable! Representative, Adam Poole, was very polite, engaging and achieved beyond my expectations with his customer service excellence. I did not feel at all pressured during the deal. Additionally, they were very generous on compromising with me during the trade-in of my previous vehicle which took me by surprise. Overall, I would definitely rate my experience a solid 5 stars and am looking forward to working with them again in the future!

I wouldn t buy another VW if it meant they were my only option for service. It s 2024, aren t we past the covid level of service at this point? I m glad they got sued by the state for shady sales practices.

Really disappointing when it comes to service. They won t communicate with the customer. I m still trying to figure out how 6quarts of oil could cost 464.10 American US dollars. Especially on a fluid change that I did not request. I lump these guys into my Alaska s finest category (a company that doesn t care and can get away with anything because there s so little competition up here).

Purchasing a car needn't include high-pressure tactics and gimmicks. Rather, it can actually be a pleasant and efficient experience, as shown by Swickard Volkswagen of Anchorage. Eleazar Torino worked with me across the state to make sure the New Beetle was exactly what I wanted. He was encouraging, personable, and knowledgeable from the start - quite different from some of my previous dealings with dealerships. Layne Gunter in Finance answered my questions about the extended warranty and pay-off process, and showed both impressive organization and humor during the completion of paperwork. Driving three hours one-way was definitely worth it. Highest recommendation for this fantastic team, and many thanks for matching me with my dream car!

Bought a VW Atlas. Less than 18 months old. Less than 20000 miles. The wipers don t work, the screen is glitchy, the key needs to be replaced, the fuel door broke off. So many little things breaking on this car. And what s worse is the wait time at the dealership for service is 2 months! I m buying all the needed parts on Amazon and will take somewhere else to fix. What s the point of warranty if you can t ever access it when you need it?!100% will not buy another VW Atlas. And will not work with swickard again. What a disappointment...new dealer moves in to Alaska and needs to recognize its a small market and they need to take care of folks if they want to stick here.Update 2/21: it s now been 5 days since swickard posted that they d reach out with a resolution. They have not. It s one thing to post on social media and the internet and say they d respond. It s another to follow through. My car continues to fall apart as now it sometimes just won t shut off. That s new in the last two days.Update 2/28: It's been another week. Still no response. I have reached out to the store, and to the email provided in their response to the review. I have submitted a complaint to the Alaska Attorney General Consumer Protection Unit.Update 3/29: I went in a few weeks ago, and they told me they needed to order some parts. They were going to be "fast-freighted" and should be in soon. However, it took roughly three weeks for the parts to come in. I was communicated with and they told me they could get me in today to finish the repairs and to complete the second oil change (included with the original price). I showed up 15 minutes early to my scheduled appointment. I was told it would be no more than 90 minutes. After a little over 1.5 hours I was informed that a necessary machine was down and it would be a minimum hour additional. Why they chose to wait to tell me that is beyond me -- it ended up being a total time waste. I do not consider this issue resolved at all. I am going to reengage the State Attorney General Consumer Protection Unit and see if they will push the issue. Based on other reviews, I don't seem to be alone in my issues.

I originally came in on 9/11/23 and ordered and paid for a new key for my newly purchased 2017 VW Beetle. Staff was very helpful and said it would be in within a week. I came back from vacation and started calling on 9/29/23 and could never get through. Finally went in on 10/3/23 and found out key had never been ordered. Spoke with Matt who was very apologetic and he would order and call when it came in. Called for days and never received a call back and I went into parts department on 10/10/23 and staff searched and Gomez remembered me from before and he looked and said it was again not ordered but it will be ordered. Other staff said it should come in a few days and I should be able to have installed very quickly. I was treated very well by staff and install happened on 10/16/23. David in the Service Department was also very helpful. I was not charged for key programming and I appreciate that compensation. I believe this was primarily a staffing issue. The individual front line staff I worked with were excellent employees and represented Swickard well, it is the other issues that sabotaged this review!

Where do I start? As a life long ford girl I was VERY-impressed with the car buying experience with Swickard Volkswagen Anchorage! I jumped ship and am now the proud owner of a brand new Atlas cross sport r line. From the moment I walked through the door to the moment we left, even a couple of weeks later when they checked in on us to make sure things were going good I felt important and part of a new family. Other dealerships could learn a thing or two from this team! Thank you all!We had a whole team making sure we were taken care of. Thank you Eleazar and the team!

Hope this feedback reaches the right levels as I am really frustrated with the ownership experience of my VW Tiguan. Within one month of purchase, the car had reverse parking sensor issues which was diagnosed but the part took 4 months to arrive and for my car to be fixed.This feedback however, is about the subsequent issue I started facing with Driver Assist Alarms. When i drive, the travel assist error alarm keeps popping up every few minutes and then goes away. This happens almost 80% of the times I take the car out. At times the alarm is really annoying because it keeps coming and going every 30 seconds. Not only this is frustrating, its a safety issue as I am scared to use travel assist features fearing that the alarm will come and disable the features randomly. I have taken the car for servicing 3 times already (most recent one being on 11th Dec). The first time the agency said they couldnt find anything. The second time they did a system reset and this third time again I was told that they could not find anything and will need to keep my car longer. I am appalled on how VW doesnt have any experience with this issue and any steps to rectify it. In addition, getting a loaner vehicle is almost impossible (in my last visit i had scheduled an appointment almost a month later on a date when loaner vehicle was supposed to be available but on the day of appointment, I was told there wasnt any available).At this point, I am really annoyed driving this vehicle and I wish I had gone for some other option. My vehicle is the top of the segment version and has been utterly disappointing to own it. My sincere request is that please escalate this issue, get a follow up service scheduled and this time, please ask the service technicians to drive it for longer, keep it for longer if required but fix this issue once and for all.I do want to point out that there was no issue with appointment scheduling and the staff taking care of appointments was helpful. My major issue is with the servicing personnel who are not doing a thorough job and just returning the car without fixing the problem.

The professionalism that comes with the customer service is always set at a high standard. I actually enjoy dropping my vehicle off for service because of the stress free environment. I can easily pull in, the service agent is ready to check me in, process the intake information effortlessly, a shuttle is provided while my vehicle is being serviced and the transition is smooth. At previous dealerships that I would go too, nothing has ever compared to the type of customer service that Swickard VW provides. I would select 10 Stars if I could because that is how all customers should feel when dropping off a vehicle.

5 stars for buying a vehicle. 0 stars for communication and follow up with service department. Just bought a vehicle and everyone was especially knowledgeable about the vehicle. They answered all of our questions and we were able to purchase our vehicle feeling confident that we made the best choice.Update: good luck trying to have service call you. Left many messages with no return call back. Left message with manager with no phone call back. RidiculousUpdate 2: I have left messages and have made at least 7 calls since this last update. No one has called me back and honestly feel like they are blowing me off. I have not even been rude. I have been understanding with each message I leave and feel frustrated. I live in the valley so I think I will just show up the next time I am in Anchorage until someone can help me with the replacement part for my vehicle.

Y all are grossly short handed. I had a scheduled appointment to get my vehicle serviced over two weeks ago. Oil Change, fog light repair, air filter change, and whatever else that might have come up in your diagnostic reading. You guys didn t have a fog light in stock for my car despite having a scheduled appointment for over two weeks. Y all could have called AutoZone and they would have delivered a fog light for my car while y all had it. The air filters needed to be changed and you guys said they were fine. I went down the road to FATS. They did a quick check and said the air filters needed to be changed. When Kendal owned this establishment they would provide a report of all that was done and might need to be done when you had your vehicle serviced for anything. Swicker doesn t do that. At Kendall when I had a scheduled appointment my car would get done at scheduled time. Swicker despite having an appointment gets to your car when they get to your car. That s absurd. Y all had my car for four hours while I was at work. I had to get a cab both ways cause your complimentary transport driver was MIA. I then had to wait 2 and a 1/2 hours. After y all had my vehicle for 6.5 hours I find out that only a 1/3 of the work I hired y all to do was done. Again I was not provided any report of what was done and what wasn t done. I had to ask if the fog light and air filters had been changed when I was paying you all only to be informed that they were not. I m truly disappointed with Swicker. Kendal VW wasn t perfect but they provided much better service then Swicker VW.

I am so excited that Eleazor helped me get a car today!! He honestly made the process super smooth and amazing. He made sure he didn t go Beyond what I told him I could afford. He made sure I was comfortable with everything with the car. I couldn t be more excited! Also thanks to the finance manager (Luis) for helping me and making sure everything was squared away before I left. Buying a car right now hasn t been easy! With such small inventory he made sure to get something I would love! Also a big thanks to the sales manager (Ant) for always answering all the question, trust me there was a lot. But I would recommend this place I called them the night before and he was had everything ready for me to come in the next day!! They are all very respectful and willing to help. Their service was amazing!

Staff took the time to sit in my new car with me and go over all the features. All available options/packages were explained/offered. I didn't feel pressured to buy a more expensive car. The vehicle was immaculate when I drove it off the lot. Dealership followed up with me.

I had my oil changed and requested that they reset the engine light when they were finished. The tech fiddled with it after they were done and said i was good to go, but the engine light remained on each time I restarted the car. This has happened numerous times.

GREAT experience working with Eleazar, Anthony and Justin! I have been searching for a new vehicle x 2 years and have been very stressed about this decision. Eleazar was not pushy like most other salesman and just wanted me to be happy with what I was purchasing. He helped ease my anxieties and made this decision smooth and simple for me. I could not be happier and will definitely return back in the future and would HIGHLY recommend you ask for this team if considering a vehicle purchase!

Was a good experience! Eleazar T. stayed a little later than close two different days to try and help me out! He was good at explaining all the details of the car. I love my new Tiguan and can t wait to take it on a little road trip! Just excellent service. Anthony the sales manager was helpful as well with my trade in and talking to me about getting a Volkswagen as well. Kumbi the finance manager was helpful at explaining all the details of the contract and being patient with me. First new car and couldn t be more happy.

I bought a brand new car & it was the fastest service so far compared to the other times i spent in dealerships. The people who helped were super kind & made things happen quickly! My salesman was Eleazar, sales manager was Herman, and finance manager was Jack Price!If you would like to come in and check out a car definitely look for these people to make your process as smooth as possible. I love my new car & happy to have all the benefits that come with getting it under volkswagon.

Such amazing fast service from Eleazar T. And his team! I definitely was in a time crunch and couldn t be more happy with the effort he put into helping me find something perfect for me. He didn t push, wasn t rude, and didn t try to sell me on something that was out of my price range. Over all an amazing experience and will 100% be going back! Honestly one of the worst places to get a car from. Their selling team is top tier and so helpful but everyone else are not helpful at all. What a waste of time for me. The service team is the worst and their manager is absolutely no help. His name is Luke and he s not been helpful at all. Whenever I have a problem I have to go to him and he never ever talks to me. What a joke of a dealership. Go anywhere else. Takes me weeks to get an appointment with them (to even get ahold of their service department to schedule the appointment). I m tired of this place and I am stuck here. :) I m trying to save y all a major headache! Hope it helps! If I could to be able to post this I d give them zero stars. Swichard is a joke. Wish Kendall still owned Volkswagen. Another funny thing is I am editing this review because you guys still haven t even gotten back to me. Which I am not even surprised. I sent an email to your customer experience email 15 days ago. No reply. So sad. Do better. And it s funny here I am editing it again! It s been 3 months and not a peep. These guys are a joke. I m telling you guys please stay clear of this place. They don t help at all! I have about 3 problems with them and they have not gotten back to me at all. I would love to speak to someone anyone at this point lol. Luke Greg is his name and he's probably the worst person I ve ever met in my life. Man has been zero help to me with my troubles and with my car. And they call him a manager. He s never there. The lower employees have helped me more and I m being generous even with that. If you re looking for an honest, knowledgeable person to help you with your car purchase, you need to ask for Eleazar Torino at Swickard VW of Anchorage. We appreciated his no pressure approach, his friendly demeanor and his interest in ensuring we were satisfied with our car choice. We feel that Eleazar took the time to listen to where we wanted to be at with the purchase price. He was also very considerate of our time as we didn t have a lot of it to spend at the dealership due to other commitments we had. It was the first time a dealership car purchase was actually pleasant and we attribute that all of that to Eleazar. We must also mention how incredible Finance Manager Jack Pierce was In completing the finance paperwork. Again, we were very limited on time and he rocked through the process while ensuring that we understood all the documentation we were signing. Thank you for the positive car buying experience, Eleazar and Jack! You definitely deserve this five-star rating!

Second time buying from Kendall Volkswagen the last couple years and have thoroughly enjoyed each experience. Eleazar was a super helpful salesman and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Herman & Luis were also extremely helpful and kind through the entire experience and made sure my cars and I were well taken care of. They all made the process seamless and easy, making sure I didn t have to hangout any longer than necessary.

Your call center over booked me. The shop was under staffed. Charging 2-4x price of parts. Insane hourly rates. Now that my VW warranty is up there will be zero reason to come visit this shop or dealership chain for any of our vehicles. Pay your mechanics a solid hourly and maybe there wouldn't be this issue.
