I had to have my car towed to the shop as it wouldn t start after having a mobile mechanic come and making my car more of a hot mess. The mechanics took their time finding the cause of my issue and addressed them. My tires were also in terrible shape and Brad the own recommended the same tires on his truck and I can confidently say my car has never felt as planted to the road as it is with these tires.As for the reviews claiming the owner is rude, I didn t get that impression. I believe Brad, speaks directly, honestly, intentionally and many people are not used to that and mistook it for rudeness. Brad did a wonderful job explaining everything that they did to get my car working. I will definitely be back for any car needs in the future and will be recommending my friends use them for any of their car troubles.

The bad reviews are right. Brad said that "I am not worth their time." I am not a repeat customer and I call around for prices, Brad asked. Apparently they like easy high profit jobs. Most shops do that. That's why my brother says to go to the dealership. You pay more hourly but pay for less hours. Gotta pick how you're going to lose.

It saddens me to have to leave a less than stellar review. I took my car into this shop because my brakes started smoking and they were the closest to my house so I could walk home. They looked at it and could tell new breaks had been put on but stated the calipers needed to be replaced. They charged a great deal to do the work for me and I expected it to be done correctly. I picked it up the next day only to hear squeaking sounds coming from the tire and break areas. Since the brakes weren t smoking I took it to a shop a little further away. The mechanic told me hardware from the braking system was missing and that s where the noise was coming from. They replaced the missing hardware which cost me another $100 on top of the nearly $600 I had just paid to the Car Care Center. I didn t take it back to the car care center because it was obvious to me the repair wasn t done properly from the beginning. I just want to share my experience to inform others.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

These guys were great. After dropping my truck off on a Saturday, I went in and spoke with Brad about what I needed fixed. I let him know what my budget was but I also understood that the repairs will cost what they cost. He called me the next day to let me know what was up. They worked out one problem but needed a few more hours to look at another issue. I Said they had to special order the part and he would call when it was done. I told him that was fine. He called the following day, truck was ready. It had more going on then I thought and it runs like a champ now. And they came in below my budget! I would most definitely have them work on my vehicle again. They know what they're doing for sure!Services: Exhaust, Electrical, Auto engine tuning

I have utilized Car Care Center for the last 15-ish years for all of my out of warranty service and repairs. I trust them (Brad), they have always performed proper repairs and I've never had to return for re-work.Edit/update March 2023....I just finished with a $2000 routine/periodical maintenance on my 20 year old vehicle. I dropped vehicle off and gave them a budget of $2500(if it needed more then I requested that they contact me). They kept the car for a couple of days and told me they couldn't find anything else on the vehicle that needed service. Pretty nice to know they don't just "find" stuff to make extra money... this is why I trust them.Services: Brakes, Auto maintenance

I took my car because it would not start. All lights in my car worked perfectly fine. When I went to pick my car back up my heated seats does not work my windows won t roll down none of my electronic buttons work. And Brad said that changing the battery will not make anything stop working. Everything worked fine before I took it and now nothing is working but my car do start now. I was told to bring my car back in and if it s something that messed up because of them they won t charge me but if not they re going to charge me. It is their fault that my electrics inside my car is not working.

I would like to start off by saying I was a first time customer. I read some of the reviews even though I am not a person that does so I only read them after my car was given to the shop. I called them on the phone to see if they could replace a CvT transmission I was told yes we can replace them Which that statement was both true and false true part is yes they were able to take out the old transmission and put in the new one the false part was they did not have the tools to relearn my transmission so my car could run. Another false statement while I was talking to someone on the phone was if you get your car in Wednesday you can have it back by Friday I took the initiative to get my car in there Tuesday I got my car back next Wednesday. I can agree there is a big customer service issue there or a lack of communication when it comes to people Sad to say I will not be a repeat customerService: Transmission

WOW, talk about under promise and over deliver! This company is all customer service. I couldn't get my car an appt at any other shop until December! I had my car towed to Muldoon Car Care knowing they would get to it when they could as its a first come first serve shop. I had it towed on the 10th of October and I had it back on the 18th of October! Brad communicated with me throughout, letting me know what was wrong with my car and that he was hoping to find the part. He found the part, had it fixed and it runs like a charm. Can't thank them enough.

Brad and Todd are fantastic! They are knowledgeable, they re fair, they do fantastic work... ! Ive had regular oil changes and major work done exclusively with them for over 5 years. Brad is always amazing scheduling me when it s convenient for me and giving me an honest idea of how long it ll take. He does not quote until they ve diagnosed which I appreciate!They take your car in, diagnose and then give you the estimate over the phone or in person. When picking my car up, the price never changes because they do this! It s something I really appreciate! Pricing is always more than fair. I just had an experience where a serpentine belt cost me $800 for 1 at a DIFFERENT shop obviously taking advantage of me and done at Car care center costing me $199 for 2. They do not take advantage of people that are not mechanics. I m happy to trust them and let them be the experts because I know they ll never take advantage like other shops! Todd and Brad... thank you for being experts in the field, taking great care of me and my car... I truly appreciate you!

I've taken my wheels there for issues a few times in the past couple of year and JUST this morning dropped it off (the alternator DIED yesterday on my way home from work - RIP). Brad Lamb, the Service Manager/Shop Foreman, has never been rude to me (maybe those that complain of rudeness should consider how THEY come off first? Just a thought ...). As a matter of fact - when I dropped my wheels off this morning - I didn't even have to tell him who I was, ... he jumped on his computer and had my vehicle dealt with PDQ. Assured me it can be fixed today and would call when done. I LOVE the fact that this place is a mere 5 blocks (if that) from my home - VERY convenient.

My tire light came on and said I lost 10psi more than the other three tires so I took it here. The manager got my vehicle back lickity quick and conversed with me while I was waiting. Turned out my tire sensor needs replaced, but the mechanic fixed it up and made sure all my tires were aired up before giving me my keys. The manager didnt charge me a dime, and said come back if my light comes back on! 10/10 service, seriously glad I found a decent mechanic!

After my experience here, I'm quite surprised to read the negative reviews on this place.A friend referred me here to have some maintenance done to my Bronco prior to me moving out of state. I dropped it off early in the morning today and walked the 2.3mi home. Brad called not long after to explain what my leak was from. In order to fix that it would require almost a whole day of work and if I left it, I'd be without a vehicle all weekend. I opted to only do what we initially discussed and I would bring it back in next week on a day I don't need it, to have the other work done.When Brad called to let me know it was ready I informed him I'd be there in about an hour since I was walking. As I was getting my shoes on he called back and said he would meet me at Totem so I didn't have to walk all the way. It was very unexpected and SUPER appreciated as I'm still healing from a torn calf muscle.When someone goes out of their way to do things for another it sends a huge message about the character of the person; and in this case reflects well on the business too. Also, my truck has never driven or shifted so smoothly. I'm not sure what BS the other place I had been throwing money at was actually doing, or not doing; but these guys at CCC are doing it right!

Had my tires changed there last fall. The lug nuts were so tight I'm going to have to have them cut off. Plus they didn't mark where each tire was taken from so there is no way to rotate them. Also, I had locking lug nuts on each tire which need to be torked by hand and they used a power wrench which is why they were so tight.

I took my truck here a few weeks ago because it was having reduced engine power issues. I was told that I would be paying for a full diagnostic and the problem would be fixed. Two days later I received my truck which did not have an engine code as it did before. I paid them the money and believed this was it. A few days later my engine light came on giving me the same error code. I called the shop to let them know the truck was doing as before. The man on the other end of the line said they do great work and we're trying to help me out by just cleaning the part. When I asked if a full diagnostic had been done he began raising his voice and using profanity. I told him I had already paid and it's doing the same thing. He then told me I could bring it in but they wouldnt be able to get to it until next week as it was a Friday afternoon. I decided after being met with such hostility and profanity it was best not to return. I then took my truck to the south anchorage chevy dealership. I was told that it was the throttle position sensor that was out and there was a bulletin so this would be fixed free of charge. Car Care Center basically charged me 321.00 to clean a part that didn't need to be clean. They claim to be honest mechanics. They are in fact quite the opposite. Very rude and apparently unknowledgeable about what it means to do a diagnostic. I will discourage any other military and non military patrons to refrain from taking their vehicles here.

I love this shop. As a guy who drives to anchorage from wasilla everyday, It is nice to have an honest mechanic right off the highway. I have used car care center for years. They treat my old broken down cars just like new ones. I noticed comments about them being rude. I have never experienced this. This is my mechanic...he can be a little rude, I don't want some sweet talking upselling salesman.

Live in Anchorage, AK? Got car�problems? Go see Brad at Car Care Center on Muldoon Road. I moved up here from Minnesota in�2012 and one of the many difficulties of moving is finding a new auto�shop that not only provides top notch service and repairs, but is�honest. I was fortunate in finding all of the above in Car Care's�owner and genuine human being, Brad. He is honest to a fault. I have entrusted my 19 year old,�passenger van to Car Care many times. I was extremely happy with ever�visit. From the get go . . . Great job! Great prices! Hey I was new�to Alaska. I didn't know anybody . . . an easy target for the�unscrupulous. My guardian angels were on the job though, through word�of mouth, they steered me Brad.�A couple of days ago I took my van�in for Tie Rods, Ball Joints and such. I'd assumed my front end was�shot. WRONG! Brad phoned me after checking the under-carriage and�reported that two of the three bolts holding the steering box to the frame were sheared off and the remaining bolt was loose. The tie rods�and ball joints were tight and didn't warrant replacement. Brad did�find my front brakes to be in horrible shape (I had no clue.) Brad:�(showing me the old parts) Widow makers. Disintegrated disksmelted pads and one caliper was frozen altogether. Needless to say, I owe it to Brad�for not only saving my family from a possible tragedy. In addition to�rebuilding what needed rebuilding, he didn't rebuild that which�didn't need repair. I wouldn't have known the difference. Hey, I�ordered a complete rebuild of the steering system and he could have�done as ordered . . . required or not. I ask you, what more could you�ask for in the Honesty & Integrity Hall of Fame Department? Brad also found my Wheel Bearings�were shot and I had a bent frame (by prior owner). I also needed a�(no longer obtainable) Heater Box. Can't drive without that. This is�Alaska. Winter is like today okay? What to do! Can't get the�part. Lions and tigers and bears (Oh my!) Brad: Don't worry about it. We'll make one. And so, So Brad's expert mechanics took the�old part to their trusty well worn, work bench and rebuilt it by hand.�� Hey ma! I got heat! �If I were a bush pilot and needed�a custom part, I'd go see Brad, Todd and the Car Care crew. I'd look�no further. Brad is the go to guy for service, great prices and�honesty. Need a repair? Go see Brad. If this review seems a bit over the top, well it isn't. Right hand on my Bible, I mean every word of the above. I could go on, but hey, it's Halloween Night and I have places to go and promises to keep.

Honest fair service.As a single woman who knows nothing about cars... I could have easily been taken advantage of, but I wasn't.I was treated more like family.Brad and the rest of the crew have earned my trust and loyalty.I highly reccomend them to everyone.

Crusing Muldoon for tire repair, dumb and ran flat tire not knowing and blew out. 8 am and only shop open and ready for work. Been here several times and runs on high end but work is solid and car has been bulletproof since. If they are doing extra work its to prevent that side of the highway moment... suck it up buttercup.

Took my car in last week due to my air not working. One shop said it would cost $1,300 to fix. Care Care Center did it for $185. This is the only automotive place I will go to now.Service: A/C installation & repairService: A/C installation & repair

Super rude people. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.To Answer the owners response: Thank heavens I did not. You guys were so dang rude on the phone, you had no idea of what customer service was, you deterred me before I could even think to walk through the door. "Customer Service should be a priority in any business that involves working with people."

The owner was very rude both in person and over the phone. Very short with his answers and responses. While I was recommended to come here I will not be bringing any business to this shop due to how I was treated. He may be a good mechanic however his treatment of customers is very rude.

Extremely rude! My wife called them by accident thinking they were the auto shop on base, and the guy who answered the phone actually got angry with her because apparently it happens to him a lot. Haven't used them before, but definitely wouldn't now.

Had no heat in my car. I got there and they were closed but i used the over night key drop. My car was ready by noon the next day with heat. Im nice and warm again

Called this morning to get a price on a oil change. The man who answer the phone was very rude and wasn t helpful at all. When hanging up I said okay, thank you & he just hung up without saying anything at all. They for sure lost our business because of him!
