Apex Motorsports is great. Ryan is professional, runs his business very well and I have full trust in him. Customer service is excellent, he explains everything well and I know what to expect. He is always upfront, spot on with the cost, does not over promise and he is timely. He is also very contentious of his customers making sure they understand the repairs and at the end shows the what and whys with the parts he replaced. This is the best shop I've taken my Toyota and Honda to.And its huge that Ryan response to his reviews. It really shows that he cares about his work and his customers.

I spoke with the owner Ryan regarding a coolant leak on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee following Alaska's most recent cold snap. He had me bring it in and had his technician (forgetting his name is a true disservice) diagnose the issue(s). Just about every coolant hose my vehicle had, had leaked at one time or another, and unlike other shops, they bring you to the back and go through the visual inspection with you so you can see what they see. It only took this one visit, but I won't be using another shop to get work done on this or any other vehicle I have. Top notch.

I went to Apex after another shop told me my transmission was going out and that I ought to scrap the whole car. A car with 160k miles, sure, but no rust and no leaks. The transmission noise wasn't even why I brought it in for service in the first place! They just heard the transmission noise and gave up. They very obviously didn't want the job, so I needed to find a new mechanic and fast.Since my car is manual transmission, which are becoming rarer each year, I decided to find a place that actually works on manual transmission vehicles (like motorsports cars) -- which is how I found Ryan and Chris at Apex Motorsports.Ryan is great about not only fixing what needs to be done, but asking permission before he fixes anything else he finds on the way. He's a great communicator if there's a problem or a delay, and won't leave you hanging because the shop is backed up. He showed me exactly how bad my ball joint was after I got it replaced. So far I've had my transmission, my front axle ball joints, and the timing chain all repaired by them and it's been a great experience every time. I'm taking all my future car maintenance and repairs to them.

I wanted to lift my Prius since I like the car handling and it has very low mileage on it. Just a waste to let it get traded in for cheap and get ripped off by the car dealers.Asked around town and only Ryan's shop was willing to entertain the request. He was transparent with the communications throughout and did a great job on the lift + struts/shocks replacement. My car now no longer hit snow berms on the road, has much tighter suspension response and are much more drivable in snow now (with 45 MPG).Overall, very happy with the outcome and the job quality of the team. Will definitely go here in the future for difficult jobs.

I can't say enough good things about Ryan and Chris. It's obvious they really care about what they're doing at Apex. They've wrapped and installed my LT headers, fixed my o2 sensor wiring, and then, the suspension... After installing adjustable coilovers (ditching the leaf springs), camber plates to reduce slip, and really dialing in the allignment, the car feels like a z06 should. On the last alignment, he drove the car several times and realigned it until he was satisfied. I autocross this car as much as I can, so the handling at 10/10ths really matters to me. Talking to fellow autocrossers, I get the impression they're the go to shop for HPDE. I can't think theres any reason to go with anyone else for suspension work.

Was having issues with my air ride on my ram 1500. Had them swap it with coil overs while giving it a little lift and level. Truck looks great and drives and handles great. Better than the last mechanic I was going to. Great customer service and better experience with the whole service and truck repair.I ve had my truck serviced here and have had repairs done as well. One thing I can say is that this company should be the number 1 go-to shop here in Anchorage. The mechanics and the owner makes sure you get your money s worth when you re automobile is done. They explain everything to your understanding when your vehicle is completed. Make sure your next shop visit is at this shop! I m a very picky person and I can say that I m one satisfied customer with the quality work they put into each repair they do. If they had more stars I would give them every star cause they deserve all of them.Thank you APEX for all you done and continue doing to keep my truck running amazing.I had my breaks done recently and man I was lucky to have gone to APEX. Just took a few pictures and if you need quality work done on you car truck or suv bring it to this shop and Ryan will take care of all your vehicles need.

My car is not a tuner its a sound system S.L.A.BI brought my vehicle back after repairing every issue up to needing their help. I explained the MOMENT that caused my problem. In the end they blamed the problem on my sound system and sent me home with $100 repair bill and some girls scout cookies. I got my money back but they also wanted the cookies back too lmao. By the way fellas it was just fuses & 2 jcase fuses with a quick check engine light removal now everything works perfectly. Upon getting my Honda up and running again I needed a shop to align it. Being that it's lowered I can't just take it anywhere. Upon going to see them to set an appointment Ryan noticed my driver side axle was loosening. While doing the alignment, let me know about my shift linkage, which manufacturer was better, and why. During the final test drive they noticed the brakes were getting no help from the booster, because the check valve was installed incorrectly.Between their service, quality, and knowledge I'm very happy that I went there and will continue to do so.Service: Wheel alignment

Ryan is great. His attention to detail on my turbo build came close to a clinical experience. He truly cares about his reputation and his work, and it truly shows in the way he handles his customers. Chris is obscure but extremely knowledgeable. He takes great pride in his projects and makes sure he doesn't take short cuts that could lead to a problem later on down the road. When it comes to auto repair or modifications, you can find cheaper places in Anchorage, but you will be hard pressed to find a team like Ryan and Chris that will go the extra mile so they can be proud of the work done to your vehicle. Whether it's a simple brake job or a complete engine rebuild, APEX will proudly stand by their work.

Came in with a "beater with a heater" and coupon for a free oil change that had expired the day before. Not only did he change my oil (honoring the expired coupon,) he also gave me a list of things he recommended having done. Patiently went over them all one-by-one with me. Great service, great experience.

Thought I needed to get my brakes replaced. Went in, they took their time looking over everything and found the real problem. Saved me money on replacement part's that I didn't need. They're awesome!
