Got a transmission rebuilt leaked out of every seal when I got it back and then got told to wait 4 weeks for it to be rebuilt under warranty when it shouldn t have had to go back but I actually pulled mine out and rebuilt it by watch a YouTube video and have no problems whatsoever please don t trust your money with these guys

Johnathan went way above in customer relations and out of his way to make sure I was treated as a priority. I have had my transmission for six months and it preforms extremely well. I will definitely use this business for all my transmission needs. They are professional!

Well I wanted to clarify a few things before posting.. I ve noticed a few post where people talked bad about John. Recently I took my car to his shop which stayed there for approximately a week or so. John was very professional and knowledgeable about the service on vehicles. At no point in time did he become rude or unruly towards me. The process was smooth and my vehicle operates the same way it did before it needed repairs. Let s keep in mind that this business is always slammed pack with vehicles and that he s always busy.. Anyways, if I ever need any future repairs done on my car, this is where I ll go. This place is awesome!! Very friendly, fast & honest people!! I got my car back the same day!! You don't see that happening at any car shop let alone a transmission shop!! Wish they worked on other stuff because it is very hard to find service like they provide!! Keep up the great work!!

Great transmission shop these guys know transmission I towed a truck to them on my trailer from Pass Christian Mississippi. One of my trailer tires blew out on I-10 about 3 miles before Hwy 65 an I had no spare. It was getting close to closing time for them. They stayed open an waited for me to get there an even took my rim off the trailer the tire was completely gone by then. They did a great job rebuilding my transmission it's better than ever still no problems Thanks Transmission John

Fast friendly service Southern Transmission is where it's at. Took my car in was quoted a better price than any of the other three shops I took it to. John told me it would be done in a couple of days and it was. Have not had any problems with my transmission and was really impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of everyone who worked there. If your looking for a great transmission shop who does a quality professional job I would recommend Southern Transmission to anyone.

I've been going to John for over 15 years with all of my transmission problems. He's always gone out of his way to satisfy me. His prices are better and he gives the same warranty as his competition. I recommend him all of the time.

DON'T USE SOUTHERN TRANSMISSION in Mobile, AL. I paid $1,450 to have my transmission rebuilt. The owner, John, told me he would do 12 months unlimited miles for the warranty. The warranty I got has a 12k mile limit on it. (He later told me he would let it be unlimited miles, but you cant trust is word or work and when it comes down to it, the paperwork is what matters)I hoped I wouldn't need it and was already aggravated with their lack of professionalism so I didn't ask him to correct the warranty. Here I am 6 months later and 2k miles left on the warranty and realize there's a leak. It's transmission fluid. I take the truck in and they try to say it must be an oil leak because there's no transmission fluid anywhere. John kept wiping hard on areas he knew would put black residue on his hands. It was raining that day so they blamed not seeing the pink fluid on the rain. I showed them my pictures from before the rain, but John was just trying to get me to accept his explanation and leave. I go home and use white paper towels to dry up some of the pink transmission fluid, just to confirm. I go back to the shop and have my friends fiance meet me there, so I'd have a male and his knowledge. John, the owner, still proceeded to wipe off more black gunk and say it's an oil leak. So I pull out a white paper towel and show him that there's pink transmission fluid everywhere. So then he told me to leave the truck and they would replace the gasket on the pan. About that time the younger guy there finds the actual leak. At the dip stick tube. So I tell them I will bring the truck back for them to replace it. They supposedly replaced it this morning. The picture of the hose shows you the work they did when they said they replaced the o-ring in the dipstick tube. Very unprofessional attitudes and work! Now I have to wonder if they rebuilt my transmission like I paid for or only replaced the reverse band that was broken.Update: John called me Friday because he saw my review. He just kept standing his ground, saying even with 100 O-rings most would leak and that the silicone they used isnt on my dining room table so it shouldnt matter what it looks like. He ended with telling me I need professional help.And there's still transmission fluid coming from somewhere.

They are cheaper than anyone . We went to pick my granddaughters SUV and it had a minor problem but they fixed it right away and she is very happy with it and I was happy with the price.

I dont know who they have working there, but let me tell you myexpierence that JUST HAPPENED! (I do not know the guys name, but he had some sort of neck/back problem where he could barely turn his head to the right to look at me)My wife and I went to buy a car. While test driving this car, we found it had and issue with the front driver side suspension/wheel bearing. The Dealer agreed to take it and have it fixed, and brought it here. I had to go out of town while all this was being done and trusted the car was fixed. I come home to find out it was not and went to the shop that did the work to ask. I asked the guy that was working where the office was or who I needed to talk to, he said that was him. I told him my issue and that the car was STILL doing the exact same things it was doing while test driving. He snatched my work order receipt out of my hand to turn around and ask the other guy if he remembered doing the work. Then he said he wanted to drive it and feel for him self. No problem I thought. He started driving my car like a mad man. Jumping on the gas, slamming on the brakes. While driving I asked him some very simple questions. Like, "did you test drive the car AFTER the work was done?" "Oh yea, we do good work" he said. So I asked, "did you not still feel a problem when you were test driving?" " We dont do front end work, and I do not warranty work done 3 months ago so why dont you take it to a front end shop and have them look at it, how about that?" I was kinda in shock, he got very angry and got attitude with me. I got extremely uncomfortable and asked him to stop my car and get out. He refused, so the moment he stopped I shut the car off and got out with the key fob in my pocket. He wasnt going anywhere. Luckily a state trooper was at the light, he pulled up and made the guy get out of my car so I could leave. I have never in my life dealt with such a person while dealing with mechanic work. He got defensive and angry for a reason, like he had something to hide. They either did the work, or didnt. I wont know until I can figure out the true issue we have. I will never again even THINK of going to this place!! Save your $$ bc you will never truly know if they do everything they say they will do. It's bad one single person made an entire business look this way, but I'm also sure he has another crazy side to the story.

We just bought a 2008 mustang and we took it to southern transmission that Saturday we couldn't get the mustang to shift we called the number on the receipt it was the wrong number so the man gave me a different number and the guy was so rude to me saying not to call him on his day off and to loose his number it was my day off too I was just as mad he had no right getting rude with me. Personally I will not be going back to them! It was his shop his mechanical work his problem and he got very rude with me and don't want to fix his screw ups!!! Very mad

I took my car there to have my transmission rebuilt and had a very good experience. The owner John was a very honest man. I have not had any trouble out of my vehicle I would recommend southern transmission to anyone.

TRANSMISSION REBUILT HER 30 MINUTES AFTER OVER HAUL HAD TO DROP MY CAR THERE AGAIN SAME PROBLEM PLUS PROBLEM THAT DID NOT HAVE WHEN I DROPPED OFF MY CAR A WEEK AN $ 500.00 MORE DOLLARS MORE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM $ 2.000 DOLLARS SPENT WITH SOUTHERN TRANSMISSION SHOP TRANSMISSION JERKS AN SLIPS I WILL SEE THEM IN COURT VERY VERY RUDE PEOPLE EVERYTHING THAT'S WRONG THEY BLAME IT ON SOMETHING ELSE I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS SHOP I DON'T THINK THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX MY CAR BUT I THINK THEY JUST DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A HONDA CAR AN NOW I WANT A COMPLETE REFUND $ 2.000 DOLLARS OR I WILL FILE A LAW SU8 AGAINST THE OWNERS OF SOUTHERN TRANSMISSION

Drop my truck off. They didn t touch it for 3 weeks, never call to say they can t work on it. Just left my truck there until I came and ask about it.
