I had an exceptional experience with this business. I was on my way from Houston to Tampa for holidays with my family in my 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. My transmission failed while driving through Mobile AL. I contacted several GM dealers and other car repair business but no one had opening to evaluate. I had to wait 3-4 weeks. I was fortunate enough to find this business. I talked to Chris(?) and he was willing to take a look at it. I gave him the car at 9am and he was able to identify the issue, perform a full transmission rebuild and get me back on my feet by 4pm. Additionally, he lent me his car so I can take my family for lunch and sightseeing. I had the privilege of seeing him work on my transmission and I was impressed by his knowledge and attitude. As an engineer, I m surrounded by very technical expert all day for the last 20 years but Chris was among the best I have seen.Thank you for your sense of urgency, hospitality, professionalism, willingness to help and fantastic work ethics. You guys were the highlight of the trip by helping us turn this negative event into a very small part of the trip. I would drive 7 hours to you all if I ever have transmission problems. You truly practice high quality service.

These guys did a fantastic job for me. Quick turnaround on a difficult transmission job. Got me going again in about a day, which is unheard of nowadays. They were honest, timely and price as quoted. Chris, who I assume is the owner or manager, is very helpful. He even stayed late one day to get me going quickly. Guys in the shop were great too. I don't write many reviews, but these folks deserve it. Would definitely recommend them.Service: Transmission

I don't do a lot of reviews, but this place did an amazing job on my suburban. My family was traveling through town and our transmission went out. They had us back on the road the same day. Just amazing service from start to finish. These guys know what they are doing.

Mr Transmission was a good place to take my car. Had my car fixed in a timely manner. Mr. Chris keep in touch with me to let me know the process I highly recommend this place if you want your car done right an in a timely manner. Had my check engine light come on while out of town and was referred to Chris at Mr. Transmission. I ended up needing to have the entire transmission replaced! Chris made my worst nightmare such an easy process. He explained everything to me and answered all of my questions and did everything he could to get me back on the road safe as soon as possible. Everyone at Mr.Transmission was so nice and helpful. They worked with me every step of the way and went out of their way to make sure I understood what all they were doing. Chris gave us updates on my car everyday. John was so wonderful even when I was asking annoying questions that only someone inexperienced with cars would ask. I cannot overstate how amazing Chris and his team were. Truly outstanding group of mechanics and people.Service: Transmission

They are the best. I had to tow my car into his workshop from another repair shop because the repair shop said they couldn t find the shift gear box; when I called in they said they ll fix it for me. I would give a 10 star if possible. Mr transmission is your go to place

They have no respect for their customers, (Rude, Rude) have way too many cars waiting for repairs, I don t recommend this shop even if it was free!!

That Chris was HEAVEN SENT! He took great care of me and my vehicle. I was so worried because I wasn't sure what was wrong. Service was fast and staff was friendly. My car feels new literally! If you ever have issues with your transmission Chris and John are great at Mr. Transmission. My problem turned out to be my driveshaft instead of my transmission. They were able to fix it for substantially less than I expected based on some Google searches. I asked him to go ahead and change my transmission fluid while he had it as I believed it was overdue. I think most mechanics would have just done it and collected the money but he told me he tested it and it wasn't needed and gave me a ballpark estimate for when I should bring it back.I found this honesty to be very refreshing and cannot recommend them highly enough!Service: Transmission

Had a transmission problem that looked like it was going to ruin some long standing travel plans. These guys went above and beyond to get us fixed on a Friday afternoon! These guys are rockstars! I had my Jeep Grand Cherokee towed because it was overheating. They found the problem. They found an aftermarket part and got it installed quickly. I was having what felt like a shifting/ transmission problem with my 2012 Totyota Camry and we had taken it to everyone in the city but no one could seem to figure out what the problem was so finally I said well maybe it's my transmission so I called up Mr. Transmission because they had done such an excellent job fixing the transmission in my 2002 Suburban in which I am still driving today to make a long story short he ran a full diagnostic on it and check all of my liquid level and said the car was in excellent condition but mentioned to me that sometime when dealing with Toyota's or Honda if you change the battery it can throw it off so he reset the computer for us and the car is running excellent I only wished that we would have came here 6 months sooner oh and I did I mention that because I was a loyal customer he didn't charge us a dime!!!! I highly recommend MR.TRANSMISSION for all of your transmission needs!!

I've taken 3 of my vehicles to them for transmission fluid changes, or checks and they've been top notch each time. They perform a diagnostic along with the service. Somehow, I developed a small drip with my truck and they fit me right in to fix my issue. They're very accommodating with time and do a very good job. If I have transmission needs, I go to them.

The business selling his commitment to the me. My car was there for 2 days and they never touch it. There communication needs a great deal of work. I was told they would call me back by the end of the day never happen. Call them 3 times before receiving any kind of answers. DON'T USE UNTIL THERE COMMUNICATION IS BETTER.

My transmission in my car has been acting up for awhile now. I ve taken it to dozen mechanic shops over the pass few months and I decided to give Mr. Transmission a try. They knew from the start what was going on with my vehicle. They were very polite and finished my vehicle in a timely manner faster than I thought it would be ready. Would recommend to anyone at anytime.. Would say they are always on time but usually they are ready before you are.. I dropped my wife's Kia off after John told me to bring it in early. My wife and I got there at 0800. He(John), hadn't made it in. So I passed the info on of what was wrong, to the mechanic. I waited until noon..No call. So I called. Voice mail...I called again at 1530 and was told it would be ready.Only thing that I wanted done was my transmission flushed...did a shabby job. Didnt put my spoiler back on correct..left screws out......Needless to say, the flush job was definitely for the toilet.. Took it to Richies' Car Wash, they flushed it for $60, and she runs like a queen!!....If your going 2 Talk the Talk...be able 2 walk the walk

I only have good things to say about this company.....even though it turned out to be not my transmission they where quick to let me know . Then they guide me in what I needed to do,where I needed to take my car too to have the issues taken care of !!!! Thank you so much Chris !!!

Horrible customer service!! The guy at the front desk has the worse attitude! Not friendly at all. I've had my truck transmission repaired there at the end of 2015 and it lasted until summer 2017. I would think a rebuild job would last longer than that!! I talked to the guy at the front desk about it only to get disappointed. His job is to rill you in to leave your vehicle and tell you the situation is worse than what it really is and charge you way more than the job actually should be. Being charged close to $2000 in 2015 he had zero sympathy on the fact that the job they did on my truck barely made it a year and a half! Take it from me DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!!!
