Avoid these people at all cost, they have zero integrity!!!Back in Feb 7th my truck broke down it was the engine and a long way from home, so it towed to their shop (back yard). Geoff the owner told me leave it here for as long as you need to, I won t even charge you storage fee. I left the truck there for two months, went and picked it up and paid them $500 for storage, they wanted $800 but settle for 500. While the truck was there they siphoned all 220 gallons of diesel out of my truck, and of course they are ignoring all my calls.

I don't do gushing reviews.I try to be professional and objective, looking for any way to ding at least something small on any place I visit so that I can build trust in anyone that reads my reviews.I have ZERO negative things to say about this business. In fact, I don't know if I can say enough positive things about this one.It all started when I broke down late last night. My business partner looked for the nearest diesel mechanics to come help me out.First, my partner started getting clues that these guys really knew what they were talking about over the phone. They dropped everything to come help me out within the hour.Decided they had to tow me, but when one of the problems turned out to be something they could have figured out on the side of the road, they didn't charge me for towing a vehicle and a trailer.They went out of their way to provide me on-site accommodations to take a nap while they worked on the problem immediately.When I mentioned an ancillary problem I was having, they offered to at least diagnose it for no charge. That in turn led to discovering a larger root issue. They worked through the night. I could tell they were dead tired, and were working slow. They told me they weren't going to charge me for the actual time they took to do the bigger repair since their fatigue was slowing them down.They are a cash only business, and (maybe just because we are also a business) they made a payment arrangement with me to pay off my balance on my return trip.Five stars on communication. Five stars on speed. Five stars on customer service. Five stars on knowledgeability. Five stars on price.Five stars on overall satisfaction. I'll be telling this story to friends, family, and people we hire for years.These guys are amazing.

Highly recommend this folks... They came to us and saved the day on our F-250... DEF system fault.. came to us in Gulf Shores within about 90 minutes... spent approximately 30 minutes.... Everything is back to normal now... many thanks....

One of my drivers had an alternator go out on him while in the area on a Sunday. He was at the TA but they didn t have a tech on duty and we needed to make a delivery. I called this place from Florida and they went and got an alternator for my driver came out and installed it and we made the delivery. They charged me 1100.00 for this. Five days later the alternator goes out again in Virginia. I call them to stand behind their work and I was completely stonewalled. TA roadside in Raphine, Virginia came out and redid the repair for 739.00 on the side of I-81. I repeatedly have reached out to them. Left messages and only got one response was that my only recourse was to take the alternator back to the parts dealer they purchased it from. Complete scammers taking advantage of hard working truckers. Never use these guys. Better to wait on TA.

Always got the job done and never had any problems after working on our trucks and trailers. Reliable and trustworthy. Cost of repairs and services are cheaper then anyone else. I highly recommend these guys.

John Herron: wow I can t say enough about this place. We are visiting family, broke down. 1st place we called said they were at least a month out on vehicles and wouldn t even attempt to come look at our truck. Called this place next and they have gone out of their way to help us. Got to us in 30Min, checked vehicle and agreed we could drive to their shop. Once there, they were diligent in getting the truck fixed, made several trips getting fluids, sensor etc. made sure everything was working perfect before we left. We highly recommend this place!

My husband and I were on our way to Florida and we had a hose leaking transmission fluid, we needed help fast. They started on our 36ft Country coach Intrigue right away, and diagnosed more issues with our exhaust. They gave us a great price and completed the job within hours. We highly recommend this awesome garage for all your engine issues! Thanks again!

Needed help last minute for my truck and the owner let me come use a tool after hours. Hard to find people of that caliber now days. Customer service was a 10/10.

I do not recommend this company. I needed my truck checked. I was told they would look at it on a Friday evening and call me with cost. Then I was told they would make the repairs on Saturday. They did not even look at my truck until Monday and would not return my calls prior to Monday. After I picked up my truck, I realized that two pair of expensive sunglasses and a truckers gps were stolen. I contacted them about the stolen goods and asked them to check the cameras. I was told they would check and they would make it right. It has been two weeks and they still have not called me.

My husband and I were on our way to Florida from Texas. It was a Saturday around 4:00pm in the afternoon. We were wanting to be at his Dads that night. Then our truck blew a coolant line. I started googling 24 hour mechanic shops. I found Higgins Diesel and trailer repair. I ask if they had someone to help us. At first the lady I spoke to said they would not have a mechanic until Monday. I explained that we were from out of state and were on our way to Florida. She was so polite and understanding. She said give me a minute and let me see what I can do. She called me back and said she had someone that could help. We were able to drive the 5 miles to their shop and with in an hour we were ready to go. The people there were so nice. I loved talking to the gentleman's wife and children they were very sweet and great with our little Yorkie. I didn't get their names, but a couple of people call the gentle Squirrel. Wished we would have had you change that tire on the trailer too. It ended up blowing on us. I would highly recommend Higgins diesel and trailer repair. We can't thank them enough.

Special Thanks to the family for fixing my suburban to get back to the road within 3 hours. Without them I would spend some nights here because no one else opened in the weekend. The pricing of the parts and labor is clear and right.

I had a rear seal bust a few days ago and did not want to take my truck to the truckstop nor dealer shops. I like working with the local, mom and pop places. The place is not the best looking shop, but once you start talking with the head mechanic/owner, you find out he is very knowledgeable. He got the seal and brake shoes replaced, and cleaned all the diff lube off of the truck and parts. I have driven it for over 2000 miles and I haven't seen one drop of oil. The price was very reasonable and under what you would pay at a bigger shop. I recommend this place for truck repairs. Plus, everyone at the shop was super friendly. Even offered me to get me lunch. Which I politely said no because I already had my lunch in the truck. Thanks for the repair!

Great Service at Higgins!My trailer had a blown air bag and I didn't want to wait at Loves for several hours. They jumped on it right away and had us back on the road a couple of hours later. I highly recommend Higgins!!!!Transworth Leasing

We had a hydraulic hose blow out of our power leveling cylinder on our RV while we were driving. It was 4 pm and everyone was closing up as we searched for someone to help. Higgins was only 5 minutes away and we couldn t have been luckier to find them! Jeff took care of us immediately and got a replacement hose made for us in no time. We were back on the road with a new hose in under an hour and at an extremely reasonable price. We are full-time RVers with 3 kids so keeping us on the road meant the world! Thank you!

We were from out of state..AAA recommend this business. This business went over and above to get us back on the road. There customer service was down right amazing. They didnt have to accommodate us..but they did. A family owned business is always the best ppl to work with, yrs. Of knowledge went into getting our truck back on the road. Great ppl to work with and we would recommend them to anyone.

Family owned and operated by the best The only place I will ever go for every need as far as engine work gas and desiel nobody cares more the the head owner of Higgins desiel and trailer repair and I'm not saying this because I'm family or work here because this comment is not one of those fake accounts to help get business I say it's the only place where the owner Jeff has the most experience and won't charge an arm and leg for his service he's compationate and understanding in any situation he truly gives his all to his business and customers and always gets the job done the right way this guy doesn't cut corners his staff however he's Had to weed out the bad eggs from time to time he won't hire me because I don't know enough to do the excellent service he lives up to give people the best service and price around so it's mostly just him working on customers vehicles because he expects the best for his customers and that's what they always getI DON'T NOT WORK HERE AND HE reminds me every other day that he doesn't like me but I still come to him because he knows his stuff and does a great job this is a 100% true and honest rating

I have used higgins diesel repair for years... amazing people..amazing hospitality, service and anything else you could have asked for.... as for Mr trent and you turbo job that you gave a bad review...I would like to apologize on behalf of the higgins diesel repair family and extend free maintenance for any vehicle for life..... I would also like to state that the turbo was installed on the road side to try and cut down on the tow bill. Also that I would like to extend my very own personal ride AGAIN while your vehicle is being repaired, no charge of course... we will always go above and beyond, because we don't just have customers,... we have friends and long lasting relationships. . So I challenge you to come down and see for yourself how we treat you like we would want to be treated. Like family... any basic needs. From the smallest to the major repairs we will work with you and for you..100% satisfaction guarantee or we will fix it for free.... I got my turbo replaced by the guy he put a cheap clamp in which it broke on a hill I never got a receipt I paid in cash cause his app wasn t working he said he will email one I tried for five days until he just started ignoring my calls how hard is it to email a receipt I guess he didn t wanna be accountable for shabby work
