I called in the morning before work to make arrangements for a car key program on my way home. I left work late so called and said I could not make it before the advertised closing time of 5pm. He said to come on over and he would be open until I got there! It took less than 15 minutes to program the key that I had bought at the dealership where they wanted $85 to program the key (plus tax etc,!) I walked away with a programmed key for less than $50 all in. 10/10 for service, 10/10 for speed, friendliness and plain common courtesy. Thank you 5 star, you are really appreciated!

Dropped by to see if he could cut some door keys for a 2019 Tacoma. He took care of me right away. Everything worked first time. Best to call to make sure he is in the store, one person operation and is often out on a call. Great pricing too!!

Today, I pulled into my garage and got out to get my baby out of her carseat and the car locked when I closed my door - keys AND baby inside. I went into full panic mode, but Tom was at my house within 10 minutes, talked sweetly to my kiddo the whole time he was working, and had her out of there in no time. Highly recommend A 5 Star Locksmith!

Very fast and very reasonable prices! I accidentally locked my keys in my car and was stuck outside freezing, he arrived within 30 min of my initial call. Great service and great people!

Here is the best place in Huntsville / Madison area where you can get great service with great price.They are Professional and extremely fast!! He programmed my Lexus key in less than 2 minutes. With half the price that Lexus dealer gave me! An awesome experience. The staff are all so polite and friendly.

Rod, the technician, showed up within 20 minutes of me first placing the call and had no issues getting me back into my truck with a weird lock button and handle setup. Even replaced the battery in my keyfob. Fast and friendly.

I have a small "indestructible" lock box. I lost the key awhile back, and the battery died. I took it in and within a few minutes he had it open for me. Super affordable, fast and friendly!There's a reason they have so many 5 star reviews!

I cannot say enough good things about Tom and "A 5 Star". My son recently passed away and the key to his truck got lost. Tom met me within 45 minutes of calling and made a new key within minutes. He was punctual, professional and did an outstanding job all around. He is also a kind and compassionate soul. God Bless this man! You can't go wrong with this company.

I did not actually use the services from this location, however they get 5 stars from me because when I (stupidly) locked myself out of my house this morning and spent the next hour and half calling multiple other locksmiths who either didn t answer, answered and said they would call me right back and didn t, or were too busy for hours, he was the ONLY one who, even though he couldn t work me into the schedule this morning, even attempted to give me some alternate options. I was provided an alternate contact who answered immediately and is already on their way. So next time I need a locksmith, 5 Star will be my first call just for bothering to try to be helpful even if they couldn t do the work themselves

Fixed my ignition in no time. I wish I'd had known 1st, to call a locksmith when my ignition locked up. Makes sense now, but in the heat of the moment I figured, it's a mechanical issue and assumed the ignition would just be replaced. It's a little cheaper to have 5 star locksmith fix the ignition. He made me a new key, a spare, and for a bit more $$ i got a fob. Now I can lock my car too. It Worked out better than dealing with an auto shop.

I was in a tough situation with an aftermarket cylinder lock on a 2010 VW Tiguan. I was about to concede and purchase pricey OEM parts but tried Tom's shop as a final try. He went the extra mile in making my aftermarket solution work for me. Thanks Tom!

This place is AWESOME! Only spot in Huntsville I would recommend for your locksmithing needs. The owner is kind and extremely knowledgeable in the profession.Although having the cheapest prices in Huntsville (after calling several other local locksmiths for quotes), promptness, quality of work and customer service is nothing short of exceptional.I have had keys cut and remotes programmed for a Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, Prius and an Acura TSX saving me a massive headache and a burning hole in my wallet every time.NOTE - They work mobile requests frequently so please CALL TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY before making the trek out to their physical location!

I got some residential keys done. Very inexpensive and had to come back for more keys. The attendant was extremely helpful and nice explaining to me the cheap value of a deadbolt I had. My home had one key that opened 4 doors! To the untrained eye, you wouldn't even know it. Thanks A 5 Star Locksmith. You guys have a client for life now.

Tom (Owner) is absolutely awesome!I own a 2010 Mercedes Sprinter Van and I recently lost one of my van Key FOB/Keys. I was informed by the Mercedes Sprinter Van dealerships in both Birmingham and Nashville that "NO ONE", except them, had the specialized equipment or the technical expertise to be able reproduce a Sprinter van key that would actually be able to start the vehicle. I was informed that replacement Sprinter keys reproduced by anyone "except an authorized Mercedes Sprinter Van dealership" would only allow the owner to unlock the doors. That my friends was complete B.S. Tom was able to make me a replacement key for my 2010 Mercedes Sprinter Van key in under 20 minutes. It not only opens the doors, but starts the vehicle just as well as the original van key. In addition, there was a 6-month +/- "waiting list" to get a replacement Sprinter key from the dealership and the replacement/programming cost was estimated to be between $400 and $600 per-key. That's assuming the dealership could even get their hands on a blank/unprogrammed Mercedes Sprinter key in the first place. Tom only charged me $125.00 his replacement key, an absolute bargain for his time, effort and 25 years of locksmith expertise. Friendly, fast, and very affordable. Came to get my key fob programmed, but they also replaced the battery in my old one and cut the key for the new one. All for under 100$. Most places I called charge 80 for just the programming, let alone anything else I needed. 100% recommend!!!

A 5 Star Locksmith is the best in Huntsville! I called them this morning around 7:30 for a commercial lock out and they were out here by 8:30. Not only was the service fast, it was executed perfectly and was so patient when I asked for new keys to be made! I will be doing all of my business, personal and professional with A 5 Star Locksmith!

I had to get a complete rework on my locks due to a break-in that also got my spare key. Dealership quoted close to $2,000 for it, so I followed their recommendation and found a locksmith. All told to change out all the lock cylinders and two new keys was $272 (at their suggestion, I found the parts needed for way less than the dealership quote), parts were 170 that I had shipped to my house, I brought them in as soon as I got them (around 1pm) and he got me done right away, I was expecting to have to leave it over night or something and actually only had to wait 30 mins. They treated it like it was the most important thing in the world, which was very comforting because, to me, it definitely was. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone any chance I get.

After calling locksmiths across the Tennessee Valley and beyond about a 30 year-old safe I'd lost the key to, Tom at A 5 Star Locksmith said "Bring it by and I'll see what I can do." (No one else opens safes). Tom had it open in minutes! Saved me a lot of grief because my college transcripts were in there. Wanted to leave him a tip and he said "Not worried about a tip, just glad I could help." Lifesaver! Thank you Tom and A 5 Star Locksmith. Don't go anywhere else!

Great customer service. Bought my daughter a late model Hyundai that was a program car so only came with one key. It also was a standard key vs one with a chip. Called a few other places for quotes to get another key made and they all told me it was a chip key even though I was looking at it in my hand and can tell the difference. 5 Star was the only one that listened to me and fixed it right up in just a few minutes. Unlike others that I've had work done he went out to test the key after he cut it. For some reason the first key he made would start and unlock the car, but wouldn't lock the door. He quickly made another one and that one worked perfectly. Ensuring his work was correct before I left is the kind of customer service you don't always see today.

I had ordered a spare 4Runner fob from an online shop and needed to get programmed. I called A 5 Star Locksmith to get a quote. Tom, the owner, quoted me a price that was cheaper than other locksmiths, and FAR CHEAPER than the Bill Penney Toyota (been there done that)! The first thing Tom asked was the make/model of the fob and explained why it was so important to get an OEM fob with the correct model in order for the program to work correctly. He instructed me on how to break apart the fob and check for the correct model for which it wasn't He said he would try to program the non-OEM fob but recommended returning for the OEM, which I did. 10 days later I met him at the shop and within 20 min my fob was programmed and glove box key cut. Talk about honest, there was a mistake on what he charged me for the programming. Without questioning he immediately ran the refund and had my credit card corrected in minutes. He called back to ensure it went through and sent me a screen shot of the corrected transaction. Honest and thorough! I would recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith or fob programmed. This level quality of customer service is hard to find these days!

Tom is great! He gets the job done and has excellent customer service! He really cares about his customers, very competent, great communication, and great at what he does! Go to him before you go to any dealership! He has great price and comes to you! He tells you know when he's headed your way! I lost my keys at my job. He came to my job and made a key on spot! I was stressed out until he came to save the day! He keeps his word! If he says he's going to get the job done, he's going to get the job done!

We lost our car key and needed a new one programmed. 5 star worked with us to get our key working at a fraction of the cost if we went to a dealership. We are so grateful for the services received and their professionalism. They were responsive and helpful.
