If I could give zero stars I would. Be careful of this location. They give you a coupon for $24.99, then they said we needed $49.99 full synthetic blend. Everything totaled to $67 ....how? (HIDDEN COSTS) Then we drove off and now the truck is making noises. Prior to that we dropped the truck off and received a call from Jay, they were extremely nice, however they had a list of things that needed to be done that we were aware of which were minor. I know how some places operate and most are commissioned based. They thought they could undermine us. I called back up there after we drove off and spoke with Jay and they wanted me to bring it back...for what??? To mess our truck up worse? I guess they have amateurs working back there, I don't know but they will never get our business ever again. I'm writing this review to WARN others.They kept trying to convince us to upgrade on another service when we picked up the truck....MONEY HUNGRY! Find somewhere else to take your vehicle.Also there were no customers in the parking lot....it appears we were fooled, but not anymore.

I called To verify that I can use my Groupon coupon. Jay was awesome. He verified that it was OK. He made me an appointment. Same day I came. I had the best experience with him and Julien. The atmosphere was great. They had Starbucks coffee great conversation the technicians were great. I would highly highly recommend coming to this facility and will definitely return.

Excellent service! Michael, the manager I assume, is super helpful and honest.I brought my granddaughters car in for a wheel alignment and he told me it was unrepairable and dangerous and he said he would put his daughter in it. He recommended a few places to get a good used car. Highly recommend.

Very courteous I didn't like having to pay for an additional quart of synthetic oil when my Groupon deal stated full oil change and filter for one price. I didn't fuss and paid the extra $11 for the quart.

Midas is the only place I take my car. Mike and Perry took good care of me and my vehicle. I was super worried about how I was going to pay for everything, but they helped me get cost down AND sat with me through the whole process of signing up for a payment method. They answered all the questions I had with kindness. This is extremely valuable to me as a college student away from home. I definitely recommend Midas in Hoover! Thank you guys for everything!

Mike was very nice and professional. He explained things to me and my teenage daughter in a simple yet respectful way. So important to find a trustworthy mechanic. We will return to Midas for services for our cars.

The people at the desk were cool but it took 2 and a half hours and the techs left the oil filter loose and a bunch of oil leaked out of my car. Ended up having to pay for another oil change elsewhere.

Horrible place. Walked in to the lobby to ask for a brake inspection and 2 of the techs were in there talking filthy and making nasty comments about a woman who left as I came in. As I walked outside with the service guy to show him my car one of the techs stopped right in front of us in his little black car and just rev banged it. It sounded awful. Like it was straight piped. I couldn't even hear the guy I was talking to... I just got fed up and left, I must certainly don't want these type of people working on my BRAKES!

Had my brakes flushed and they did a perfect job. Also the cheapest in Hoover. Jake, the manager could not have been nicer. Very pleased.

My experience with Midas was horrible. I was over charged for brakes. Fifteen days later, I did not have any brakes. I was cheated, mistreated and disrespected. March 8, 2023, I took my car to Midas in Hoover, AL (1697 Montgomery Highway, Hoover, AL 35216), for brakes. I did not have an appointment. The brakes were $$563.85. March 23, 2023 (15 days later), my brake light came on and I did not have any brakes. I took my car back to Midas, immediately. I tried to explain what was happening when I applied the brakes. I was told I needed an appointment. I asked if someone could check my car to see if it was safe to drive. The manager stated that he did not have a mechanic to check my car. He stated that the car will be fine as long as I do not drive a long distance. I was given an appointment for March 24, 2023, at 8:00 AM. May 24, 2023, I was told that I needed to have the brake line replaced. The total cost would be $978.23 (parts $234.97 and labor $655.94). The manager stated that after replacing the brake line, they will drive the car to see if the transmission was causing the brake line problem. He stated that it was too dangerous to drive the car, prior to having the brake line replaced. He stated that if it was the transmission, he did not know how much it would cost; he will tell me later. I told him to take my car off the rack. The manager tried to force me to sign a blank document. He stated that if I did not sign the document, he could not give me my key. I told him to keep the key. When I was leaving with my extra key, he ran outside and gave me my key. I sent a certified letter to Midas President and CEO and a copy to the Better Business Bureau. To this date, I have not received a response from the President and CEO. The Better Business Bureau has not received a response from Midas, after several attempts. After my bad experience, I read the bad Midas rating. I understand the bad rating. Do not take your to Midas.Service: Brakes

I have been going to this location since last summer and have been satisfied with the consistent service. Wilson and Bebe, who mainly take care of my car when I'm having issues, are always communicative and looking out for the best thing to do for my car. I travel a lot for work so I am at least getting an oil change every two months. Wilson and Bebe always make sure to spot out anything wrong with my car early onset and provide a quick, efficient service compared to other competitive auto repair places. I refer this shop for anyone in the Hoover area or anyone looking to get their car serviced quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable price. I had a hard time finding somewhere to weld a new flex pipe on my car with short notice on a Saturday with my two screaming godless heathens. This place was amazingly accommodating! My wife brought her new car (that actually works) and occupied the monsters while I tried to piece my life back together. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about cars and they taught me a couple of things. They worked me in as quickly as they could and kindly sent me on my merry Fast and the Furious way! The mechanic ran a great bead on my exhaust and I could not be happier with it. Whilst still lose consistently to Toyota Tundras this was a vast improvement in my driving experience! 10/10

Horrible service. First off, the staff is not looking towards the customers best interest at heart, their only goal is to draw as much money as possible from a customer. Secondly, the staff team is lazy. The only way to get what you need done is to pressure and micromanage them. If and only IF, you have to go to them, DO NOT drop your vehicle off with them. Stay with your vehicle the entire time, that s the only way to ensure you get proper service done at a decent timeframe.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Don't come here if you value your money.They charged me $235 for a part that costs $80 across the street at autozone. They literally called right in front of me and ordered them. Then tried to upcharge other services on top of it. I get they're a business, but a 170% markup is ridiculous.They take advantage of their customers who they know NEED to have this work done now or be without transportation.$1600 gone. Do not come here.

We got quoted $500 to replace one spark plug at Honda dealership that would take hours. When we called Midas he told us come on down and it would be $40 to do right now. We did end up needing all spark plugs replaced but it was still cheaper than the $500 Honda quoted for just one. Wilson and his crew members were honest, friendly and took good care of our family. We came in with 4 young kids and each time he told us how long it would take, he was right in the dot about it. Thankfully they were able to fix our car so we could continue our vacation. I d highly recommend this location for their trustworthy employees and time efficient work that they did.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning

I went to get an oil change at this location. He gave me a price of a little over 100.00. I then told him that I had a coupon for 29.99. He then tells me that my car can only take full blend, in which the coupon price was 49.99. He adds on all these additional charges to make the price 90.00. I feel that if I was a man, then this situation would not have happened.

Horrible customer service. I came in to get service or appointment to have my brakes done. Man at the desk was rude and had attitude. Heard him being rude to person on the phone also. I came in for an oil change - they were extremely friendly and helpful. They let me know of two of my tires that were in desperate need of replacing. The cost for the tires were cheaper than most other places I had priced them. When everyone else turned me away for my exhaust issue, these guys dove right in. Pricing was better than I expected along with turnaround time. It s hard to take my Porsche to just anyone but I love when you take your vehicle to someone that knows their craft and speaks on it with passion. That s rare in the automotive industry where most people just wanna make a buck. You can tell they enjoy automotive work and are good at it.Service: Exhaust
