Had an engine swapped out estimate was no where near final price my vehicle has been sitting still since. Was not aligned correctly with transmission so I have been looking elsewhere for someone to work on the transmission. Do not recommend...

We got stranded with a car that just suddenly stopped in a very unfamiliar town. We were two hours from home and two hours from our destination. The whole experience was very stressful. We called Fort Payne Automotive Center and the lady working reception was incredibly kind and helpful. We were able to tow the car in and they were able to get to it and immediately found what was wrong. I was surprised how fast they fixed it (within 3 days) and how great communication was. I don t know anything about pricing and cost when it comes to what s in the area, but I know that we were in a huge bind and they went all out and we re able to help us. I am very thankful!

I hate being this guy, but I drove almost an hour because these guys have good reviews and claim they can fix my issue. I take my car there and drop it off under the pretense they ll easily install my direct bolt on turbo only for a phone call only an hour later (already back home) to sorry we can t do it for you. When I asked why they claimed wrong part which is not true because it came directly off a friend of mines car that s same year, make and model. It s made for it. When I asked for a better explanation all I got was Nothing we can do, sorry come get it . To add insult to injury, customer service was atrocious. Guess when you run a 4 and a half star business it gets to your head. Anyways, if you need and oil change or it s your only other option. Go for it. Otherwise, seek someone more professional.

My son and I were on a school field trip to Huntsville and on our return our car broke down. I randomly selected the closest place to get it fixed. The car arrived at 12 o clock to the Fort Payne Automotive Center and they had it diagnosed and repair (a new alternator) by 4 pm!!! Life savers!!! The guys were great and super hard workers, if I lived in Fort Payne this is where I would take my vehicle!

Scott and his team are great! They are willing to go the extra steps to make sure the service work is correct and they are speedy about doing it. One of the last, few, true mechanics, that can still work on older model vehicles.

We where there on a trip from Florida and our Toyota had a radiator issue. They provided excellent service on short notice. And they stood behind their work when a problem arose. I don t leave many reviews but I had to leave one for this place. This place has the absolutely nicest, friendliest, most helpful people I have ever met. Very fair pricing on top. About 5 months ago I paid to have the spark plugs replaced in my truck. As I started having engine missing problems I took it somewhere else and they said those old plugs were never changed. I won t go back there again. I got charged about $700.00 bucks because they said they were hard plugs to change. I guess they re not difficult if you don t really replace them. Vw Passat suddenly started leaking oil during the cold weather. Mechanic here installed new crank seal at a reasonable price. Here again,great service as quick as possible.

Scott and Gina and the rest of the staff are great people. They have taken care of our cars for years. Yesterday, we picked up our 1992 Ford Ranger that now has a new engine! Great job Fort Payne Automotive! Thank you!

The transmission went out in our truck recently while we were headed to De Soto State Park. Scott had a new transmission installed quickly at a competitive price. When my car broke down, I called every shop in town, I had it towed to two other places... I understood then, why they a little wait... no one could figure it out... All along Mr. Scott said he could, he did, and knew exactly what it was when no other shop did.. I went to school with him, our kids go to school together, it's been awesome watching him grow... That alone speaks for itself... He's the best, his crew is the best... There's no other place to go... Hard working, local, family owned... They do it all, too service, to tires, lift kits to corvettes... Don't trust no other!!! Fort Payne automotive got you covered!!!

If I could give this place half of a star I would.The owner is a money hungry crook.1st experience: Kept my vehicle for 2 weeks and never found a solution to fix my vehicle.2nd experience: Told me the part for my vehicle would be $500+, when I mentioned getting my own part he miraculously found one for roughly $350. I then asked if he could write the part number down so I could look for the part myself at a cheaper price. He wrote the part number down for me, I ordered the part, and took it to him. After leaving the vehicle with him for a few hours, he called and said the part wouldn t fit my vehicle and he couldn t find a part for my car at all. The part is non returnable/nonrefundable. He would not accept responsibility for his mistake, and would not try to compensate me in any way. Instead told me to leave and never come back. He also removed an item from my vehicle. Granted, it was returned when I went back to discuss the matter at hand; but in Alabama as of 2019 I believe that would be termed theft. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The owner was rude and his demeanor towards his staff, which is his wife, son and daughter was tactless. There will be no 3rd experience.

I can t say enough positive things about this place. We broke down on the interstate nearby and called them in search of help. They recommended a reliable towing service that could fit me, my wife, our baby, and our cat into the cab of the truck. We were expecting the worst given that the oil light was on and it was 3pm the day after Christmas. They worked us in, diagnosed and repaired the problem in under 2 hours, allowing us to drive our own car Home without having to rent a car or stay in a hotel overnight. Can t thank them enough!

I have a feeling that all the negative reviews for the Fort Payne Automotive Center are from jealous competitors who couldn't hold a candle to the quality and value provided by this excellent business. As a genuine customer I can attest to the great work for reasonable prices done by FPAC's team of professionals. This is especially true for Gina!

Scott and his team have been servicing my car for 10 years, even when I worked for a dealership, they still did most of my service. This is really the best place in town to go for any issue took have with your vehicle.

They were great with my Jeep and reasonably priced it was like one stop shopping they were able to get things done that I had to take it to several places instead of just one. Will definitely use them from now on.

Wife was in road to Texas and called a/C was not working well. Called ahead and they said was probably low but would likely take an hour. They got her in/out in about 30 minutes with cool air.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Left my car with them to have the heater core hoses changed because of a leak and picked it up with no heat. They broke off the intake to my heater core, did a bypass and tried to give me a quote to fix the heater core they broke. This winter is rough.

Know the mechanic from high school. Knows vehicles. Quick service. Suggest a try with this one. Good prices!
