Very unprofessional!. Called asking about a part I bought from him and he started cussing talking about he ain t got time for no bull sh_t and continued to be disrespectful. I asked him why he was talking to me like that bc I only wanted the right part and was ready to pay for it but with his attitude I wouldn t advise anyone to spend there money with him!!!!!!. Very very rude and unprofessional!!!!!.

The old man at the counter promised he would reimburse me on my part of I had to return it for any reason.I tried to return it and he told me that he wasn't going to give me my money back then he degraded me as a human being and this is the worst I've ever been treated.This place is run by a rude dishonest scam artist.Dont do business here it's a joke that this place is still in business.

Was hour and half drive for me to get there. Ended up leave with a whole parts car and three sets of aftermarket wheels and tires. Tires looked nearly brand new. They was really busy and had a little wait no longer than the wait at a grocery store. Anytime a employee past me they alway made sure to keep me up to date on the product being pulled for me. Will definitely be a regular place for automotive parts for me.

Everytime I need some help with tires wheels or both. I can call or stop by and they got what I need . Not to expensive & no wait . Polite & easy prices.

I bought an engine from this company about two weeks ago and the engine was wrong so the mechanic I hired had to take it back and exchange it. During that exchange for the second time around for the wrong engine this company gave me an engine with a broken water pump. They are very responsive, but the service is horrible and the owner was very nasty and practically disrespectful. The employees at least had more grace (Michael) I was told by Michael who works there that he would reimburse me for however much the extra part was that I needed to buy for the engine. Which the extra part was $200.The engine initially bought was completely the wrong engine for my car for starters WITH the broken part. When I went to the dealer to order the part and got the part I called back to talk about reimbursements and the owner told me that they would NEVER reimburse me for a broken part from them.I am highly disappointed and upset that I trusted this company not being from Alabama and knowing any mechanics or auto part companies. I was recommended to this place. Bad idea. Man did they let me down.If you guys want to order parts from this company make sure that you know exactly what you want and make sure you have someone who is very knowledgeable about things so that they will not send you a part that is incomplete- you waste your money because they will not exchange or reimburse you for it.

Good down to earth people at Bookouts Auto real helpful and smart about there parts. And plus they will give you some of the best prices around. Just talk to Michael, or Bruce Bookout. Tell them Walter sent you and they we treat you like a good friend. GOD Bless Us All.

Needed a starter for my wife's Ford escape and couldn't find a new one in stock anywhere nearby as I was replacing it in the parking lot of her workplace. I called bookout auto parts and they said they have plenty of them. The best thing was that the price was 1/4 of the lowest price quoted for a remanufactured starter at local parts stores and would have to be ordered and would be charged as much for a core charge as I paid for the used starter at bookout. My wife really didn't want to trust a used starter but I convinced her that it is easy to replace on her Ford escape and we could buy 4 used starters for less than the price of 1 remanufactured starter and I have been running a used starter on my 1989 Toyota hilux 4wd truck for over 10 years and still going strong. I took the starter off and carried it with me to match up for certain and it only took them a few minutes to go get one and the price quoted on the phone is exactly what I was charged. While I was there I also got a replacement spare tire since ours was damaged and would not hold air. Very courteous staff and quick service. Highly recommend.

Great guys, if they are busy they will let you find the part yourself. Or atleast they let me and it was a rare part but I found it there. They also let me exchange the part I bought that wouldn't work. So yeah I highly recommend them.

Every transmission , motor , or rear end I've gotten there has been great ! I drive past several used auto parts places to go from Talladega to the other side of Birmingham so I recommend you do the same !

Horrible. Terrible customer service. Rude. They do not like to answer questions. They do not like to check inventory. Called today. All I wanted were wheels. I would not recommend this place to anyone

It says on their sign HOME OF THE GOOD GUYS Everytime I call they hang up rudley and I've heard them cursing an employee on 3-4-2009 when i purchased a used alternator from them I will probably go back for parts but honestly the experience sadly has NOTHING GOOD about it I actually dread dealing with them but definitely praying for peace

One of the rudest people ever met is the old guy at the counter. Stay away if at all possible.
